Pigs, sheep, goats, and horses alongside old farm buildings
    Stephen P.

This farm is an agricultural lease on Boulder County Open Space, and upon opening last year, quickly become my favorite business in Louisville. It's extremely popular in pumpkin patch season but is open year round. While they offer a small assortment of in-season veggies, the things to buy here are eggs and meat (beef, pork, lamb). Considering you see these animals on the property having happy cage-free lives, the prices are great -- comparable to what you'd pay for conventional meat at a major grocery store. The rustic buildings add to the ambiance. My toddler loves watching the pigs eat & roll around in the mud and the regular appearances of baby animals.

What is great is you can use the tickets for any day the whole season so you don't have to pick a day to go and worry about needing to change the day! Super convenient and the price is good! We paid for the basic entry ticket and nothing extra and it was worth it! So much is included you don't need to worry about not being able to do anything! We were there for 4hrs and didn't even do all the things we could have. We ate lunch there, the food was expensive but that's common nowadays. I got the pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious! So don't worry about not liking the food, it's well prepared and tons of options. We also got a coffee and it tasted good too! They really have it all! My favorite part was the mutin-busting, they made it so fun! The corn maze was a close second, it's not too hard and fun! This place is super kid friendly and the price is worth all the fun you get to enjoy! Also they out wood chips on the ground everywhere so you don't need to worry about mud! We will be back!

We had a great time on the hayride, collecting both blackberries and raspberries, seeing the chickens, lots of honey bees, and sheep, hanging out with a sweet farm dog, etc. It was well worth the drive and a very relaxing experience for all of us.

You may even get to see the farm doggo if you're lucky! If you are like me and enjoy finding unique fruits and veggies that you don't see in any grocery store or even at your summer farmer's markets, this is the place for you! The drive is a quick one from Denver and once you are there on the farm, you kind of forget where you are! The store will take you back in time with it's simple set up with vintage coolers that store all of those beautiful veggies, and old tables stacked with baskets filled with even more veggies and fruits. There are heirloom options and the choices vary throughout the season as new things come in. On one of my visits this past summer, I picked up a huge bunch of home-grown Edamame that was far better than anything I have gotten anywhere else. It was actually quite fun to remove them from the stems to wash and cook up. I also was able to find beautiful Italian green beans - my absolute favorite and never-able-to-find option. The tomatoes are always a go-to and are so flavorful. I found out how the heirloom options are grown in the greenhouse and how that has provided the sweetest results and can confirm, they are very sweet and delicious. Along with the veggies and fruits, you will also find some locally made goodies sold in a brown paper bag that are a great treat to take for the ride home. Also, don't miss the dried pepper selection! There is also a cooler/freezer with meats and fresh eggs. When I was there, it was golden raspberry picking time and there were many families out for the tractor ride to the bushes to pick their own. Be sure to check out their website for hours - the opening is limited and you want to avoid making a trip unnecessarily and you can find out about special events, picking times for the fruits, cakes, and flowers and CSA share options. Claudia and Tim operate a farm that is certified organic and you can be sure their offerings are truly fresh, truly local, and truly organic as their motto says.

For my husband's birthday last weekend, I booked us each a 55 minute api-therapy appointment. We were in our individual huts and the experience was amazing!! Being beekeepers ourselves, we have a great love for bees and completely understand their importance and benefits that they bring to the world. The huts are very cozy and you're provided clean towels if you choose to rest your head on a pillow. While this seems the best way to lay in the hut, you really cannot hear the bees. They provide a face cradle so you can lay on your stomach and that worked so much better. I put my nose between the cedar planks so that I could inhale so much more of the hive air and I cannot tell you how much I absolutely love the smell of wood combined with the scent of honey and honeycomb! Don't worry, the bees cannot get to you as there is a wire mesh to keep them separate from you. Since there is a sliver of light coming through the hive side, you can watch the bees working. The huts themselves are bright and full of light. I fell asleep probably within 5 minutes after I adjusted myself and slept for about 40 minutes. To me, the collective of bees sounded like rushing water once you listen past the single, higher pitched buzzes. We both felt completely relaxed and refreshed afterward. I suggest everyone to give api-therapy a try!!

I gave myself lots of time. It was super hot in the sun - bring a hat with a big visor!! At this time of year this year the corn was all pretty dried out - very fall feeling. I went on a weekend day - a Saturday - so yah there were plenty of families and such. I just randomly wandered the corn maze running into the occasional child or parent but or teen group, but I found it very nice to just wander until I got out! It took about an hour. No stress and it actually felt positive that there were lots of other people in the maze at the same time. Less scary. They had a mini corn maze and a "crazy" corn maze so I chose the crazy one since I was trying to be brave. If you feel less brave, try the mini one! Next year I might try their night time corn maze! I love how they curated the pumpkin area! Pumpkins galore everywhere and organized by their gorgeous colors. So pretty and seriously so many like WOW! It was visually really nice. Lots of great creative photo op areas were nicely set up. Lots of kid activities of course. If you're a lone adult like me you're probably gonna do - corn maze, food truck, shopping. I like that they partnered with Palomar Farms to have some farmers market goodies. I did seem some unique jarred delights. I walked away with FROG jam and rhubarb jam! Next year I will try to go earlier in the season when the corn maze is maybe still a little bit green to see what that's like. I liked their modern branding and curated vibe. The corn maze staff was also super friendly and understood my anxiety. I also loved that the activities were a la carte. I paid for the corn maze which was under $20 and my jarred market delights which were $8.99 each. Parking was free. Okay I'm stating that cause I'm from LA. It's still a relief when parking is free here!
