This was a beautiful and fantastic hotel in a great location. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Across the street was a sandwich and coffee that we frequent daily. Rooms were spacious and staff members were very attentive and helpful all the time. The pool area was nice and clean along with the sauna and gym. Restaurant had great food. Overall, a wonder experience here at Berlin Marriott. If I am back in Berlin, this would have to be my staying spot. read more

This hotel and room were booked by my husband's work. In the grand scheme of Marriott rooms, it was just a normal room (double queen) with access to the lounge. We were in an "execute room" on the 10th floor but that just meant we had included lounge access. For us this is perfect as he was working and the kid and I were touristing. We didn't need more than beds and a bathroom. For us the lounge made sense. Full breakfast is included, plus snacks in mid morning, a dinner of sorts, wine and after dinner snack, candy wall, all you care for sodas (Pepsi) and coffee/tea/hot chocolate. Everything was nonsmoking which was appreciated by us. The -2 floor offers a small gym with free weights and some cardio machines. There's a recreational pool, hot tub, sauna, and infrared chairs in three other part of that "gym" space. read more

Nice hotel in the Potsdamer Platz. You can easily get to the metro nearby and walk to the Reichstag, Brandenburg Tor and more. There is a nice shopping and restaurant area called playce nearby that I found on my last day. This is a huge full service Marriott. I used my rewards to stay here for 4 nights and everything was good. They have a lounge that has the breakfast buffet that includes some excellent German breads. You can go in the evening for snacks, wine and beer. Lounge access made this stay very nice. It has beautiful views of the city. I didn't get to use the pool or other features but I wish I had. The hotel is very popular with Americans and business people who you will see everywhere. The hotel always has taxis outside so transportation is easy. It's about 12 euros to get to the hotel from the main train station. I've been to many Marriott hotels over the years as a bonvoy member and this one is great especially for redeeming rewards. read more

The hotel staff is rude. If you're planning on coming to Berlin, stay at the Ritz Carlton do not come to this hotel. For whatever reason they don't like people not from Berlin. They have a phone number says at your service I called down to get some ice. They said ice is on your floor so I find the ice machine funny the ice machine door is locked so I call at your service again and lo and behold they said oh there's no door on the ice machine and I stated where the ice is at is it a cup with little cubes on it? She said yes that that's correct. OK the door is closed. There is the door on It. Just go to the fourth floor why don't you give me a key to the ice machine because it might be broke I said why isn't there a sinuses might be broke that's a great question. You can go to the fourth floor. I'm platinum elite I've already stayed at 84 hotels for the year and it's just May 1 2025. They don't care about your status they don't care what you needed Ice for so they just don't wanna be inconvenienced so if you're planning a trip to Berlin go stay at the Ritz Carlton or the courtyard city center. We loved our stay at the Berlin Marriott Hotel. We were on the 8th floor and it was very quiet. We rarely ran into other guests on our floor. The health club facilities are nice. I used the gym and the pool. We were able to check in about 2-3 hours early, which was wonderful after our flight from Belgium. This hotel was great is every aspect of the hospitality business. The check in process was a breeze. The staff were well-trained and professional and paid attention to every details. I noticed that she came around to my side of the counter, with both hands, to give me my key (just in case my electronic key would not work). The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. They have me in a room with the panorama view of the city - but there was really not much to see. The part that I enjoyed the most was the shower. They set the bar for the rain shower. I had 2 options - the rain shower from the ceiling or the handset. The ceiling rain shower had great water pressure and really hit the spot coming in from mostly non A/C environment in Berlin (it was 94 in a heat wave when I was there). Finally, location, location, and location - it is in a great location walking distance to near to all the main attractions. This will be my default choice of stay when I come back to Berlin read more

Worst Marriott you'll ever stay at. This place is a motel with a Marriott sign. I've never slept in such an uncomfortable mattress in my life. The floor is softer. The AC doesn't cool the room and I checked with their maintenance team to make sure it was working. They assured me it was, but that it just wasn't any good. On a positive note, the beds are so uncomfortable that bed bugs refuse to sleep in them, so you don't have to worry about that. read more

