I followed their instructions and used prescribed drops for months. Prairie Eye then treated the warranty as expired and wanted another $1,000 to redo my left eye. Patients should not lose their warranty protection because the provider's treatment and follow-up process extends beyond the deadline. I went to my appointment expecting Prairie Eye to stand behind its work, but I ultimately left without the corrective procedure because I did not believe I should have to pay again. LASIK is permanent. Patients deserve honest communication, responsible follow-up, and accountability when the outcome goes wrong. Based on my experience--damaged vision and a warranty Prairie Eye would not honor--I cannot recommend this practice.

I'm assuming she was in some type of management position because she appeared to be training the woman sitting next to her. I said I'm wanting to see about having the lenses replaced in these glasses. First of all, she looked at me like I had two heads and then said, for a warranty. I said no, just to have them replaced, my insurance will pay for lenses but not frames. She took the glasses from me and looked at them for a minute and twisted them a bit and then told me she "would say no". She didn't trust the integrity of the glasses that when the lenses were popped out they wouldn't break. That may be, though I have serious doubts. However, she seemed much more interested in what she was doing on the computer. She was also very dismissive about the entire idea of replacing the lenses. There are plenty of other places to buy glasses that aren't Lens Crafters or one of their many subsidiaries.
