Went with Adams County School District for a field trip with a bunch of pre schoolers, and this is a definitely a place to go also for educational purposes as well (besides family activities). They had a small educational discussion about bees and how they make honey and their purpose in the animal kingdom as well jewelry making too! They were able to pick their own pumpkins out after going on a hay ride to another location to get them (and yes, they had fun as well). I would definitely recommend this to any school for the little ones. Definitely a lot of hands on actives and a great way to teach them about how certain things work/grow.

I just had the best day ever. Right when we walked onto the farm I could tell we were in for a treat. A gigantic pig greeted us, as well as roosters with funny feathers on their feet. We walked up to a stand at the back of the market got a flat of empty pint cartons and we were off on our berry picking adventure! They advised us that strawberry picking might be a little slim today and we could only pick 3 quarts of them. We overflowed 3 quarts easily with beautiful, shiny, red strawberries. If today was picked over, I can't imagine what it's like when strawberries are plentiful. There were some spiky weeds every once in awhile so be aware of those, otherwise you might end up with a palmful of thorns. We then moved onto the raspberries, which I thought were significantly harder to pick. Once in awhile I would find a jackpot of 5 or 6 berries on the same branch and I would get really excited. There were a lot more bees in the raspberries than the strawberries, but the bees are really mellow and don't harass you like the ferocious city bees we have in Denver. If you are scared of grasshoppers, I would strongly advise not picking raspberries, they are EVERYWHERE. I, on the other hand, just flicked them off and kept picking. Strawberries- $5 per pound Raspberries- $6 per pound We spend around $30 for a whole flat of berries (see picture) and some basil. We will definitely be coming back at least once a year, I am in love, and I want to be a farmer.

Claudia was so friendly, chatted with us for a good 10 minutes like we'd known one another for years.

Our friends recommended Lulu's Farm, especially their tamales, so we had to check it out! We bought…read morethe red pork tamales, and while they were definitely good--spicy and packed with meat--I found the masa to be a bit less silky than I prefer. I also grabbed a jar of their homemade Hatch hot salsa, and I loved that it's made with simple ingredients: peppers, tomatoes, garlic, and spices, without any citric acid. I finished the jar in just two days! We couldn't resist picking up a bushel of roasted Big Jim's green chiles with garlic heads, which are perfect for making chile rellenos. And let's not forget the Hatch green chile bacon sausage brat--absolutely amazing and highly recommended! Overall, our shopping experience was pleasant. The outdoor eating area was nice, and the staff and management were friendly. There's a great variety of items available, from lawn statues to an impressive selection of prepared foods, preserves, frozen items, and fresh produce. I'll definitely be back to try more!

I found the blistered skin came off easy enough but each chili had no meat on them. I was shocked. These are supposed to be my stash and not only did the chili's NOT have any meat on them but they had no heat nor flavor. I made a simple bean burrito loaded down with chili and onion and the chili seemed no existent. I took 2 tablespoons and ate it and again, no flavor. It was like eating wax. So what happened? I don't think the chilis came from New Mexico, I thing LuLu's collected the seeds and and grew them in Colorado soil under Colorado sun..I'm very disappointed, disappointed in deed.

Best pumpkin patch in Colorado! We had the best time and will be back! I recommend buying tickets…read morein advance online because you get in faster! What is great is you can use the tickets for any day the whole season so you don't have to pick a day to go and worry about needing to change the day! Super convenient and the price is good! We paid for the basic entry ticket and nothing extra and it was worth it! So much is included you don't need to worry about not being able to do anything! We were there for 4hrs and didn't even do all the things we could have. We ate lunch there, the food was expensive but that's common nowadays. I got the pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious! So don't worry about not liking the food, it's well prepared and tons of options. We also got a coffee and it tasted good too! They really have it all! My favorite part was the mutin-busting, they made it so fun! The corn maze was a close second, it's not too hard and fun! This place is super kid friendly and the price is worth all the fun you get to enjoy! Also they out wood chips on the ground everywhere so you don't need to worry about mud! We will be back!

The pumpkin patch itself is not nearly as big or cool as some of the others, and the corn maze was only about waist high, but the overall experience Was way more enjoyable here. You can find them in many Denver metro Farmer's Markets as well. Check out their website for more info & locations. I discovered them one Sunday at the Central Park (Founder's Green) Farmer's Market - 29th & Roslyn (8:30AM -12:30PM). At Founder's Green look for the yellow tents & big white truck every week, rain or shine thru about mid-October. I was told they've been at that same spot for 20 years. The produce looks like it could appear on a Food Magazine cover! It's beautiful. Everything is bigger, brighter & better than what you'd find in the grocery aisles. Over the weeks I've tried many of the veggies & fruits, sometimes they have yummy samples. The two owners ( I think they are the owners), are there each week - one helps customers with the produce & the other weighs & takes payment. They're friendly & super helpful. They've given tips on microwaving corn on the cob & offering to cut off the very long tops of carrots. Speaking of corn....if you're a corn lover their Peaches & Cream Corn on the Cob is definitely worth getting, so fresh & sweet. Palizzi Farms Produce is the best!