We arrived late in the day and the check in process was very smooth and our room was ready. Inside, we found a welcome plate of mini donuts - a lovely surprise! The executive lounge is accessible via key card (no receptionist which made the process smoother) and was spacious (never had trouble grabbing a table). For breakfast they serve standard fare like breads and bacon, and the scrambled eggs were surprisingly delicious. They have a wide selection of tea and soft drinks. We were never around for the dinner serving, but late at night they usually have some fruit and cheese. Note that while the lounge closes at midnight, they clean up early and the beverages and food tend to be gone by 11:30pm. read more

Beds are really comfortable, on the firm side. Beddings are good quality but not luxe. No US outlets or outlets for USB, video, etc. suggests this place hasn't been updated for some time. But, you don't feel it based on the upkeep. I have stayed in various rooms of this hotel, no bathtub. The shower is good. Water temperature is not steady though. Not an issue for me. The location of this Marriott is perfect for travelers as it is close to the Potsdamer Platz hub. There is also the Sony Center nearby for entertainment. Not a neighborhood though so if you are looking for mingling with the locals, this isn't the place. Several dining options nearby, including a Starbucks around the corner - a lot of Americans stay here. read more

I have stayed here two years in a row for the Berlin Marathon. It is super convenient for the race (easy walk to start and finish) but also for tourist activities while in the city. Very short walk to the train and central to tourist sights. A major mall is only 2 blocks away and several restaurants are within a block. There is also a Starbucks next door. The hotel itself is great. The front desk is helpful and the executive lounge is one of the beat that I have visited. I highly recommend for your stay in Berlin. read more

Had a wonderful time visiting the lobby bar, they have many comfortable seating arrangements, both public and more intimate, regardless of where you sit you guaranteed excellent service. The wine list is spectacular, a great selection of small plates as well as wonderful cheeseburgers. Really more 3.5 stars. Pros: - Executive lounge is great. I have status. This meant free breakfast, dinner, snacks, drinks, etc. It was also super convenient not to have to go out to find food. Though there are excellent dining options in Berlin, we had some spendy reservations on our trip and had to prioritize money and time. - Location. We walked to many sites and the U2 subway station was 5 minutes away. If you're coming to be a tourist - great location. - Room is the same, clean standard as you'd find everywhere else. Not sure if it was recently renovated. Cons: - Construction going on in front of the hotel entrance. On the first day we got there, we had a room facing the construction... it was noisy and they put us in a quiet room after we complained. - Bed was awful. To the point that we had back pain. We didn't notice until after the first night and both of our backs hurt. read more

Low-end bath toiletries, flimsy towels, non-functioning thermostat in room - place is an all around disappointment. Staying here was similar to a 1 star motel. People had attitudes and the rooms where really tiny. No water pressure in the shower and the hot water was lukewarm at best. These are items you usually don't think about until you no longer have them. If you are a Marriott Elite member even after 30+ years of using nothing but Marriott for business. If you buy two rooms only one will receive the Elite benefits and the other you must purchase. Example the executive lounge. You would be required to pay for the second room. The cost just to add the lounge was 70€ per day however 70€ per day for the lounge that served mediocre food and stale coffee was a rip off if you ask me. They did offer however to discount it for me down to 56€. Staff was the main problem. From the moment we checked in we received nothing but attitude from the staff. It felt like the coldest Marriott in Europe. To end my review on a positive noI will say that the location of the hotel was fantastic. read more

CheckIn/Out: both processes were excellent. In the check out there was a bit of the line so the comped the water we got from the mini bar. Executive lounge: was well.stocked and full of options at all the open areas. Cigar lounge was perfect. I could sit in A/C while the hubby smoked. It was perfect. Has multiple choices for the scotch lover with books and chess for entertainment. Gym: much better than most European gyms. The layout is a little crowded and could use rearranging. We did encounter that the gym needed sprucing up more often through the day and that security needed to check in a little more. There were several times you g children were down there playing unsupervised. Pool: is not heated and a bit chilly. But it was clean and stocked full of towels. Full showers available if you need it. Rooms: nice and clean. This is an economic friendly hotel so room service is spread out. Parking: hotel parking is very limited and costs 30 euro per day read more

