From the moment I opened the door, I was greeted by an atmosphere that can only be described as "surprisingly bathroom-like." The fluorescent lighting provided a soothing glow somewhere between a hospital hallway and a supermarket freezer aisle. The sink was particularly impressive. Water came out when I turned the handle, which is exactly the sort of dependable engineering I look for in a public restroom. The paper towel dispenser also performed admirably, dispensing a paper towel after only a brief struggle. Five stars for persistence. The toilet itself appeared to be securely attached to the floor, which inspired considerable confidence. The seat was approximately the temperature I expected, and the flush produced a satisfying sound that suggested several gallons of water had been sent heroically into the plumbing system. There was also soap available, although I cannot confirm whether it was actually soap because I did not conduct laboratory testing. Still, it looked soapy, and sometimes that is enough. Overall, this bathroom delivered a memorable experience for a room whose primary purpose is to be forgotten immediately. Would I specifically drive across town to visit it again? Absolutely not. But if I happened to be at the station and nature called, I would answer.

Location - This station has the primo location at the intersection of Veterans and Causeway Blvd. If you're headed north, this station is always less crowded than the ones closer to the bridge. Bathroom - While not the cleanest, this station's inside, including bathroom, are open 24 hours a day. It is a great spot to use the facilities before that long drive north. Pumps - There are plenty Car Wash - This is one of the few stations to still have a stand alone wash. In closing, if you are headed to the Northsore and need to fuel up, pee or get your car washed, this is the place for you.

The only bad thing I can think of is that the pump I end up with, no matter which pump it is, it does not have the latch to keep the fuel pumping into your tank. You have to stand there and hold it open. It is more of an annoyance than anything else.

The store has a nice selection of various snacks and drinks along with offering lottery tickets. The weird way the gas pumps are set up very tightly together frequently results in a lot of disorganization with often just one vehicle blocking two pumps. The usually cheaper price of the fuel along with the bad pump island design leads to vehicles lining up and blocking traffic sometimes and they really need to do a complete redesign of how the pumps are positioned. Other than the goofy design of the pump island this is a decent place to satisfy your petroleum and convenience store needs.
