This station is a great example of why Yelpers should review gas stations…read more First, I will begin with the reason you will likely find yourself here. This station is the last place to stop for fuel before The Causeway Bridge. All of my stops have been out of necessity when I realized my fuel light was on while sitting at the light on Causeway Blvd. Because it is the last stop for gas, it gets insanely crowded. If you are heading north and don't need fuel, stay out of the right lane. There will likely be stopped traffic as people enter and exit this station. The location may be convenient, but the pumps are not. There are only two rows of pumps and entering and exiting the pumps is difficult. If you happen to be on the row nearest the convenience store you will spend your time pumping cringing as other drivers nearly strike your car. The other thing I don't like about this station are their prices. I guess convenience comes at a cost as their prices are always much higher than the other stations in the area. There is one other redeeming quality about this station and that is their sign. Apparently the owners are big Saints fans and post motivational messages for the team on their sign during football season. They change depending on opponent, but they are always witty and comical. I suggest you get your fuel elsewhere, but if you're about to run out, now you know what to expect.

I wholehearted agree with John, stopping for on the road conveniences is a very common practice…read more So here we are today, I am stopping at this Chevron to meet my "festival guy"( we always laugh as I transfer artwork to his vehicle from parking lots all over the city). I've stopped here for gas a few times. It's not the cheapest, but it is the one you find yourself at if crossing the causeway. They have all you might require, gasoline, a slim jim and a fountain drink. The parking lot gets crowded and it seems like the pump area is always congested.....a pain in the ass to get out sometimes, you just kind of have to suck it up because you were too lame to stop elsewhere...... I'm a patron.....and will continue.

One of my FAVE EXXONS at which I fill'er up. This location is right on the corner of Vets &…read moreCauseway and although frequently busy, which isn't a bother because folks don't stay long, I stop-in without hesitation. I know this place to be a meet up spot and a landmark; trust me, I've used it as such several times. I find the gas prices to be a little below the average, which is great, great, great. I use this location as a gauge for other EXXON stations. Going inside the convenience store, one can definitely find something to tickle their fancy. Lots of snack and drink choices. Friendly staff within, always a plus. I like the TV screen that plays while you're fueling up; way cool.

It is always difficult to review gas stations since they all serve pretty much the same purpose…read more When I do review them I try and focus on what makes each station special. For this station, there are several specialties. Location - This station has the primo location at the intersection of Veterans and Causeway Blvd. If you're headed north, this station is always less crowded than the ones closer to the bridge. Bathroom - While not the cleanest, this station's inside, including bathroom, are open 24 hours a day. It is a great spot to use the facilities before that long drive north. Pumps - There are plenty Car Wash - This is one of the few stations to still have a stand alone wash. In closing, if you are headed to the Northsore and need to fuel up, pee or get your car washed, this is the place for you.