The Berlin Marriott is a fantastic property and truly one of the best properties I've stayed at in the Marriott family of hotels. Located in the Postdamer Platz area of Berlin, the hotel is within easy walking distance to most of the major sites in Berlin and has easy access to the subway. In fact, during the winter, there is often a winter village setup right around the corner! Beyond the location, the service here is phenomenal. From the moment our taxi pulled up, all the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The property itself is also very well maintained. It was completely spotless and there people constantly cleaning. For our stay, my wife and I, as Marriott Rewards Platinum members were upgrade to a nice superior room and were granted lounge access. The room itself was a nice size with very modern (but not pretentious) decor. The bathroom was simply amazing, though water does have a tendency to seep out the shower door if you aren't careful. The bed was also quite comfortable, which wasn't the case with the other 2 Marriott family properties we stayed at in Europe. Our room also included nightly turndown service with chocolates! The cleaning staff were also very friendly, though they seemed to be the only staff that couldn't speak english. Not really an issue, though, as they seemed to at least understand what they needed to know. The Concierge Lounge here (free for MR Gold & Plat) was also excellent. Very beautifully kept with ample seating and great selections of food and drink. The only downfall was that you couldn't take a bottle or two of water with you to your room. But free food and drink is hard to complain about, especially when it's of high quality as was the case here. I'd wholeheartedly recommend this property to anyone visiting Berlin. The service, the rooms, everything is just perfect. A truly great stay in a wonderful city! read more

We loved our stay at the Berlin Marriott. It's a fantastic location in the middle of everything - easy walking distance to the Bradenburg Gate and Reichstag building and many tourist sites, plus quick easy access to the trains at Potsdamer Platz. We started our vacation down in Bavaria, rented a car and drove up to Berlin via Nuremberg and Dresden. When we arrived in Berlin, we checked in at the Marriott, returned the rental car, and spent the next two days walking all over town. Of note, I did try pulling into the parking garage with our rental car when we first arrived, and it was VERY tight. I did not feel comfortable trying to drive an unfamiliar rental car in that tight of a space, so I left the parking garage, dropped my family and luggage off at the front door, and went to turn in the rental car. They have very good free WiFi coverage. They have a nice executive lounge on the 10th floor. The beds were comfortable and we got connecting rooms for my family. My only minor complaint: Don't pay extra for "city view." In this case, "city view" = view of the building across the street from the hotel and nothing special. Even from the executive lounge on the 10th floor, the view isn't spectacular, but that's okay. I didn't really need the view - I cared more about the great location from which to walk everywhere in the city. read more

Love love love this hotel. I was raised staying at Marriott properties to begin with but this one is by far one of the nicest. Super friendly staff as well. The rooms are good size and have nice comfy beds but the real kicker is the shower. Not one, but two shower heads, including a rainfall one overhead. I felt like I was at a spa. The only bad thing was since it was marble, it was very slippery and some of the water still managed to flow out onto the bathroom floor so you just have to be careful of that. They have a lot of nice bar/restaurant options. We went to the fancier bar in the back kind of off to the right. They have some fantastic craft cocktails. My Pim's drink was delicious. The whole celebrity/Hollywood theme with VIP sections and whatever wasn't really my scene but we went early enough that it was nice and quiet. Great staff too. The location is stellar too. Just blocks away from the Brandenburg Gate, across the street from the Sony Center (go to Jostyburger if you can), across the other way from the giant Mall of Berlin and the incredible Holocaust Memorial is just a few blocks away also. If you need your US coffee fix too, there's a Starbucks right on the corner. I'm still dreaming of your comfy beds and luxurious shower Marriott Berlin.... read more

