As he has stated he can buy parts at overtones for less money this may be true but I research his findings to be inaccurate Overton sells his spark plugs which are ngkbpz8hs-10 X6 which sell for 9.99 per plug we sell them for 13.00 to be honest he then has his water separator fuel filter which cost 15 and in line fuel filter which was $12.00 the there is the enzyme fuel treatment which I told him was on the boat if he did not want it I wold have been more then glad to take it off I sell this product to all my customers because I don't want them to have any problems thru out the season. And we also have a shop supply charge on every invoice to cover shop supplies which consist of rags battery terminal spray grease etc. In regards to his labor cost tune up was 165 which consists of battery install his were very tight compartments fuel filters plugs load test batteries run engine and dewinterize check all 12 volt functions on boat as well as bilge pump and we also installed lower gear case which was 50.00 so labor total was$ 215.00 and parts where $167.00 so total cost was 382 and then their was nys sales tax of 32.94 total was $414.94 not his 411 but this is the real break down and truth we at on scene marine believe in giving our customers fair and honest prices and we are truly honest unlike other marine mechanics we truly replace the parts said and stand behind our work and for Mr g to add bad review to mislead others the facts are their look at overtones online their price for the plugs range from 2.99 - 9.99 but if you look at the plugs he has they are 9.99 thank you for reading and have a great day. read more

On Scene Marine services was a quick search result as I looked for help with my boat. I have had it for almost ten years and have had other so called marine mechanics servicing my boat. Well this year when I opened the boat it would not start and things did not seem right. Thank God that my regular guy was not available and I was able to find On Scene Marine on Google. I called and Andrew answered his cell, and two hours later he met me at the house. Long story short, my old mechanic used car Spark Plugs everything was rusty, the oil filter was marked as last changed in 2010, that's five years of being robbed by this other mechanic. when I had paid him to do what was right, since I usually left a check for him, never questioning his integrity. Andrew commented that he was glad I was there while he and Jim worked on my boat. They did 90 percent of the work and finished at 7:40 at night, they ordered a fuel pump and came back the following day in the afternoon and changed it as promised. All in all I had a Starter, fuel pump, full tune up, oil change, took out my old fuel to make sure I would have a good start, plus a few other incidentals. I called several other repair shops on Long Island and was told from two shops they would not be able to look at my boat for 3 weeks and one said they don t fix motors more than 10 years old. I called Andrew and we discussed my problem over the phone. In two days the parts were in his hands and he was at my home working on my motor. He took the time to help me launch the boat and bay test it after the repairs were made. Who in this day and age is going to take the time to do that. Since it is June and I didn't want my Boston Whaler at some marina waiting forever for parts I decided to try On Scene because I had seen his truck at a marina.
