Overall: this is definitely a great place to shop for gifts. I'll definitely come back for bridal items for my friends that are getting married.

I was in the shop on July 17 and bought a wallet. After trying it out in my hotel room I realized…read morethat the credit cards could fall out of the open wallet. I returned to the store on July 18, less than 24 hours later to return the wallet. The employee behind the counter was extremely rude and did not explain anything as she was handling my return. I did not realize that I would not get a refund but only a store credit or an exchange. She was very unfriendly and after I quickly selected a random candle, she still did not explain that the rest of the return was in the form of a gift card which she had thrown into the bag without telling me. I turned to the person in line behind me and gave them the gift card. I am assuming that most of the customers are from out of town and that a gift card would not only be inconvenient but would probably not get used. The shop is cute and has nice things, but I would not recommend it to anyone. Maybe some training on customer service would also be worthwhile for the staff.

There was not one thing I would put on my body and it seems as if the buyers were trying to find the most unflattering dresses possible. Who is their target customer? And perhaps even witnessing an adorable toddler* frolicking around the shop? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you need to check out Bliss. Started by two sisters, this adorable boutique boasts fashionable, casual apparel and the carefully selected inventory includes both of-the-moment styles and classic pieces. As Megan M mentioned, it's not a huge shop but new items arrive all the time so I love visiting on a regular basis to check out what's new. The clothing leans towards the more casual side, but I've snagged everything from a French Connection striped tee (perfect for lounging around the house) to a Cooper by Courtney strapless silk dress (cocktail attire when paired with heels and jewelry). One of my favorite aspects of the shop is the absence of purchase pressure. Both sisters are super friendly and always make me feel welcome from the moment I enter the store. I often find items to purchase (sad wallet, happy closet), but when I don't I never feel awkward leaving empty-handed. This - coupled with the fantastic frocks - has made me a loyal customer and fan. Whenever I feel the need to shop (which, let's be real, is probably way more often than I should) and actually have a little dough to spend, Bliss is always on my list of boutiques to visit. *One of the owners has the cutest daughter who sometimes pops into the shop with her mom. You will find lovely hostess gifts including kitchen dishes, dish and hand towels with cute prints, differently-branded candles with a wide variety of scents, and interesting spreads and sweets. There are also decorative items, greeting cards, clothing, accessories and jewelry, and personal care items like soaps and lotions. The prices are very reasonable given the local/small-batch artisan feel, and everyone can find something within their budget. The website does a great job of showing the kinds of products R2R offers, and you can order online. The staff here is super approachable and helpful. I already have so many ideas for future gifts to buy for my friends and family for any occasion. Today, the saleswoman told me how I could have new Makana-branded candles shipped to the store and giftwrapped! As a heads up, parking can be a little tricky. During the lunch rush, there was only one spot left when I arrived - it was fate! When I left, every spot was still taken. Bottom line: R2R is a wonderful shop full of lovely gifts for yourself and others. It offers unique products and warm customer service!

I was trying on a Taxco silver jewelry necklace/earring/bracelet set and couldn't decide if I wanted to purchase it. The kind/stylin' person at the counter offered for me to take a picture of the set, so that I could think about it and come back later, should I decide to purchase it. She then laid the set out on a display tray, so that I could capture the set's essence in an iPhone 6 pic. Unfortunately, my forgetfulness made an appearance alongside my indecision and caused me to accidentally leave my earrings, the ones I was wearing when I walked in, on the counter. Also unfortunately, I was on a bus back to D.C. when I noticed I was earringless.
