The staff at the racetrack in Boutte is very courteous and respectful. They were helpful with everything I needed.

Stopped here for a restroom break and to pick up a few snacks. The line to checkout out was wrapped around the inside of the store, and yet they only kept one register open. We were delayed about 10 minutes waiting for those traveling with us to make it out of the store. A major #fail. read more

This store is rude, arrogant, and their prices don't match the shelves. There were two young women there and when they rang me up I told them the shelf price. They reiterated that the register not the shelf was correctly priced. They said they'd change the price on the shelf. I said I'd wait and watch. They said it wouldn't be today. I TOLD them I'd leave this review and they both began laughing at me. Apparently management doesn't care what anyone thinks. This is literally one of the worst gas stations I've been to in my life. While one ice cooler is completely emptied, the other one is filled with empty plastic ice bags and empty beer cans. Deplorable this shit honestly count as a sanitation violation. I'm going to be calling the health department in the morning. I wouldn't eat anything from this location or drink. read more

This new and improved Racetrac was long over due for a makeover. It's been about a year now and the soft serve ice cream idea seems to have fizzled out a bit. Their coffee station is pretty nice and loading up on a suicide soda is easy with all the fountain selections. It's a busy location since people often stop on their way out of town or back in town after getting off the highway. The line can get quite long inside, but the staff has it down and lines move quickly. I'm always impressed by them. One good thing about a busy location is the turn over in grab and go foods. I wouldn't normally think of buying a fruit cup or sandwich from the deli area, but I know they are constantly restocking and adding new items. I've actually bought both and was surprised.... Their gas prices are some of the cheapest in town, so that alone is worth the stop. Gotta make a pit stop? This is a typical newer Racetrac that is a victim of its own success. If you are reading this review, it is highly likely that you know what Racetrac is like inside. There are old versions and new versions. Unlike humans, particularly me, the new version is actually better than the old version. Since we have already established that you know what this place looks like, I'll get to the good and bad of this particular station. The Good There are a bunch of gas pumps here. If you have a car enter the pumps in front of the station. If you are pulling a boat, enter on the other side. I like to get gas by the boat side even though I don't normally have a boat. You can too, but I like boat people so maybe stay on the other side if you don't. There is a door from the boat side that leads directly to the restrooms. Sometimes I come here just to pee. This is super convenient. The Bad This store is packed all the time. I have never been here when it wasn't crowded. Since I am unlike most men, I am incredibly patient. Normally crowds and lines wouldn't bother me. But the main issue is that because there are so many people in and out of this place, cleanliness suffers. The bathrooms are often filthy, and making matters worse, they are often out of paper towels. It is never ok to be out of paper towels. So there you have it. Boutte is a small community about 28 miles southwest of New Orleans, believe it or not this little Racetrac Station seems to be a focal point for the locals. I'd say it a pretty typical convenience store for the brand, but others might disagree especially those that were gathered around the coffee counter or leaning against the building's exterior having conversation - as for me it was a stop to fuel the F-150. The canopied fueling area was rather crowded with a few customers patiently waiting their turn, I followed protocol and pulled up to the store front after filling my tank to allow the next customer full access to the pumps - the interior and exterior of this station was fairly clean and well maintained including the restrooms and of course the infamous coffee bar... read more

I'm only rating this gas station for the coffee station. So bomb. There's so many varieties of coffees for every tastebud. Whip cream. Flavorings. Cappuccinos. There's a island that has sooo many creamers, half and half, milk. Underneath are the individual packaged creamers. I am amazed by how much this gas station offers in terms of a cup of joe. Was very rude in the morning. Cashier asked me to move my drink to the other side of the counter so I did and dropped it then she refused to ring me up saying I slammed it at her. Rudest racetrack employees ever work here. I probable spend about 10,000 a year there considering I stop in almost everry morning and get gas there also. I will never go to another racetrac again unless it's an emergency. Figure it out, stop hiring rude people! read more

I don't know how you rate a gas station, but I am rating this one as A-OK. The gas is cheap and you can buy all of the typical convenience store items inside. I wouldn't recommend sticking around for other reasons though. Get gas and snacks. read more

I always like racetrac, but on this visit I came in only needing a refill on a drink, but spent another $6 so as not to be cheap. Got to the register and told them refill. The cashier then started to lecture me that in this location I must inform workers before getting a drink because I could be lying. I took offense and informed her that her tone in informing me was rude and not proper customer service. Told her I would never visit this location again, she responded no problem the other worker laughed. I drive for a living and spend several thousand dollars a year at racetrac, not happy. read more

Love this place! Very clean store with friendly employees! Lots on "quick bite" options for lunch on the run. Huge selection of coffees, self serve ice cream with toppings bar, and my current fave $1 any size fountain drink. I am particularly fond of the pizza they make. $1 slice with any fountain drink! read more
