When you first walk in you are greeted and presented with the various projects that the shop has to offer. After selecting pottery painting, canvas painting, or glass fusing you are explained the next steps. We each selected two objects to paint and spent the afternoon in the studio painting away. We go pick up our art in 10 days which is the processing time. The shop does have a strict 60 day policy to pickup within or your art is thrown out. A fun and unique experience!

Instructions were clear, supplies were all we needed and the instructor took time to help my husband when he fell behind (I mean, took his time). The space was set well for the crowd, and there was enough room that we weren't bumping elbows. Bring your own drink-- stop by a local brewery on the way or visit the Dunkin' next door if that's more your speed. As a comparison, this is much more of an art class than a Paint Nite experience, in my opinion. That was totally fine for us, as we planned more for the evening. The general selection of ceramics was a bit smaller than other local places, but they offer a variety of stuff to choose from. In addition to the adult paint nights, they also offer kids classes (two hours, drop off). We'll be back.

So, I got to check out the grounds around the main building before the bride and groom arrived for rehearsal. They have a wonderful wandering Garden with Fountains and water features. I could sit by a loud water feature for hours. The wedding was in the garden, but the facility had prepared the Veranda in case the rain didn't clear up. In addition to the new main structure, they have Historical buildings and Summer camps.

First you walk from the parking lot to the old barn, you can see it's located by the entrance roadside, and once you get there, walk down the trail, and keep going. You'll be in sort of intersection on your left but we won't turn left here, keep walking and you'll see a walking path *watch on your right with a (ruined) stone gate alike. Walk across the stone gate, turn left and walk for around 10-15 foot steps and turn right, and keep walking until you'll see a sign of small pond on your left, then you're on the right path. You can walk closer to the pond through the short path on your left (that's what we did) and watched any movement around the water, and we found a turtle from here! Or, you can continue walking down the previous path until you see a bridge on your left. From the bridge, you'll see the biggest beaver dam was created along the water line. How cool is that? Another coolest thing was, we bumped into THE BEAVER!! Aaaahhhh!?! Yeeessss!?! We explored and walked back to the trail and found wineberries patch and mulbery tree, so we stopped there and enjoy the berries! *check your left while walking up the hill. Along the walk, we also found A Story Walk, a Demonstration Garden next to Nature Play Scene, a sleeping Eastern Screech Owl, goats house and chickens house. That's a wrap for our good hike today! It was good since the ground was dry and allowed us to explore more around the wetlands 10520 Old Frederick Rd, Woodstock, MD 21163 Daily 9AM-3PM, Sunday Closed inside the Gudelesky Environmental Education Center, with water fountains next to it. some stone trails/path in Clark Honor Garden are accessible both for strollers and wheelchairs. Coaches were super helpful, and liked that they respected the kids when helping. I was also happy to see that classes were not over packed like other establishments we have tried before. We will definitely be trying other classes after this one! I'll update as this was the first time we have taken a "class". It's still less structured than I anticipated but still loved that the coaches helped my little build confidence to try new things and didn't push them to try!

My daughter loves the classes and does not want me to cancel ever. She began coming her since Feb on her 9th birthday and was enrolled into beginner blooms. After 6 months they recommended her go into intermediate blooms. I love that. They evaluate the kids to see when they are ready to go to the next step and give you the option to switch classes when available. The goal is for them to get better so seeing this and what she can do validates that. I love the show cases they have for the parents. And on an everyday basis there is seating for parents when you are waiting for the class to be finished. If you have to makeup a class it's super easy! I didn't do it right the first time and Thaina assisted me virtually to make my experience pleasant . Great customer service here. I cannot wait to continue to see my child development here. Thank you all

Sometimes they'd go to the park in Clifton (for a lot of the same team building exercises my wife's company had done there); on another day, the kids went caving; and on another day, they went canoeing and swimming. Most people know Adventure Links for their popular camp programs for children and teens. However, they also offer stellar corporate team building programs, which is how I got to know them. About five years ago, as the CEO of a growing company of 20 professionals, I was struggling with how to address some growing pains and spice up our upcoming quarterly retreat. A friend recommended Adventure Links, so I scheduled a meeting with Anna, the CEO. Anna came to my office and interviewed me to understand my business, our challenges, and what I hoped to accomplish. She asked many questions, listened, and took notes. The next week, we took our team of 20 to their retreat location. Anna and her team had put together an all-day agenda of activities that went way beyond simple ropes courses. What surprised and "sold" me on them was how she'd managed to incorporate our growing pains into her exercises in meaningful ways. Sure, we had fun and bonded, but more importantly most of us began to see certain everyday problems in meaningful new ways, with fresh solutions. To this day our team references those exercises like old Seinfeld episodes. After each exercise - some physically challenging and all mentally challenging - Anna would bring us together and help us draw correlations to some of our corporate issues. It helped that she has a sharp wit and great sense of humor. She and her team also knew when to push and put us on the spot to drive home a point. Six months later, we wanted to bring Adventure Links back for another quarterly retreat, but this time due to bad weather we had to do the exercises in our office. They totally pulled it off! The indoor exercises were unique and again gave us a fresh perspective on both issues and people. An example - during one intense exercise where we split into two teams, a junior staff person had a "eureka!" moment with a brilliant solution to a problem, and spontaneously took control of our team, which included several executives. I had no idea this young lady was so intellectually gifted and capable of leadership under pressure. How valuable is that information for an employer? My firm has engaged Adventure Links several times since then, all with success. When my children are old enough, I'll be sending them to the Adventure Links camps...I know they'll learn and have fun. Adventure Links rocks!

Not only have I sent 3…read moreemails about the additional days that MCPS closed their offices over winter break (it's been almost 2 weeks), I'm not even getting a reply to let me know they're looking in to the situation. The Poolesville location is like the forgotten campus....old toys, NO type of "extra" activities, like a moon bounce, turkey trot, or even the materials to do these activities (the pictures from all of the other campuses look lovely...they are not even a small representation of their Poolesville location). The staff are not all qualified, they don't know how to talk to the children correctly, and it's really a shame because they only have *maybe* 20-25 kids at any given time, which means they could be doing SO much with the kids and location, yet it's apparent that they don't care. Their staff is treated poorly (that's been made very clear by the fact that our location has new staff members multiple times EVERY school year) and the staff that do try, are basically just left to sink or swim with very little guidance. My child is only there because she has an incredible connection to 1 teacher, she is totally self sufficient, and because their enrollment is so low, she enjoys not having a million kids around. We've been at this location for 5 years, and nothing has changed. No matter the conversations had with their head office, the licensing violations, or any other parent complaints. I've given them 5 years to fix problems and they don't. Enough is enough. I'd enroll elsewhere, if you have the option.

I filled out some forms to then find out he wasn't eligible bc his medical forms at school weren't updated yet (apparently the nurse at school has been backed up on requesting these records) so we couldn't get him in. Later, I started receiving statements for tuition and for $150 registration form. I wrote an email to Jeimy at Tuition and she said the fee was for just registering my child. I explained to her that he never attended and we had canceled the registration and she said that the fee had to be paid anyway. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Their registration process was so tedious, their staff is rude, and rarely answer the phone, AND MY KID NEVER WENT THERE! Anyway, I kept getting harassed with emails weekly abt the registration fee of $150, I finally just paid for it bc I was getting bombarded. They literally stole $150 from me. BEWARE!
