We started off walking around together, but split off and got lost walking through the store and checking it all out. The space is massive and has high ceilings. Plus, it's very bright and light inside. All the sections are organized and feature good visual merchandising of new arrivals and/or books on sale. There's a nice cafe area towards the back with ample tables and seating at the back left of the store. Throughout the store, there are also lots of comfortable chairs to sit on if you find interesting reading material that you want to preview or flip through. My husband said it best when he said, "Wow, there's so much to find - you could never get bored here!" I know that we will be back.

Most times, books I want that cannot be found in other locations can be found here, and I believe this is due to their sheer size in this location, being able to house more books. The staff are remarkable. Kind, helpful, patient, courteous, and they take their time assisting you. This is a great touch. They offer promos and sales, so be sure to catch those. The premium membership makes things worthwhile. Their selection of vinyl far surpasses other locations, and I often find myself disappearing into their music department as a result. This is the largest selection (aside from corporate-owned Bauman's) of rare books I've seen that include the dust jacket- a collectors actual dream. It's the biggest breath of fresh air to find a rare book store owned by a woman, and to be treated like a human being. I normally get side-eyed from rare bookstore owners and some of the conversations I've had sound like: "May I see the Portrait of a Lady in the case?" "All of these books are at least $100.00 and up." ".....I know." "Do you have any Wilde?" "The book about the woman hiking alone? That's too new to be in our shop, Barnes & Noble would have it." "I'm talking about the 1800s poet." "Oh." I take it personally because while I look like a millennial who doesn't know what she's talking about, I treasure my rare books like they're my children. Sunday stayed AN EXTRA HOUR at her store while I looked and answered all of my questions that I had, never making me feel rushed or unwelcome. After selecting a first edition Fitzgerald, she wrapped it in bubble wrap for my travels back home and gave me an updated book with all of the rare book sellers in the country.

My wife and I just visited this store because it is free comic book day and we work with a…read morenon-profit that sends comics into prisons to enhance literacy. The store was empty and as we walked toward the back, there was a gentleman sitting in a small office. He grunted at us when we greeted him. When we told him we were there to see about some free comic books he said those were just for kids. When we told him why we were there - seeking donations for Comic Books for Justice, he grunted again. Whether he would like to donate or not, or agrees with our mission or not, it was the rudest customer service I have experienced in a long time. Had he shown even the smallest inkling of kindness, my wife and I would have shopped the store and likely made some decent purchases. In any event, be warned. This is not a nice guy and not a very nice place.
