My actual appointment and exam were fine. However, when my son and I went to check out and set up…read moreour appointment for next year, this awful, unprofessional woman scoffed at my asking for an appointment after 3pm, acting like it was a ridiculous request. This was followed by her taking forever to determine a time, fumbling around her computer and asking follow-ups about my son's school schedule that were none of her business. This woman was incompetent, rude and disrespectful--some refreshers in manners and patient service would serve her well.

I followed their instructions and used prescribed drops for months. Prairie Eye then treated the warranty as expired and wanted another $1,000 to redo my left eye. Patients should not lose their warranty protection because the provider's treatment and follow-up process extends beyond the deadline. I went to my appointment expecting Prairie Eye to stand behind its work, but I ultimately left without the corrective procedure because I did not believe I should have to pay again. LASIK is permanent. Patients deserve honest communication, responsible follow-up, and accountability when the outcome goes wrong. Based on my experience--damaged vision and a warranty Prairie Eye would not honor--I cannot recommend this practice.

I saw a doctor in a satellite clinic and had to call and wait repeatedly for injections I got monthly because they hadn't gotten the medication from Springfield. That doctor subsequently left the clinic and I was a victim of patient abandonment when I received a letter saying basically "your doctor left, you're on your own". I won't go back to this facility.

The check-in process was excellent--I was registered and placed in an exam room before I could even finish my paperwork. I first explained my symptoms, injuries, and what caused them to the physician assistant. A few minutes later, Dr. Campbell entered and asked me to repeat everything I had just explained. After listening to my account, I was stunned when Dr. Campbell told me she would not document how or where my injuries occurred in my medical record. I repeated her statement back to make sure I understood correctly, genuinely surprised by what I was hearing. When I asked if she considered my explanation to be hearsay, she answered, "Yes." I was taken aback. Before leaving, I asked one final question: "Do you think I'm lying to you?" She did not respond, which only added to my disbelief. For context, I had recently been arrested following a minor physical altercation, and I believe my injuries occurred while I was in the custody of Springfield law enforcement and the Sangamon County Sheriff's Office. Regardless of the circumstances, I expected my physician to accurately document the history I provided, even if it was clearly identified as my reported account. Instead, I left shocked that such a critical part of my medical history was dismissed outright rather than recorded. While the staff was prompt and courteous at first, my interaction with Dr. Campbell left me with the firm belief that Springfield Clinic Urgent Care medical professionals do not care about disabled veterans. They also banned me from ever returning because I asked to speak to someone about Dr Campbell's overt disrespect while saying I've never experienced such disrespect like that as a military veteran.
