Have known Dr.Dempsey for years.She did orthodontic work on both of my boys who are now grown and had several issues.She is amazing and the work she has done for both of my boys was remarkable.She is always very attentive and wonderful with her patients and their parents.She has a larger staff and I'm sure it changes from time to time but as for her and the quality of care she provides she is wonderful at what she does! read more

I tried to find some positives within this place and it's a struggle every time. I've had my work done here and it was ok but now that a relative of mine is going it's gone downhill. My daughter was referred here for a consultation. We had a few recommendations to this place. When I first called to make an appointment, the woman I spoke to wasn't very friendly. She asked that I provided all my insurance information and social security number. I told her I didn't have it on me. She said I can just call back or fill out a form online to provide the information or call my dentist and have them forward my information to themS I thought it was weird since it was a free consultation. I told my dentist's office and they said that's weird that they wanted my dentist office to forward information to them. The other two places did not ask for personal information like that but I figured I will probably proceeded in having my daughter get service here since I got recommendations from people I trust. When I filled out the form, it was glitchy and it would not allow me to submit the form online. I thought maybe because I filled out by phone that it was messing up. I logged on to a laptop and it did the same thing, would not allow me to submit. So I used a desktop computer, again it did not allow me to submit any information. I called their office and they told me I can come 10-15 mins early on my daughter's appointment day and fill out the paperwork. They told me when I get there to text the number they provided to let them know I have arrived so they can check me in. My daughter's appointment was at 1:30pm. I got there around 1:10pm. I sent a text to the number that was provided to let them know I was there's. 5 minutes later, I get a text and it says they are out to lunch and are not open until 1:30. I text back and said they told me to come early to fill out paperwork. They said I needed to wait. So we waited and we started seeing people line up around 1:25. We ended getting out of the car to wait as well since I didn't want to miss the appointment. We got checked in at 1:40. They give me the paperwork to fill out. They separate my daughter and I in the waiting room. She has to sit across the room from me. I was sitting closer to a stranger than my daughter. They sent me a text at 1:45 saying they are open now and I can come check in. After I filled out the paperwork, they call my daughter but then said never mind they meant another patient's name. (They did not have the same names or even close) Then they told that patient ooops we didn't mean to call you. About 5 minutes later, they call my daughter's name again. I go to the front counter to give them the paperwork and they said they don't need it. I asked why did I fill it out?? They said it's just a consultation. Then I told them that I checked in with Yelp and showed her my check in for the free lip balm. She tells me I don't know what that is. She asks her coworker, the coworker said oh we aren't giving any away. We haven't for over a year. We go to the back and get seated. A girl confirms our names and gets our referral slip. She said she didn't even know who I have for my dentist. She asked how I got the form. I laughed and said the dentist gave it to me to be referred to your office. The doctor walks in greets us and proceeds to check my daughter's mouth. She explains what's going on with her mouth/teeth and what to expect if we received service from them. She told me my daughter would be on a Phase II because of her age and that her mouth wasn't that bad. She explained to me the amount to pay. I asked her about the options for payment plans. She proceeded to tell me then told me she's switching my daughter to a Phase I then she will go to Phase II. I was a bit confused so she explained to me the Phase I and Phase II. It just sounded like she just wanted to charge more so I can do both phases. It just sounded weird to me... my daughter started tearing up. She wanted to use the restroom. I went with her and my daughter told me she didn't feel comfortable there. I told her ok, we will leave and not come back. We ended up just taking the quote they gave us and left. Doctor seemed nice but I didn't like how she changed her mind about the Phases my daughter would be on when I asked about the payment plan. Also, the staff were so unorganized!!! I definitely do not recommend coming here and we will not get service done here. So disappointed. read more

