I had a different nail tech for my manicure and she was also very friendly! The manicure was done well and I am very happy with the results! I would absolutely recommend this nail salon to anyone! The price may be more than other places, but the service I think is worth it!

I had been working with this salon for months to maintain my length, gradually become blonde, and invested hundreds of dollars in hair products they recommended. I asked Anthony to repeat essentially the same haircut he had previously given me, using photos of his own work as a reference: keep my long square perimeter and soft, elongated layers, add some medium layers in the back, and take ONE inch off the overall length. He specifically asked me, "How important is length to you?" I said, "Very." He told me one inch was more than enough. Then he cut more than three inches off the back and upwards of five inches in the front. My long square perimeter is now rounded/oval, my soft ends are choppy and uneven, and some of the layering is cut in blunt straight lines rather than blending upward. My hair went from long to medium length in one appointment. It took me three years to grow my hair. It is now shorter than it was when I committed to growing it out. This was especially upsetting because Anthony had previously fixed another stylist's work at this same salon and given me one of the best cuts and colors I had ever had. That is why I trusted him to recreate his own work. The color was also inconsistent. There was no root smudge/blending like we discussed, and one side of my highlights is noticeably brighter than the other. It feels like I am back where I started before Anthony corrected the first stylist's work, except now I also lost several inches of hair. There were safety and professionalism issues too. Bleach got on my arms twice and on my face. While doing the foils around my face, foil was placed directly against my eye/face area while bleach was painted extremely close to my eyes without shielding them. I asked afterward why my hair had been cut so dramatically shorter than what we agreed to. I never received an explanation. I also had to fight for my refund. At one point I was already on my way to collect it when the owner reversed course after I mentioned conciliation court. I was then sent legal paperwork and initially offered only the haircut portion back. After going back and forth, they finally refunded the full $275 appointment. When I went in to collect it, the manager began telling me that the owner was dealing with her dying father. I am sorry she is going through that, but it had nothing to do with the fact that my hair had just been cut several inches shorter than I consented to. Hair grows back. I know that. But that does not mean a stylist gets to ignore an explicit agreement about how much hair can be removed. I asked for one inch. I said my length was extremely important. He agreed. Then he cut several inches off anyway. I loved my hair before this appointment. Now it is destroyed, and $275 does not come close to making that right. Anthony is inconsistent, and after my experiences with multiple stylists here, I would not trust this salon with my hair again. I've incldued a before and after. The before is from when I was trying to do passport photos days before Anthony cut my hair. It makes me so sad to look at, I felt beautiful. - my hair was my pride and joy. I enjoyed taking care of it and now it is gone. I've had nightmares where my hair was short and I'd wake up happy knowing I didn't cut it --and now this nightmare has come true. It is that important to me. The photos show the first stylist, how anothy fixed it (curly and straight,) and then how he chopped it off. You be the judge, does this look like one inch to you?

I would highly recommend that consideration for safety, and relaxation is considered by the business as clients are coming here to unwind and this would likely not feel safe for most women. If someone came into this business the room they put me in would be easily accessible or viewable. I just imagine with the location of this room that it would potentially be thought of as a bathroom. Maybe someone else's experience would be better but I would not return here as I need to not worry about my safety when going to get a massage.

She goes all out using her elbows, arms and partial body weight. Her massage was fully committed and I loved it. The tense pressure on my shoulder feels so much better now, allowing me to work and be productive in an office setting. This spa place is not fancy, but it is clean. I also love that they use unscented coconut oil to massage my body, leaving a beautiful glow and a layer of moisturizer on my skin. I think this type of deep tissue massage is not for everyone, but it certainly is what I look and crave for ... so I can't wait to visit again.

I just love Bespoke Hair Artisans. The salon is beautiful inside and it's in a great part of town. Right when I walked in I felt like I was at home. The staff is so welcoming and nice. Everyone has smiles and are upbeat, I can tell they all enjoy and love what they do. I started going to the salon because Haley Keopke has been doing my hair for years. There's nothing Haley can't do. Recently, I got a blow out and hair cut from Haley and I seriously felt like a celebrity afterwards. She's so talented. I've always felt really comfortable seeing her because she does a fabulous job, especially with coloring. I would seriously trust Haley to do whatever she wanted with my hair because I know she would make me look fabulous! I can tell she's dedicated to her clients, she really listens to what you want and also gives helpful tips and suggestion! Haley is upbeat, friendly, and outgoing. I truly enjoy going to her. I followed Haley to Bespoke Hair Artisans and the great thing is the salon is fabulous too! I would truly feel comfortable going to anyone at Bespoke. They're all so talented and friendly! I was in Minneapolis (uptown area) for almost 2 years moving from one hair salon to another until I found Bespoke. They cost more than average but I was tired of having colorists paint big solid overly-cooked stripes though my hair that didn't go all the way to my scalp. I also have difficult hair that grows forward and poofs out like crazy when it is humid that needs a tailored cut and no one out here could handle it other than the lady who cuts my hair at Bespoke. My husband's hair is just starting to thin and he likes to keep it short and you would think this would be easy to do but he has had his hair butchered again and again until he went to bespoke. The lady that cuts his hair only cuts men's hair. I don't know why it is so hard to find good stylists and colorists here in MN but if you want a professionally done hair style and color I recommend Bespoke. read more

