I traveled 2 1/2 hours to look at a used truck I had been searching for. After looking it over and test driving it, we discussed price, and I was able to get the deal I was looking for. Not wanting to go for a loan before making sure I wanted the vehicle, I needed to return a few days later to finish up the paperwork. Beshore and Koller held the truck for me during this time. When I was able to make the return trip to sign the papers, knowing I had to travel a distance, they were willing to stay late if necessary to accommodate my schedule. When I got there, the truck was washed, gassed up, and ready to go. we got right to the paperwork, and they had me back on the road home within half an hour. I wish there was a way I could give them NEGATIVE STARS. My wife and I purchased a truck from her parents and were told that there was an open recall on the gas tank straps. We also knew that the bolts that connect the driver's side exhaust manifold to the downpipe (Y-pipe) we broken off and the flange was being held together with hose clamps (but there was no exhaust leak). I took the truck down to Beshore and Koller because they said they would do the recall work for the gas tank straps. I figured that, since they're already going to have it up on their lift, I might as well have them drill out the busted flange bolts and replace them (shouldn't be too difficult I thought). I dropped the truck off on a Tuesday and told the guy at the service counter that if the flange repair was going to cost more than $200, stop and take the truck off of the lift because I was going to go a different route (meaning whichever route took me to another mechanic since it should be difficult or take long to drill out what was left of those bolts). I informed the guy that, when the work was done, he was to call my wife so she could come down and sign the papers and get the keys because I was going to be out of cell phone range until Thursday evening (hunting trip). I reminded him again that if it was going to cost more than $200, just stop and get the truck off the lift. Imagine my shock when I get a phone call from my wife on Thursday telling me that they called her Wednesday and told her that they HAD to take the entire exhaust off (including the manifolds) to repair this and that we HAD to have it done because the manifolds were rusted thin and the bolts were about to break from the corrosion. They pressured her into authorizing the work, which they said would cost $800 or more, depending on how much trouble they had with the manifold bolts. Of course, I was not happy to say the least, and immediately called them to find out why they took advantage of the fact that they knew I couldn't be reached for those 2 days and convinced my wife to have this work done, knowing she wouldn't be able to get ahold of me to double check. The tried to play the "she authorized the work" card, which I didn't want to hear. The truck was still up on the lift, and they were still working on getting the manifolds off. I had them put everything back together, and that's when they told me that they had to cut the EGR pipe because the nut was rusted and they couldn't get it off any other way. So now I HAVE to remove the manifolds because now the EGR pipe HAS to be replaced because THEY cut it. They stripped two of the bolts trying to remove them, and now I'm going to have to have them drilled out because they wouldn't budge. The other bolts were fine, no corrosion on the threads at all, and the manifolds were fine also. Had they NOT cut the EGR pipe, or even simply followed my instructions from the beginning, I could have easily just replaced the two flange bolts and everything would have been fine. Instead I'm probably going to be out over $1000 now because of all of the repairs needed due to their unprofessional behavior. I wouldn't let these guys touch any vehicle that I own. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY. read more

I found a coupon to have our car inspected there for 9.99 plus a 2.00 sticker charge. I called the service department to confirm that it would be 9.99 for our inspection and the person on the other end said that it would be. I responded that I was thrilled to have found such a good deal and he agreed. It was quite troublesome to shift cars around between my husband and I, but we made it work so we could take advantage of the offer during normal business hours. When the car was finished (HOURS later) I was told it would be 50.00. In my shock I asked why, and she said that the 9.99 was only for the state inspection and I needed to have the emissions inspection done also. She asked if I was new to PA, which I am not, and acted like it was my fault for not knowing. He could have mentioned that that did not cover the entire inspection with the original phone call. I am beyond disappointed in them and will certainly deter any friends or associates from going there. I feel they were very sneaky and dishonest. read more
