Still the best hair cut I've gotten in San Diego…read more I have been going here for over 8 years and have never had a bad hair cut. The hair cuts are always consistent and look great, but the consistency is what I appreciate. Steven is my barber. He took me in as a walk-in years ago and have stayed with him ever since. Steven also cuts my son's hair so it's always fun to go together and get our ears lowered. There are currently 4 barbers here. All are super cool with fun personalities. They always have music or a movie playing. They also have a beer fridge, so help yourself if you're thirsty. Hair cut prices are fair, in my opinion, because you get a great quality cut and a shaving cream/razor finish. Cuts cost $35 You make your appointments on their website. They have a phone number that you can call them, but thy prefer you make your appointment online. I downloaded the Booksy app and make my appointment that way. It's super easy and straight forward. I don't think they always take walk-ins but you can try your luck.

Kyle is my go-to when our schedules match (Kevin is my backup, but equally good. As are all of the guys.) It's always nice when your guy remembers you and I always have a great time catching up. I just had my first haircuts in six months and he still knew exactly what I wanted. I walked out clean and felt great. I always enjoy the crew working the chairs. Good Padres talk and people that know the area and make me feel like I'm at home. They recently redid the inside of the shop and it looks awesome, BUT they took out one of the TVs and three of the five chairs have to stare at the wall if they don't feel like being social. I love the cuts and the conversation, but I miss being able to see the TV from my seat. I hope it doesn't affect which barbers get people because of that. Big fan of these guys and super happy to have them nearby!

Azaleah isn't just an incredibly talented barber who gives the sharpest fades I've ever had-she is an absolute pleasure to be around and has become a consistent, bright spot in my weekly routine. I constantly get compliments on her work, and as I prepare to move, saying goodbye to this shop is one of the hardest parts. It's going to take a long time to find anyone who can even come close to her skill and character. If you want a barber who genuinely cares about the craft and her clients, look no further.

The barber offered to clean the sides of my hair a bit too, and the shave was with an old electric, shaving machine, not the expected blade shave that you get in a barbershop not very pleasant and at the end the bill was $40 so will not be going back to the place and I don't recommend it. Addendum: see the business-owner response bellow. I will not comment on it as it speaks for itself.

As someone who has fallen victim to some terrible haircuts in my childhood, I refused to let that happen to him. I got on the Google machine and literally typed in "best place in San Diego for a 12 year old boy to get a cool haircut" (LOL) and Wise's popped up. I booked an appointment with Tommy and I am so glad that I did! Tommy took the time to listen to my kid and they figured out together exactly what he wanted. He left the barbershop feeling so good and confident. I caught him checking himself out in the mirror constantly after that first haircut, he loved it! We just went back in yesterday for a trim before school starts and now, once again, he cannot stop staring at himself. Thank you, Tommy! Obviously, we will be back!

Legendz barbershop Owner TIM…read more On May 1, 2025, I made a Venmo transaction for Braids by Sonia, but accidentally sent it to, Tim Dadaba the owner of Legends Barber Shop and my barber at one. I contacted Tim via text, May 1 who indicated receiving an email notification of the transaction (full text messages may be uploaded to Google and Yelp). Nonetheless, Tim agreed to refund the in error payment. On May 2, I contacted Venmo, conveyed the situation, and they provided a case number for Tim to use to reverse the $190 transaction. Although I provided Tim with the case number and instructions of the process, I didn't hear back from him for 3 weeks, by which time I had already disputed the charge with my bank and venmo canceled the claim due to the owner of Legendz failed to contact venmo to dispute the claim (email reply will be attached to Google and Yelp). When communicating with Tim via text, he's insisting that I contact Venmo again to reverse the charges, which I'm unable to do. Tim has sent voice and text messages expressing extreme frustration about the inconvenience and mentioning an issue with his significant other, but I'm unclear how that relates to him taking $190 from me. I've informed him that I've spoken to my bank to dispute the charge. As of today, July 17, 2025 my banking institution finds "no error" thereby reversing the disputed amount of $190.00. The unnecessary waste of my time has led to mental frustration and confusion, resulting in a series of issues including gas, debit card replacement, a new credit card, a Better Business Bureau complaint, public notification through various media outlets, and a small claims court case for $190, plus any additional fees (court & notary) etc. Side note: My transactions with venmo clearly show no transactions between, Tim and myself since August 16, 2023. However, the business I intended to pay reflects $190 transaction on multiple occasions in the past year and a half. My initial interaction with Tim required me to make a deposit for first time consumers per his policy, after the initial visit he reversed the deposit on venmo thereby crediting my account. What sets this transaction apart? The owner of Legendz Barber shop has stolen a $190 invalid payment then later created a scenario to justify stealing my money and needless to say Tim and myself never had an altercation when I was a client.