I would recommend booking the PATYKA Facial w/Amanda ($115.00 for 1 hr). -No water used; only rose waters and toners -All Patyka products, including their exfoliating mask/cleansing oil -In between facial applications, hot towels and/or stones -In between facial applications, massage of neck/shoulders/arms/hands -Gentle steam/heated beds/soothing music & atmosphere. *Best facial ever, b/c it's a facial, non-invasive yet cleansing, and a massage -If you're a massage enthusiast like I am, then you would love this facial, b/c it incorporates a nice amount of upper body massage. Next time I will ask for more pressure point massage on my face while she has the steamer on it. During winter, especially, the steam + facial pressure points would be a great way to clear sinuses. read more

I had no idea what to do with my hair, she listened to my thoughts asked questions then showed me pictures of different styles on line. We discussed what I liked and she recommended styles that would go with my particular hair type. I was thrilled with my outcome and am so glad I found her. Today's salon experience reminded me that the BEST textured hair stylist in the Twin Cities is at this beautiful, comfortable, and professional salon! I've been going to Ebony for 13 years and have never been disappointed. Well worth every penny! I have thick, curly, natural hair that she cuts, colors, and sometimes straightens. She always listens and asks clarifying questions to ensure I get the results that I want and never puts too much chemical (color) or heat on it. She not only styles, but also helps you maintain healthy hair. I'm super picky and she is always patient. Steven is the ultimate miracle worker! I have curly, dark blonde hair that he transformed from frizzy, brittle and breaking to healthy and soft to the touch in under a year. I have moved around a lot and at one point was driving 6 hours one way just to see Steven because I do not trust anyone else to touch my hair after I started going to him. He is a Certified National Hair Colorist and the compliments never stop coming from my friends. He knows what he is doing, I trust him implicitly with my hair, and his energy is so positive that I look forward to seeing him for not only his skill but his company. Everyone should make this their salon. I've lived in the Minneapolis area for about a year and finally found a salon and stylist I will be sticking with. After having my hair color butchered at a previous salon (I had orange colored roots and the ends were a muddy green) Steven completely transformed it. He walked me through the whole process and made sure I was comfortable with it as well as giving me a heads up with the pricing. I was there right up until they closed and the whole time Steven was patient and didn't make me feel like he was rushing to get done. I went to Bespoke for the first time to see my two favorite stylists who moved their from Juut on Grand. Beth gave me an amazing cut as always, pretty long layers and the perfect bang trim which makes styling them in the morning easy as can be. Veronica gave me the shiny dark brown I was looking for just in time for fall, and I have to say I love their color, it's the first place I've gone where it doesn't fade out after a few weeks. I came into Bespoke Hair Artisans and (even for a 'frugal' man such as myself) paying a little more to be happy with my hair cut is a no-brainer. I am grateful to no longer be getting my hair cut using a coupon, and after wards always ending up praying for it to grow out fast enough to not look so freaking choppy. Sada has shown me the light, and my hair looks great from the time I leave, until I am ready to freshen it up. PLUS I do not have to cut my hair as often, due to the fact it now grows out much cleaner since getting my cut by the expert stylist Sada. Two thumbs up here. read more

After my old stylist moved to Hawaii, I bounced around for a while until I found Leanne. I've been to see her several times now and she really understands my hair and I always leave a happy customer. My favorite thing about LEANNE is that she knows that I don't love to get my hair done all the time (because I have the patience of a toddler). So when she highlights my hair, she does it so that when it grows out it looking natural instead of having an ugly line where the highlight stops and my real color starts. :) read more

I went in 7 months ago (!!) for a balyage and root shadow, blended naturally so I could grow it out and have a relatively low maintenance hair color... and I have NEVER had a color stay so PERFECT for so long! I asked for a wolf cut and to cut my bangs. She totally messed up my bangs and she knew they were uneven because she had cut one side of my bangs shorter and she invited me to come back so she can fix my bangs for free. I paid $55 bucks for the hair cut when really it was just a trim. She seemed like she didn't know how to touch my hair as I have shiny straight Asian black hair. So it feels that their ideal that they can do any type of hair is really false. Also she was super rough when she was washing my hair. I don't know if that's just how she does it or she intentionally was being rough. It was also super rough when she dried my ears because it felt like she really didn't care and it hurt. It was really uncomfortable when she would stand in front of me, and her body was touching my knees. I never had a hair dresser touch any part of my body, so it was quite a shock to me. What also threw me off is when I asked for a wolf cut and she had question of, "Do you style your hair like that?". I think it was a sign that she knew she couldn't do what I wanted. Lastly, if they know you aren't a good client. You really just default to whoever can take you. Because there was another hair dresser that came to Alexus and was asking her if she wanted this client, and she openly said, "No, I don't want to take her." Which I found really unprofessional. If I had tipped, I would've gave this rating a 1 star, but the cash tip I didn't give to Alexus is the extra star.

