The rudest staff ever. I would recommend to dock your boat LITERALLY any where else. $50 for nothing to be done by the staff.

I just had him wrap my boat abd it included, a Boat Dehumidifier, 2 air vents, and a access door with zipper. Today is November 27th, 2022. The price was $280. Everyone else was $350 and up. Crazy. I recorded the install, and here is the video if you wanted to see his workmanship. https://youtu.be/p82KmjqEPHQ I gave him the JoeteckTips instant Awesome Rating and I recommend his services. In the spring he will be detailing and painting the bottom of the boat that is how happy I am. Thank you Mike!

My son had a seam open up on his wrapped furniture and called Mike at Lukens. Mike told him he was out of town for a family wedding but would come by the following week to address the issue. He never came to resolve the issue. Today I opened up our patio furniture and there was easily 3" of water pooled on the bottom of the shrink wrap packaging and there were decayed leaves in the shrink wrapping as well. Clearly the shrink wrap wasn't properly sealed at the time it was applied. There was rusty water running out of the legs of the patio table and bench. My deck has visible signs of rust stains from where the water accumulated and came in contact with the furniture frames. Covering the pieces with furniture covers in prior years wasn't a good solution. The covers would blow off and water would penetrate. I expected a more professional outcome by choosing to shrink wrap the pieces. Clearly that was not the outcome we received. I won't use or recommend Lukens Marine Services for shrink wrapping in the future.

This year she went againn. She was loving it, she loves to scuba dive and sail. After one week I received a call from Mike that he was sending my daughter and a group of other kids home for having their cell phones. He also sent others home for drugs and Juuling. We had no idea that having a cell phone could send our daughter home, it was not in the contract. They actually talk about how the kids contact you while at camp, via their cell phones at certain times. So clearly, everyone brings them. When we did not comply with brining our daughter home immediately Mike decided to make her as uncomfortable as possible, leaving her and the other cell phone users outside on a concrete floor or wooden bench for the day. It ended when she contacted me and told me she was being eaten alive by mosquitos. I called Mike and told him that he had to let her inside. He got off of the phone with me and berated her for contacting me, keep in mind he had given her phone back to her. We actually have recordings of him yelling at her. He kicked out at least 3-4 kids so far for cell phones, one for using drugs, one for Juuling and one for not doing chores. There are much better choices out there for your teenager. Kids should not be sent home for having a cell phone, keep in mind, its at our expense.

Outstanding, family-run operation that delivers exemplary customer & marine service, every time…read more Highly recommend! Let me explain why In November 2017, I met with Dave Willis about a boat he had for sale in his yard. He greeted myself and my two year old daughter walking with us to show the boat, helping her climb the ladder. I explained I am a full time first responder and also United States Marine who was slated to deploy overseas the following year for approximately 15 months. Dave Willis and I had a 40 minute conversation in regards, coming to find out Dave is also a member of Halesite Fire Department. Outstanding! Long story short, Dave and his family at Willis Marine Center worked with me remotely (while deployed) and then in person again for another TWO YEARS to finalize this boat purchase. In July 2019, we finalized the sale and Dave went out of his way to prepare every document ahead of time. They lowered the boat into the water and observed it floating prior to my arrival, Dave noticing a leaking drain plug. They repaired it one day and the next morning me, my daughter and dog cruised out of Huntington Harbor for Oyster Bay. Not to be outdone, the boat (a 1969) has begun a complete restoration since that time, and just this week Dave, Todd and everyone at Willis Marine Center hauled the boat having arleady ordered, received, and got the components ready to begin the first major portion of this ambitious project, a 14ft x 30inch teak swim platform mounted to a freshly primed, painted and finish polished transom. Dwight and Rick do the installation in a matter of hours and knock this job out of the park! Transom stripped, primed, painted, polished and then Dwight and Rick install the platform from scratch - Guess how long this took? If you guessed 4 days in TOTAL then your right. See pictures on their FB page!! Did I mention my sister and brother-in-law bought a boat this year and first place she chose to moor, store, and service her boat is Willis Marine Center? Not a coincidence folks! Come down and meet the entire team at Willis Marine Center, you will not go anywhere else. Last but not least...I met a ton of great people hanging out down here. Generally boat people are good people, but boat people that are HAPPY with their Marina are even friendlier. Trust me on this one! -Patrick Kelly
