Greta location next to the train station, wonderful staff with amazing hospitality and clean hotel with great pieces that meets the basic needs of a travel! Highly recommend for the budget traveller who wants to explore Berlin with lots of food trucks nearby offering many budget eats!!

Great hotel location near the train station with super friendly staff. The breakfast was amazing with so many options. The room was nice, although a bit small, though we still had a king size bed. The irritating thing was the hot water got super hot every 10 seconds in the shower. It was unbearable for the 4 nights we were there. They need to fix that!

Pretty solid and clean hotel. It's not extremely glamorous but it does have an upscale modern hipster appearance. The rooms were spacious, I expected the queen room to be smaller. With only my backpack for the 4 day Christmas weekend I didn't have any suitcases taking up floor space. One suitcase wouldn't have taken up much space. Two would have been a little cumbersome. The bathroom was small with a standup shower but it was everything I needed. The hotel was quiet and I was roomed on the second floor and so was my travel buddy down the hall. Neither of us noticed any noise. The breakfast was not included even with titanium status but they did provide €10 meal vouchers to each room. Buffet breakfast is €15 and it was a good spread. The coffee maker made everything from espresso to lattes. The only complaint I have was it didn't warm the milk much so the drinks came out warm at best. Eventually I figured out if I made an espresso and then another drink and combined them, the temperature was were I wanted it. The east side of Germany is more "artsy" and up and coming it seems around this area but the longest section of the Berlin Wall is 2min away on foot. I self toured this area along with the museum at the end. It's worth it. To get into the museum district we used the various scooters. They are all over the city and roughly €0.27/min. I've ridden up to 5km on them throughout the city. Much of the time it was faster, cheaper, and more fun then uber. The price was also highly reasonable at about €82/night per room. A neat feature for the room was chrome cast on the tv so you can cast any video platform you want to the tv. It was extremely convenient and the first time I've been at a hotel which has this feature. The only complaint was the hot water would routinely fluctuate from the temperature set to scolding hot. I asked my buddy if his room did the same and it did. I never bothered talking to the front desk.

Really well done up place with very comfortable and well lit rooms and a great lobby for getting real work done. This was our first time in a Moxy and could see why the brand will appeal to the Gen Z. The front desk is very friendly (and causal). The daily breakfast has lots of options with a good array of breads, buns, jams, cheese, spreads, fruits, and cereals (but no hot stations). The bathroom and shower were just great, tho size was form fitting. To our surprise, there was no fitness center, which is a bit of bummer. We were told, there are paid gyms with close proximity. Outdoor running may be an option if the weather cooperates. The big plus is that the location is right next to the East Berlin train station. Plus, some key tourist attractions are within walking distance. We liked the motif and felt it was a great value. Well done!

Another quirky hip Moxy property located conveniently beside the Berlin Ostbahnhof location. Within walking distance to the Merxedes Arena Simple breakfast in the lobby for 12E. Quiet, efficient and fun rooms echo the fun decor in the lobby.

Moxy Berlin is a trendy, hip hotel conveniently located across the street from the Ostbahnhof. If you don't want to drag your luggage too far, it's a perfect location. Keeping with the Moxy chain's theme of Millennial retro-minimalism, the rooms are modern, small and sparsely furnished. There are hooks and hangers for your clothes. A wardrobe or closet would take too much space. Nonetheless, the bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is small but clean. The German shower faucets were a bit tricky to master, but now I'm used to them in every modern German hotel I've been to lately. Ingenuity, and I want one in my home! A room safe is not provided, but the lobby has self-lockers that are large enough to store entire backpacks. The room worktable is barely deep enough to hold a laptop, but then aren't you supposed to be downstairs working on the large communal tables? An appealing and varied Continental breakfast can be added. Just make sure you are there before the cutoff time, as the sliding doors displaying the food close on the dot. Being next to a major train station, some parts can be dicey at night. The hotel block is fine, and it looks like the city has cleaned up the small triangular park across the street. If you want to be near the world-famous nightspots in the old East Berlin powerhouse, it's only about 4-5 blocks walking distance.

