I had become a very loyal Racetrac customer for over a year now. As I got to know them better I ended up signing up for a rewards account. I will admit I am not easy to please but I am also hard to piss off too. Do not give me BS. I was told today after purchasing the same pizza I have been purchasing for weeks (their Bacon Cheeseburger specialty) that they can not make the pizza without the cheese sauce. I said I have been getting it without the cheese sauce for weeks. She said I'm sorry but I cant do it. The oven is set to cook it at that temperature. Well I politely did not tell them anything about this second part as they were crowded and I did not want to get into an argument that I knew wouldn't solve anything. This time around because of what I had been told previously (mind you months ago) the bottom oven cooks faster than the top oven. Ok so let me get this straight, you can't not put the sauce because the ovens are so precise and well maintained that they cook it the same each way, but you have employees that have been there that know the oven cooks differently. IF they know Im sure you as the manager knows too. So if you want to state a reason you can not do something at least make it believable. Do not give me a reason that is contrary to what other employees have told me months ago that i know for a fact was true and is still true because I got a pizza out of the bottom oven that was much better charred cheese than the pizza I got the next day from the top. My office workers love your pizzas and we bought them routinely, but I can not stand BS. I do not tolerate it from my workers and I am not going to entertain facilitating a business that tries to feed me that. I am furious right now. Loyalty is something I value highly. If it was not suppose to be done, tell me that, because then I will write to corporate. However to tell me that you can not due it because the oven temperature would fluctuate, its already been done multiple times. I am still buying more obviously no one is dying or getting sick from how it has been getting done. If anyone had simply told me they couldn't do it because that's a rule from corporate then I wouldn't be posting this but to just feed me some BS excuse, no. completely unacceptable.
For those that say corporate doesn't do anything, I wrote to chuckie cheese corporate office and learned all kinds of neat things. A friend of mine was not being allowed to play at chuckie cheese because he didn't have a kid with him. I mean it might be weird for a 40 year old man to come play games alone at chuckie cheese, but when I emailed corporate, the person I was communicating with found out that about half of their business comes from adults renting the facilities to have office parties at. Adults are always welcome and if any staff tries to deny them from using their business, to give her a personal call and she would fix it. I was provided with her cell phone number. Ended up having a great weekend. Does it always work out? Of course not, but if I am not told the truth #1 I do not know who to go to to fix the problem, #2 I do not know who to blame and be upset with, #3 it is likely to escalate the situation because being caught in a lie is going to greatly raise the anger level. read more