It's only a couple of blocks to the Brandenburg gate, Holocaust Memorial, Tiergarten park, Reichstag, Berlin Mall, and it's very close to a lot of nice restaurants -Awesome service. The staff was kind and courteous. -Rooms are spacious and modern -Amazing breakfast/lunch, which they served until 3 pm. This hotel is arguably the best hotel that I have stayed at in quite some time. My rate included a fantastically modern room (with an awesome overhead ceiling shower - I wish I had taken pictures), the executive lounge on the 10th floor (with a vast assortment of bottled drinks, finger food, and gourmet dining), and great service. While I may be slightly biased towards the Marriott, this particular property is rather outstanding. The location is centrally located next to almost any activity or tourist attraction; minutes from the main train station and only about 15 euros from Tegel International Airport. I enjoy running, and while Berlin offers one of the cleanest cities in general, this property is situation along thoroughfares and long roadways for great runs through historic Berlin. They say service can make up for food quality but food quality cannot make up for poor service; this hotel boasts both fantastic service and brilliant quality. The staff commands English far better than approximately every state south of the Mason Dixon Line. They are all quite friendly and take the extra effort to make you feel welcomed. Best attribute, they have free wifi throughout the lobby and wifi (included depending on your rate) throughout the hotel - great bandwidth too, none of that dial-up ridiculousness. If I come back to Berlin, which I will, this will definitely be the place I stay at again. As most reviewers have already said, this hotel is in an excellent location. The property is impressive in the quality it exudes. Hotel offers a steakhouse and other dining choices but there is also several restaurants within walking distance (even a Tony Romas for you BBQ rib fans). For those that like the great outdoors, there is a beauifu, largel park adjacent to the hotel - Tiergarten. Great place to walk or jog. Public transportation is very close at Posdamer Platz Bahnhof. Lots of entertainment, shopping, and tourist attractions very close by. Tip: I chose to skip the breakfast buffet (at 32 euros) and walked across the street to Coffee Bar, which offered really good coffee, fresh sandwiches and pasteries. read more

The location of Berlin Marriott is within walking distance to the Potsdamer Platz, Checkpoint Charlie, the Brandenburg Gate, and the Mall of Berlin, affording both sightseeing and shopping. Given the full capacity, the hotel really did a fantastic job. The executive lounge was great. Hotel staff were all professional and great, especially a gentleman named Kirill. You are first greeted with a frown. It seems no one knows how to smile here. From the Che k in desk to the concierge to the bar, you will be greeted with the same sullen and rude expression. I went to the bar 4 nights in a row--the bartender never recognized me nor did he even walk to my table to take my order--my husband walked to the bar at least 2 times each night. The room is quite comfortable as ever. The hairdresser was broken when I came onto the room and 30,00 € for parking might be a little bit too much. They even couldn't find my reservation and took a wrong address. However the lobby is perfect styled and the Catwalk walk invites for drink. The minibar in the room was completely empty! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this hotel. It is the best hotel I've ever stayed in in Europe. The decor in the lobby and rooms is nice and simplistic, not overbearing or showy and the rooms are to die for... The beds are so comfortable with some of the softest pillows ever. The rooms are spacious, modern, and very clean - just how I like it! But my favorite thing in this hotel is the bathroom - specifically the rainfall shower. It's so comforting and relaxing, especially after a long day of working or sightseeing. The Marriott is a well known brand name hotel in the centre of Berlin. It's a standard chain hotel, on the pricey side, clean, modern, well groomed staff that speak English, room service, rather depersonalised, etc. Some other points you may not know: - Air con - Expensive meals and food e.g. 5 euro for milk in your tea, 28 euro for breakfast (we had breakfast for two for under 25 euro at a cafe in the tourist part of town). - Have to pay for internet in room (20 euro per day). - Good public transport and taxis - It's very close to Potsdamer Platz station so easy to get around. - they lend you umbrellas - fairly large rooms (I was in a corner room) I'd stay there again if work was paying but wouldn't pay for it myself. read more

Absolutely stunning. The hotel staff took care of me as a Mariott Platinum with a large suite upgrade without asking for an upgrade when I arrived. Hotel stay was just lovely, very english fluent / customer service oriented staff. and generally made me feel at home after a long travel day. Def will be staying here again when I come back to Berlin. One of my favorite hotels in Europe.
