Lowes just gave me a $4000+ refund and said they are trying to distance themselves from the Rock Shop! Lowes and Home Depot needs to get a quality installer to work with. You could see the seams from 30 feet away. I have experience with Ubatuba granite installation at previous residence and the seam was nearly indistinguishable. They returned to "fix it" and after they left, we cleaned the countertop. We could see an obvious dull spot along the entire seam where they damaged the granite polish. Within a couple of weeks their seam repair began falling out. Additionally, they did not align the front edges and scuffed the finish off the oven cabinet during initial install. Compared to our experience with Home Depot's Contracted Installers in Virginia also using Ubatuba granite, the quality of this install in Northern Michigan is HORRIBLE! After greater than10 calls to Lowe's Installation Customer Service and calls to the local Lowe's store Dept Manager, Lowe's finally got the Rock Shop to schedule an appointment on Nov 2, 2022. At this point, if they do not remove the granite and reinstall properly or replace it completely, I am demanding a refund from Lowes and going with another vendor completely. This is a classic, "we got your money and don't care what it looks like."
