fun with the boys! nice in the summer.

A nice gravel ground dog park! Gravel isn't my favorite, hence the 4 stars. I think the pea gravel might get a little hot for the dogs in the summer, but in the cooler months it beats dirt because there's not much mud! There is many benches to sit on and it's very popular and usually pretty busy. The walk from the parking lot to the dog park isn't too long, and it's located next to a really nice lake. The highway is next to the park, but not very loud!

Big open space. Some shade. Good variety of dogs. It's not Disney Land but it's a lot better than most area dog parks. Tried to edit a previous review but I'll just update here. Lately a great group of volunteers has brought supplies into the park. Stations with King Soopers bags if you had forgotten your own poop bags. A trash drum inside so you don't have to walk out to throw away poop each time. A tool box where volunteers keep a few upkeep items. A broom for rocks under the entry canopy, a few rakes, a shovel. Best of all a dedicated cart with four water jugs. Volunteers routinely come and fill them from home or the water fountain outside, when operational. Fresh water for everyone! Other than that it's the same park it's always been. City closes it down one to twice a year for some maintenance. Mostly running a tractor around to even out and somewhat regrade all the gravel. They took out he big entryway tree two years ago because it was dying.

They loved the grass compared to Texas. It was a treat for my girls.

All dirt - no grass to run in? Not a great park.

When does the dog park close?

Dusk. I think technically the time is eight PM but have seen people stay later depending on available light.

I love that when I drop him off for daycare, I get a Skipper Report with photos and little updates about his day--like who he played with, his "besties," and just his overall mood. It makes me feel way more connected when I'm not there. And the photoshoots they offer are the cutest. I've definitely signed him up for those, too. I got Krypto when he was 12 weeks old, and once he was old enough, we had to try it (I kept seeing ads and was curious). As someone who's always loved dogs, fostered, and now is a dog mom, it really does feel like such a special place. I genuinely think going here and being around other dogs in a safe, social environment helped him become super confident and really good with other dogs, big or small. The staff (the Skippers) are honestly the best. Everyone's great, but I've especially gotten to know Cyndi, and it's been really nice having that familiarity. You can tell they genuinely care, and Krypto loves her!! Overall, he's just such a happy boy, and I feel like places like this make such a difference for dogs who enjoy being social. He's made so many little friends too--Juno, Disco, Nora, Bronco, Willa, Frank--which makes it even more fun to keep coming back!

I boarded my dog here for one night and left with serious concerns about their basic standards of…read morecare. I provided pre-portioned meals with clear written instructions and confirmed them twice -- once over the phone before drop-off and again in person. The instructions were simple and routine. Despite that, my dog was not fed dinner, and her breakfast instructions were only partially followed. More concerning, when I reached out after noticing their app did not show her dinner as completed, I was told she had been fed. That information was incorrect. I also did not receive any of the updates or reports that were expected during her stay, and my message to support went unanswered for approximately 9 hours. At pickup, I was handed back her untouched dinner along with the remaining portion of her breakfast, confirming the instructions had not been followed. When I raised this with staff, the only resolution offered was a credit toward a future stay. This experience reflects a breakdown not just in communication, but in executing the most basic responsibilities of pet care.