I been going there for little over 3 years I was referred by my cousin who also got his treatment done here. All I can say is that they're amazing can't even describe how happy I am with the results of the treatment. Me and my brother are so happy with their service. Every time I needed to change my appointment time or date the front desk would always help me out and work around my schedule, my brother couple times broke a bracket during the week texted them thru the phone number they had and helped me out with the issue until I was able to take him in. I just got my braces off this month and I'm more than happy with my smile Dr. Dempsey went above and beyond to get me a beautiful smile and she is doing the same with my brother love this place amazing!!!!! read more

I had an appointment on 4/27/21. Upon my arrival, there was a line out of the door as the receptionist took patient temperatures and conducted patient check-ins. When it was my turn to be checked in, I wasn't greeted. I had a thermometer pointed in my face by the receptionist with glasses and very loudly was told, "um, there was a problem on your account with your payment. Please step out of line, and someone will help you." Pretty annoyed that my personal business was unprofessionally expressed to the entire lobby with about 8 to 9 patients, I stepped to the side as requested. I was expecting to speak with Diana, who is fantastic! Sadly, she was out that day, so I was told to wait for the heavier set receptionist. The heavyset receptionist was over-explaining useless information to a patient. The same receptionist who checked me in decided she'd attempt to help me instead. I walked over to her window, where she again loudly told me, "we called you on the 19th, and it said your phone wasn't in service, was your phone shut off that day?" I was utterly mortified; I informed her that my phone and the number were brand new and have NEVER BEEN SHUT OFF! In addition, I had received my appointment reminder sent via text message the day before my visit, so everything she was saying was false! How dare she assume something like that. Maybe it's a regular occurrence for her phone to be shut off, but I run a business, so I don't allow my phone to be shut off. She proceeds in more attempts to insult me publicly. She continued to say out loud the message that played when she called the wrong number. I insisted nothing had taken place with my phone to the point that I wouldn't receive calls or messages. At this point, the entire lobby was staring at me. She then, out loud in a deeming manner, stated, "your April payment didn't go through, do you know why?" I let her know it was due to a change in my pay dates, and it was just a random situation, and it shouldn't happen again. Ultimately over her antics, I asked her if Dr. Dempsey was in the office to speak to her. She replied with an eye roll, "she's not back from lunch" after requesting to speak to someone other than her, she went to the back and retrieved who I'm assuming was the office manager or billing coordinator. I asked to speak in a private room about my account to no longer have to discuss it in the lobby with everyone paying attention and watching. This person acted as if I was speaking a foreign language. I had to ask a total of 5 times! Not sure if there's a language barrier for this employee, but it was ridiculous. In private, I expressed my upset at the ridiculous front desk staff. I continued my appointment. About 15 minutes before the appointment ending the office manager or billing coordinator came up to me and quietly let me know what I needed to do to make my April payment. She also let me know she fixed my account and my ACH should resume in May. When it was time for me to make my next appointment, I stopped at the front desk to get my appointment card. The heavyset receptionist, not sure what her name is. She attempted to embarrass me again by discussing the terms of my account out in the lobby in front of everyone once again after I had just reported her coworker for the same unprofessional mannerisms. She started the statement with "I'm not sure if she told you," referencing the billing manager or the office manager; I cut her off, letting her know she told me everything to avoid getting upset again and embarrassed. The receptionist looked up and said, "yeah, but did she tell you...." I looked at her again, and I said she told me everything. Annoyed, the heavyset receptionist looked at me, rolled her eyes, and stated while shaking her head with a terrible attitude, "well, I guess I'll just make your appointment." I said thank you, she rolled her eyes again, wrote my appointment down on the card, and I walked out. No goodbye, no thank you, and no one ever apologized for the embarrassment and the inconvenience that took place within the office. My braces come off in June I can't wait! Once I'm out of this office, I will never return. I planned on taking my daughter to get her braces done at this location. I will not be taking her. I will not be referring anybody; I STRONGLY SUGGEST anybody looking for an orthodontist. Please, please, please check out another orthodontist. read more

