When I expressed concerns about the final result, I was told everything "would settle" instead of a reassessment. After my braces came off, I was only seen by assistants, not the orthodontist. When I mentioned that something felt off and that my teeth seemed to be shifting, my concerns were dismissed rather than properly addressed. The retainers provided are extremely thin and fragile. They crack very easily, and I've had to return multiple times for replacements. Each replacement costs $20, and turnaround time for an appointment isn't always quick. Given how flimsy the retainers are, they don't provide the level of stability you would expect or need after orthodontic treatment, even with consistent wear. I asked to purchase a backup pair since they break so often, but I was told that wasn't allowed. When I raised concerns about relapse, instead of offering a small correction, I was encouraged to start full braces again, the most expensive option. There was no discussion of minor or conservative adjustments. Two years later after braces, my teeth have shifted significantly. In my experience, the retention plan and aftercare did not prioritize long-term stability. Retention is critical after braces. Once the active treatment was completed and paid for, the long-term follow-through was not a priority. I am now having to pay out-of-pocket elsewhere to correct shifting that a stronger retention plan could have prevented. If you choose this office, ask detailed questions about their retention protocol and long-term follow-up before committing. I would recommend choosing a provider who takes that phase seriously.

I never thought that at this age I'd be getting braces, let alone go through jaw surgery, but here I am smiling from cheek to cheek. Dr. Nalchajian and her entire office staff at the Fresno location welcomed me as family since the moment I arrived. From scheduling to making sure they were flexible with what location I could be seen at, the girls in the front are kind, funny, and extremely helpful, which is so wonderful. Dr. Nalchajian is bilingual and I love talking her in Spanish. I am unable to put into words how much information she has provided me with and even when she was busy moving her child into college, she still sent me a message when I had a question. Every interaction I've had has been heartwarming and leaves me with a happy feeling as I walk out the door, except when I had my braces tightened for the first time, LOL. Ouch! Pain wasn't as bad and went away after a couple of hours. Due to my jaw surgery, my mouth is extremely sensitive, but they were very precise and thoughtful in adapting to applying my bands and tightening for the first time. As you can see in the pictures, the gap has appeared and I have an expander in. Hopefully in a few months the expander will be removed and I'll keep you updated on my journey. First and foremost, if you're considering braces it comes by no surprise, it's not "cheap" (so keep that in mind..) In my opinion, achieving that perfect smile you desire is in itself an investment and well worth it to me. I can honestly say I've been impressed with my initial experience with Dr.Lowes office thus far! After scheduling your initial appointment you'll shortly receive an email which allows you to sign your initial paperwork/ provide insurance info electronically which saves time, and eliminates you walking in and being greeted with a clipboard stack of papers to fill out. Upon arriving an my consultation I was greeted by the friendly front staff, checked in and called within minutes. I met with my treatment coordinator Adriana, we went over what I was trying in achieve in my smile, took a scan of my teeth and within minutes on screen was able to see a virtual before and after which is great! Adriana was very thorough explaining differences between traditional braces and Invisalign, she was very friendly and didn't make me feel rushed at all. I then shortly met with Dr. Lowe who reviewed the scans and explained the best treatment plan for me. He was extremely thorough and informative when answering my questions. He even pointed out things I quite frankly, wasn't aware of in my smile/bite. I left the appointment feeling confident knowing I'd be making an informed decision if I proceeded with treatment. Below I've outlined a few key things I take notice of when going into any providers office for the first time. - Office Cleanliness: The office is in a nice part of Fresno. The office is very clean, and nicely decorated. The waiting area in the front has a Keurig and waters which is nice. - Wait Time: Both of the times I've been in the office so far I've arrived about 10 minutes early. Both of those times I was called before my scheduled appointment time which you don't come across often. - Office Staff: All of the office staff I've interacted with have been extremely friendly and seem to really genuinely enjoy their job. I will say the consult I had prior to Dr.Lowes speaks to this. The Doctor I had met with was great however, I had a very unpleasant experience with his office staff which completely left a bad taste in my mouth when I had even thought of considering moving forward with treatment at that office. So thank you Dr.Lowe for employing an all around great staff which have amazing customer service. It makes all the difference... - Quality of Care: Most importantly...Quality of Care? One thing that immediately stood out to me was how meticulous Dr.Lowe was/is during the consultation. For example: He took the time to point out something in one of my X-rays that stood out to him and discuss that with me in detail, which other dental appointments I've been to hadn't been addressed.
