There are many advantages in owning your own slip, the most notable being that you're not paying rent that you will never see again. You get to use your slip during the season and then lay-up on land or stay in water offseason without paying the dock or storage charges you pay at other marinas. As an owner, you can also rent out your slip like renting out any other property you own. And when you had enough of the boating life you can sell it... just like any other property you own. If you're looking for a place that you'll enjoy as if it were your own backyard then give us a call. Many owners do successfully rent their slips. Let us help find what you need. The AYC is within walking distance of Montauk Highway, with restaurants and stores available. Each slip has a parking spot right behind your slip. And every slip has a concrete patio behind the slip for you to place your own picnic table and barbecue to entertain your family and guests. Each slip has an electric post with two 30amp outlets and dockside water hook-up. Please call Billy Jennings at (631) 226-2760 to make an appointment. Chris runs an uber professional outfit: I was basically deciding whether or not I would be getting out of boating. I had tried out numerous marinas on the same BLOCK. All of which, I was inherently dissatisfied with the sercice. Not only does Chris GO OUT of his way to satisfy his customers, he goes above and beyond. I am the only small boat on a jetski dock, Chris is ALWAYS ensuring I am satisfied with my service at Open Bay. I have never ever felt like a customer here. He truly has his marina members best interests at heart. If I even think my motor is running rough, I hardly have to mention it. All of the other marinas in the area are truly a waste of time. I strongly suggest NOT trying out your hard earned money anywhere else. This marina is owned by a stand up, /true to their word family, Open Bay Marina is a great addition to the south shore boating community. I will continue to give them my business and recommend their services to others.

He said I had to come personally to pick up a check from their office. I explained that I lived far away (over 2 hours drive each way), work full time, and have a family. He refused to budge, citing potential fraud. I asked he mail the check to the address on the title, or wire the funds to me directly, and that I would waive any liability related to fraud in writing with him. "Ron" would not budge. I spoke with the sales agent, John Noonan, and said "what if I sold the boat because I moved to California, would you make me fly in to pick up the check?" He said "yes". Both just kept repeating themselves over and over about their "policy". FYI: when Amity needed money from me for storage fees, it happily handled the transaction through mail or on line and I certainly did not make Amity come to my house to pick up the check.

It was slow going and we were very late showing up to Matt's Marina. Not only were they so nice to me when my plans kept changing, but were accommodating when I showed up late and a bit frazzled from having such a tough boat move. The guys there helped 1) securely store my sailboat on their limited open dock space overnight and 2) take it out of the water first thing the next day. They reported back on the condition of the boat and necessary repairs before they got started with anything. They did hours upon HOURS of MASSIVE barnacle removal, which is a thankless and dirty job, all so I can move my boat to it's North Shore location later this week. They even did a walk-through and reviewed the condition of the hull with me after the barnacles were off and it was fully power-washed, pointing out the next steps for repairs and how to best handle it. These are some REALLY good people on the South Shore, and I would recommend them to anyone. Great crew, nice guys, and have a sense of humor if you're like me and have no idea what you're doing. It's all a learning experience. Thank you guys for being so cool and helping a girl out!

Left that day saying what a genuinely nice guy. Took me a few years and tons of research as to what make and model boat I wanted, settling on Crownline and I finally pulled the trigger, frequently entering the showroom numerous times picking his brain about all things bowrider and as I said, finally pulled the trigger. Coincidentally, unknown to me a friend told me he also uses Kehls for winter storage and couldn't be happier. Anyways, throughout the process I came to know his 2 brothers Mike and Joe as well as Joe's wife Anne whom handled the closing. From 2020 on, I have had only an excellent experience with the ENTIRE Kehl family. They sell family boats as well as fishing boats. We had a great time for about an hour or so but about half way back the engine started sputtering and then died. We tried a few things but admittingly while we can both turn a wrench, neither of us are all that handy when it come to boats. While he was trying to access the carb (it's a pretty old but cool boat), I was already on Yelp looking for help. The fellas at Kehl's were as cool as a cucumber and as nice as my uncles. We tried a few more things but to no avail. We simply cracked a couple colds ones and waited a short while for them to arrive and tow us back to their marina. While I didn't ask him how much they charged for their work, I do know they were able to get her fired up the next day and he was pretty pleased with it all. I don't own my own boat yet (aside from canoes/kayaks), but when I do, I'm surely glad I now know of a friendly, reliable and honest boat mechanic/ marina nearby!