I went back to get a balayage with her but didn't have high expectations for the results. My hair has not taken color well in the past because my hair is so dark. Haven't had color in my hair in years but last time I tried highlights you could hardly see them. I told Sarah this and she listened and mixed up the product perfectly to get amazing color. Prices here are pretty middle of the road but the quality of the service has been top notch. I have paid more for worse results in the past so in terms of budget this place is a fantastic value.

It was absolutely delicious, made with high quality espresso. Monica Turner is my stylist and she is an incredibly talented professional. I've had my hair colored by her a number of times, and she is a true genius who can take my vague description and turn it into a stunning final product! I love being in Monica's chair and am so grateful to have finally found a hair person who just gets me. Street parking available around the salon and it's easy to make an appointment online. If you are looking for a salon who will pamper you, this is the place!

I am sad to write this review but figured it's good information to share with others…read more I read a lot of reviews and I made an appointment with "stylist A", about a month in advance. The day of the appointment I got a call from someone else (stylist B) saying that she was running 20 min behind and asked if I could come 20 min later than scheduled, I said sure and that's what I did. I get there and stylist B greets me, this is when I realized she isn't the person I booked with, based on the picture. She said "your haircut is now with Stylist C and pointed to another woman standing by the desk. I had no choice in the matter and was already very annoyed but the switch ups but didn't feel like I could say no, plus I needed a haircut. Let's just say I was less than thrilled with stylist C and the haircut I ended up with. Also very unhappy with how unprofessional stylist B was, she never mentioned she is taking over my appointment, and she called to change the appointment time and was still unavailable. I also want to mention that I emailed the salon sharing my disappointment and have not heard back at all.. no apology, explanation or anything. So if you have a preference for a stylist make sure they don't change things up on you! Very disappointing customer service.

It's particularly troubling that neither the owner nor anyone in authority has had the decency to address my negative experience directly. The baseless attacks on my character are unacceptable, and it's disheartening to see lies and opinions spread publicly without any attempt to understand my side of the story. I want to share my incredibly distressing experience at Lua Nova Salon. I walked in excited for a new hairstyle, having shown the stylist a picture of what I wanted--a long bob (LOB) with layers. However, from the very first cut, I sensed something was off. The stylist next to mine reacted with wide eyes, looking back and forth between my hair and the floor, which immediately raised my concerns. Unfortunately, my fears were confirmed as the stylist butchered my hair. Instead of the layers I requested, I left with a blunt cut short bob that was nothing like what I had envisioned. To make matters worse, I was asked to leave while still in shock and tears. My distress made the stylist uncomfortable--yes, MY tears over my butchered hair were making HER uncomfortable. I was asked to leave looking like this, which made the situation all the more horrifying. I can't believe I walked into a place where, within 15 minutes, all my hair was chopped off, and I was treated as if I were the issue. I felt dismissed and invalidated during a moment that was deeply personal to me. I cannot express how heartbroken I am over this experience. If I could give negative stars, I absolutely would. I strongly advise against sitting in Emma Carlson's chair, as my experience with her was nothing short of horrendous. Please be cautious if you decide to visit this salon. What was meant to be a fresh cut to help me take a step forward in overcoming my deep depression has only made things 20 times worse. I hope others have a better experience, but I certainly will not be returning. I will be surprised and blessed if I make it out of this one. This has truly been an absolute nightmare and one of the worst days of my life. The first picture is my hair before I walked in; the second is the picture I showed the stylist for reference. This is what I was kicked out looking like. I'm still crying over this at 9 PM and can't believe this happened. I balled up what hair is left and put it underneath a barbell cap, topped with a hooded sweatshirt. I can't even look in the mirror. My head is throbbing from how much crying I've done. I've never…read morehad my hair professionally cut before and decided now was the time and I am so glad I made that choice. I met with CJ and showed her a style that I really liked. She took her time to listen and offer ideas and then asked me some questions. The cut took about an hour but we chatted for a good couple of minutes and the shampoo treatment was about 5 minutes but to be in and out in an hours time seems pretty good to me. I also made an appointment, not sure if they take walk-ins but I'd call first. Anyway, CJ was amazing. After the cut, she gave my hair a blow out and it's never looked better. Because I live in a city that has harsh water, she gave me a few tips on which shampoos to purchase but she NEVER tried to sell me shampoo or any products from the salon, she simply gave me suggestions and tips so I could make my own decision and purchases. I will absolutely visit again when I need my hair cut again. The price, which I paid $60 with a 15% tip, is totally worth it. I thought $20 for a cut was fine (why bother about your hair, you know?) but I'll never go back to that. This is worth it, I promise.
