I was at Ballas Chiropractic about two years ago, and even though time has passed, I haven't been…read moreable to stop thinking about this experience, so I want to share what I've learned since leaving. Before coming to Ballas, my pelvis was scooping to the right and my left shoulder was bending over my left hip -- my body was essentially shaped like a C. I didn't know this at the time; I just knew I was having breathing problems and migraines. But Ballas never caught it, because they only x-rayed down to my chest and never imaged my pelvis. As a result, their care didn't help -- it made me significantly worse. One adjustment in particular, from a blonde woman on staff, cracked something in my mid-back, and from that point everything got worse. My breathing problems escalated to the point I nearly went to the ER. My appetite disappeared and my stomach felt like it was folding in on itself. I was constantly lightheaded from lack of oxygen to my brain, and I lost 20 pounds in a year -- weight I couldn't afford to lose, since I was already underweight. I finally found the right specialists -- a better chiropractor and an adhesion release therapist -- to start undoing the damage. But Ballas set me back about two years. On top of the physical harm, I also hated with how patronizing the staff was. They never took me seriously. Happy to finally share all of this, if not so people are simply aware, but hopefully to better the staff.
