I told her exactly what I wanted (which included getting rid of my part - something I've asked multiple stylists to do, but Leanne was the first to actually do it and do it well, she did!) I truly came out with a perfect haircut and it also helps that talking to Leanne is like talking to someone you've known your whole life. The salon also had a wonderful atmosphere. It was chic but not snobby, and cool without being overtly hipster. Also who doesn't want to lie down while having their hair washed? I almost fell asleep I was so relaxed. Would I go again? I was skeptical about Bespoke. It's a luxury salon, primarily handling trendy women, in upper-crust downtown Edina. I'm a short, old man with a few strands of hair on my head and a scraggly beard who last glimpsed trendy 15 years ago. However, my stylist, Leanne, was down-to-earth, accepting, and understood exactly what I wanted. She dyed my hairs a perfect, natural color, which looked nothing like shoe polish. My haircut made my few strands look fuller. After Leanne trimmed my beard, I looked in the mirror and saw a man ten years younger than I am. I had a spring in my step and felt great. Leanne's technique was as good as any hair stylist I've seen in NYC, Sydney, Tokyo, or Seattle. Prices at Bespoke were very fair. When I lived in Minneapolis, I would come here all the time because of the cute decor, friendly staff, and my longtime hair stylist was a new employee (she's now at a different salon). I was recently in town visiting and made a last minute appointment with Mia. I really wanted to like her, but she pulled on my hair so hard my scalp was tender for 2 days after and she blew it dry with her fingers instead of a roll brush. My last haircut was a bit of a mess - this curly girl ended up looking like Dustin from Stranger Things; absolutely NOT what I was going for. And my hair color was like a reverse bayalage. I was visiting Minneapolis and looking for a good place to get a haircut. I had passed by the storefront on previous visits, liked the ambiance and name, and thought there would be a good chance that they hired top stylists to match. I was correct. They first accommodated me for a walk in and had me wait in a beautiful section of the salon that doubled as an interior design boutique. They also served me good, strong coffee made from really fresh beans. Then they paired me with Linee. She was good to talk to and had excellent suggestions for my hair. She also gave me a great scalp massage. In the end, I got one of the best cuts and styles I've ever had. I didn't even have to wait until my hair was blow dried to notice. It was clear while my hair was still wet just how beautiful the cut was. When I go to the salon, I expect a top quality cut and an atmosphere that guarantees that I will be pampered. I got both. She works great with blonde and darker colors and gave me one of my favorite shorter mid length cuts I have ever had. Being in the military there are a ton of guidelines as to color, length, etc and if it does not fall within these guidelines its considered "faddish". Today was my first time at this salon, and Vanessa cut my hair. I should say I've usually gone to Jon English for a $35 walk in, because I have caviar taste for my hair and a tuna budget...but they (JE) have stopped performing hair services on Mondays, which is my day off each week. I was desperate for a good haircut, as my sassy layered cut had grown in and was dragging me down. I found Bespoke on the web, and having driven past it many times, gave them a call. I was so happy to find that someone was available same day, and I went in. The environment is spacious, calming, and lovely. The waiting area is lovely and beautifully appointed. I got a chuckle out of the "magazines," as they were more artsy coffee table books from Italy featuring a lot of angry, topless people--but I'm stressing chuckle here. They suited the environment. I've never had my hair washed on a reclined bed before rather than a chair, and I LOVED it--no pain in my old, cranky neck from having it tilted back at an angle! When it comes to a haircut that relies upon layers, you need someone who knows how to cut them. The right answer is not to give someone a regular haircut and then go through it all with thinning shears like your mother did on the porch with a twin sheet clothes-pinned around your neck--it's a complex, subtle thing. Vanessa is a talent and a pleasure! She gave me a MOST EXCELLENT haircut and exuded confidence and a clear vision of what we were doing throughout. Talent is very important when your hair is something you splurge on, and she has it. When I got home, I sent my 19 year old daughter a picture of my new haircut, and she responded, "you're so cute it hurts." I think that's a stamp of approval. I should point out that when I looked on the website, it says haircuts are "$50+." It was such a nice environment that I would have felt silly asking in advance how much my cut would be, but I discovered upon checkout that Vanessa is a $70 cut. While that's a semi-pricey haircut, I handed over my card without hesitation and will not be going to anyone else. That's my stamp of approval. xxx read more

I have gone here three times to get the Cezanne smoothing treatment done on my hair and I am always sooo happy with the results! I have super thick, course, wavy hair and this treatment cuts my blow dry/straightening time and leaves my hair smooth and much more manageable for like 4-5 months! The best part is that this treatment is chemical free and so I don't have to worry about exposing myself or my family to weird chemicals. Steven is the absolute BEST! I highly recommend him for this.