The rooms are spartan and not quite as stylish as I'd hoped, but they do the job if you are just planning to sleep there and be out and about during the day. I liked that they have an electric tea kettle in the room. Also, unlike the other Moxy's I've experienced in the States, I appreciated that they had a jug of spa water in the lobby, as there is no bottled water in the rooms (even for purchase). There was a good variety of food for breakfast (toast, breads, boiled egg, deli meats, cheese, cereal etc), but I wish there were 1-2 hot items. If you're craving a late night bite, they can make you pizzas at night. Location-wise, this Moxy is a stone's throw away from the Ostbahnhof station, which made it ultra convenient to get around Berlin.

This is a super cool hipster hotel for young people. The design and layout are very non-traditional, very chilled atmosphere. Like breakfast, for example, is a buffet and you just take your tray anywhere in the hotel lobby to eat...which isn't that practical. The rooms are small...no closet, no fridge, only one tiny trash in the bathroom, no pool or gym. If you want something more fancy and classic I would just stay at a Marriott..

Hallo! 3.5 stars. I…read morestayed here two weekends ago with EF, an educational travel company for our International Training Tour. We arrived at the hotel by 10AM after a 30 minute bus ride from the Berlin-Tegel Airport. We weren't able to check in until 4PM but we securely stored our luggage in one of the hotel rooms. I think Hotel Ibis has a few locations in Berlin. The decor is pretty modern and European. The front desk attendants were helpful and do speak English in case you're traveling from the States. There are two computers for using the internet. They do have free WIFI, but it's very slow and you have to constantly log back on. They originally gave us a single room, but after asking to switch, we were giving a triple room with handicap accessibility. The room was comfortable, clean, and quiet for the most part. Our room didn't have much of a view, but we were only in our rooms to shower, relax, and sleep. The bed was SO COMFY. Though it's a twin size, I slept very well and wanted to take home the pillow. There wasn't air conditioning, but you wouldn't really need that until the summer. The shower had plentiful hot water and the bathroom was clean. There's also a small flat panel tv to watch German programs. They do have other European channels, but none from the US. It was cool to watch The Simpsons in German! The continental breakfast was included with our stay and is served from 6:30-10:30AM (I think) They have bread, eggs, cereal, sliced cold cuts, some fruit, nutella (!), pastries, yogurt, and an awesome espresso/coffee/hot chocolate machine. It was pretty delicious. The hotel has a good location. It's within walking distance to The East Side Gallery where you can see the artwork on the Berlin Wall. You can also walk to the Galería mall (they have some department stores), there's a small market where they sell fruit, food, and some handicrafts on the weekends. Most importantly, the Ostbahnhof train station is so close. The train station has lots of stores in case you need to buy something to eat or you forgot something in the States. The stores were open until 8PM which is convenient of course. The Hotel Ibis Berlin City Ost is a great central location when visiting Berlin and you will enjoy yourself in Germany's capital.

A brand that I know what I'll get. Location is great. Ostbahnhof 5 min walk. Rewe supermarket in…read morethe station basement open to 00.00 week nights (22.00 Saturday) and yes closed Sunday (Germany!?!). This hotel is new ish so very simple clean adequate rooms. They do lack a kettle to make your own cup of tea (is it just us Brits??). But the bar/cafe is open 24/7 and the staff very friendly. So location, age of hotel all make this low budget (it's not that low) a good deal at busy periods or when I want to explore the East of Berlin. Good view of TV tower too. Very simple furnished rooms with clean wooden floors - no dirty carpet. And surprisingly comfy bed with bright white clean sheets. Bathroom small but what do you expect. It's cool. It's East Berlin. Restaurant Recommendation: Check out Cunô (Japanese/Vietnamese) restaurant @ U Schlesisches Tor ...or from hotel 20 min walk (scarey if dark) or by bus 7 min ... go.. over the bridge (turn left out of hotel). At end of bridge u want the road going left Bus stop for Bus 165 Bethaniendann (bus towards Köpenick, Müggelsschlößenweg). It's worth it and great cocktails And a lively little district with bars and music and stuff.
