My Wife arrived early to pick him up and witnessed the groomer striking him repeatedly on the muzzle with a tool. She stopped when my Wife entered. A conversation with the owner did not go well. She entered the establishment immediately and the girl knew she had been witnessed. Upon complaining to the owner of the establishment my Mother was not provided any explanation nor any satisfaction. Our dogs have since gone back to our groomer in lower Michigan, and our regular groomer reports that our youngest male is terrified. Where he used to offer his paws to her for grooming and stand quietly for grooming he now trembles, even vomited and pulls his paws back from her. In my 37years of raising standard poodles, I have never encountered anything like this. I hope this review helps people in the area looking for a groomer. I would hate for anyone else to have to go through what we have gone through as a family.

I was hesitant based on how much availability they had but it was the only groomer in town not booked throughout the summer which should have been a red flag in itself. I made an appointment for 1100 and dropped her off at 1050. Other than shot records being a requirement to get groomed, I can't say anything else good about this place. I have a beagle which takes approximately an hour for a bath, nail trim and dry. After two hours have passed, I popped in to check on the status of my pup and the girl at the front desk was on her phone, but put it away as I approached her. When I asked how much longer they would have my dog, she said they hadn't started yet. I told her I would just take her now. She said that they were behind schedule, but never provided any status updates over the duration they had my dog. Lastly, my pup was kenneled the two hours she was there, not in the open bay to play which hurt my heart because she is not kenneled at home. Had I known they were not going to groom her immediately and call upon completion, I would not have left her at all. Of all the groomers I have visited in my travels with the Air Force, this place has the worst customer service; no communication, multiple excuses, distracted by phone, no compensation. It's clear they care about the dollar and not the dog. I have shared my experience with local friends and family and hope to pay it forward so others time is not wasted.
