My family loves Best Brains including our son who says he likes going there because he enjoys learning math that they give him . Our son also said he's probably the only student in his classroom that's doing advance math. The teachers & staff at BB are wonderful and caring. Their goal is to help your child succeed in their studies. Our son has been there for two years mainly 5 days a week. BB does offer 3 days as well. He started in 2nd grade, now in 3rd grade and next year when he'll be in 4th grade. He goes there directly after school by public school transportation. There's always bus transportation from any MCPS school in the area. BB will coordinate that with the school & bus depot to ensure there's a stop. And when the bus arrives there's always a staff to make sure your child arrived & gets off the bus safely. Going back to what we love about BB is the enrichment curriculum they provide with their aftercare program. When our son arrives, he gets a snack & a drink then works on school homework. After school HW is completed, he works on his Best Brains workbooks in math & english. Then after the students complete their work, they have play time until parents come to pick up. The key differentiator between Best Brains and other after school programs is the focus on homework and enrichment but in a quiet and focused setting. Most other aftercare programs are just offering a supervised environment for your child to socialize & play and not much else. Also at these other aftercare programs offered at the homeschool, when a student does HW they have to do it in much noisier & distracting environment. Completing homework at Best Brains also gives us a chance to enroll our son in other activities during the week such as swim & martial arts. Our son was accepted into the MCPS Gifted and Talented Program this upcoming school year when he enters 4th grade. We have no doubt that the Best Brains curriculum helped him tap into his true potential and excel on his MAP & MAPR tests and so far has achieved straight A's. I'm speaking on behalf of a family that has two small children ages 6 & 7. Our children are in kindergarten and 1st grade and they presently go to Best Brains in Clarksburg, Maryland and have been going for 5 months. This has been a life changing experience for our children! We recently applied to a Christian academy school and after reviewing the scores of their entrance tests with the school principal we discovered that each child is either demonstrating comprehension and capability to do reading and/or completing math problems at least two grades above the grade their currently in. We are so grateful to God in making this opportunity available through coming to Best Brains in sharpening and strengthening our children's aptitude! My 10 year old daughter has been going to Best Brains, Clarksburg location for more than a year now. She absolutely loves going there. The center is very well organized. This place is great for additional learning. I also love abacus program as it helps her learn math without relying on calculator. It helps her remember and be able to quickly do the math in her head. In short, this is very good learning center for kids to challenge outside of school curriculum. It is a great place for learning and practicing what is learnt. I attended the open house event and was quite impressed about what Best Brains can offer to my children. After the assessment test, I could see where my kids need help and how Best Brains Curriculum can help. I actually went to enroll for enrichment classes but decided to do After School Program since it is going to be much cheaper than doing After school and enrichment in two different places. They have it all in one package.Check it out and help your children do better in their academics. Best brain center in Clarksburg is very good ,my 8 yr old ​son loves going there. They engage the kids not only in academic areas but also fun games team building activities and guide them with proper learning approach according to the kids skill level.