If I could rate Dr. Dempsey alone, this rating would be 10 stars; however, the front office staff makes that rating impossible. I'm usually not one to leave reviews but the customer service skills of the front office staff are absolutely ridiculous! I've had a few instances of poor customer service and have let it slide but this time took the cake! My 17 year old son was taken to the office by his elderly grandma and they unfortunately forgot to bring his mask. He went into the office and was instructed to go back to the car to look for a mask. Thankfully, my mom had a used mask for him use in the car (I'm not even going to go into how horrible it was for them to feel pressured to use a mask that had been already worn by someone else). They proceeded into the office and low and behold shortly after a young man the same age as my son came in without a mask and was offered a mask by the front desk. The only difference between these two was ethnicity! I called to complain to the office manager and I was fed lies about how the young man's appointment was right at that time and having him look for a mask would have resulted in him delaying other patients. However, my son was the one with an 11 am appointment and was taken back almost immediately while the other young man sat for 10 minutes in the waiting room. To make matters worse, the office manager told me, they normally charge a dollar for masks and everyone is asked to look in their car. So, you mean to tell me most patients likely pay at least a few grand for braces and a complimentary mask can't be provided to a minor?! How presumptuous to assume a minor or anyone for that matter would have a mask lying around in their car. We wear masks with no problem but from time to time mistakes happen! Every medical facility I've ever been to have offered people masks with no charge and have them readily available for their patients, if needed. This isn't a habit, this was an isolated incident. If we hadn't invested so much money into treatment already, I would gladly take our business elsewhere. Again, Dr. Dempsey is amazing and I would have never left this review if the office staff could have been honest about what really happened instead of making excuses! I took my daughter here for braces. The office staff is helpful and efficient. They told me exactly what our insurance would cover and what we'd need to pay out of pocket. So we weren't left wondering. As for Dr. Dempsey, she is great. She is laid back and funny, and she seems like a mama bear over there. Everyone who worked on my daughter's teeth was kind and gentle. Now my daughter's teeth are nice and straight now. Yay! read more

This office has the worst staff ever. The office manager Belen is an idiot and so unhelpful. I have no idea how she was put in charge of managing an office. Worst orthodontist ever, don't waste your time or money here! If I could give them a zero star review I would. They did my braces, and I am extremely unsatisfied with how my teeth turned out. All of the staff is very rude and give you attitude for everything. It takes the doctor twice as long to finish your braces as she quotes, they drag their feet through the whole process until you're completely paid off, and then they rush you out and remove your braces before you're satisfied. I could go on forever about how terrible the staff is at Dempsey. Unfortunately I will have to go to another orthodontist to get my teeth fixed properly. read more

I brought my son in for a consultation for braces last week. The staff was friendly but a little overwhelmed (they were short staffed). Very welcoming waiting room, it was decorated for Halloween and they also had a decorated pumpkin contest going on. My kids enjoyed voting for their favourite one. The doctor explained everything throughly and answered all our questions. But the best part was she gave us an exact dollar figure for my son's treatment which most doctors do not. She told us what was included, timeline, and gave us a payment plan option as well. This was really important to us because other places give you a ball park figure but we do not have orthodontic insurance so we I know exactly what to expect. Dr and the ladies in the back are great. MaryAnn, one of the gal in the back, is great at what she does. You won't feel anything at all when she works on your braces. Love when she works on my braces. She does a very great job! But one of the girl in the front is extremely rude and unprofessional! She should know who she is. I called to go in to have my wire put back in place. And she had the audacity to tell me "If I make you an appointment, are you going to make a payment?" Regardless if I'm able to make a payment or not at the time, I am still going to be a priority no matter what! I can't believe she would talk to me like I am not. I have miss a few payments but when I go in for my appointment, I always make that payment for the months that I miss or couldn't go in to do so. I am appalled and disgusted by her childish communication and behavior. I have never heard of anyone speaks & demands payment in that type of manner to their patients and work in a Dr's office at all. This isn't the only time she's been rude to me. It's unfortunate that she works in this friendly place with a friendly doctor and her staffs. She can definitely use some professionalism 101 and communication classes.
