BEWARE OF TRIAL OFFER SCAM
BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front) - The 30-day trial is really 15 days (or less). If you don't cancel by the 15th of the month you will be charged for the next month. Thus the 30-day trial is really a 60-day trial. Unless you figure out immediately, like after the first session, Best Brains is not a good fit for your child.
With that said, we were looking for an English and Math Enrichment Program for our daughters during the summer that they could attend together. Our oldest daughter attends Art of Problem Solving (AOPS) Gaithersburg (highly recommend), but they only run during the school year. Our youngest daughter attends Mathnasium. We saw a Best Brains sign offering a "one month" trial. We figured we'd give it a 30-day trial and if we liked it we'd consider moving the girls. After the 3rd week, we realized it wasn't a good fit for our girls. We contacted Best Brains before the end of the 30 days and advised we'd be canceling at the end of the trial period. We figured no harm no foul, BUT NOT SO FAST. We were told since we didn't contact them before the 15th (which would have been after the second session) we would be charged for the following month. I objected, but to no avail. We were offered the training material for the month charged. read more
