Without question the best chiropractor I have ever had. I am in my early 70s, and Dr. Simmers has been able to rejuvenate and maintain my back and neck. No more pain! I had a bad headache for 2 months that would not go away. My sister and best friend finally talked me in to going to Dr. Simmer after my friend went one time and was relieved of headaches. I was in a lot of pain. So bad that I was wanting prescribed medicine to kill the pain. I suffered from headaches for over 20 years. Which lead me to self medicating them because doctors could not figure them out. I fell 16 foot flat on my back and started having the headaches. Worked its way to my back. Two years ago I was hit in the head with a piece of plywood. From there things got worse. My head hurt everyday, the pain started spreading down my neck, and into my back. A few days before I went the pain was so bad that is was going down my right arm. I was having problems sleeping well, vision was blurred, no energy, and my mood was a struggle. I went for the first visit and everyone there is very friendly. They took ex-rays and then I was shown how the fall over 20 years ago messed me up. I got an adjustment and it was instant relief. That night my vision was better, the pain in my arm was gone, and headache went away. I have been 4 times now and I feel like I have a new life. No headache, no arm pain, no neck pain, vision is better and I do not have to wear my reading glasses now, sleeping so good now that I do not want to get up in the mornings, and my mood is so much better (I do not hate the world anymore). I'd heard good things about this practice, so I made an appointment for today, Nov 9, 2020. Against a backdrop of an unprecedented 23% increase in COVID cases in the same county as this practice (Lincoln) and a 129% increase in new cases in the same zip code (28027), two (out of two) front staff were maskless, and over a 10 minute period, only one out of six patients in the waiting room or leaving the office was wearing a mask. Consider lying face down (and inhaling) on a table where other patients were breathing all day without a mask on, and being directly--and closely--cared for by someone also not wearing a mask. Simply changing the paper on an exam room table won't cut it for COVID with patients and staff exhaling all round the table and room.
