Marzen

We stopped in for a Marzen. The color was good, the taste was good but it didn't drape. It didn't have a collar at all. The atmosphere was good. We didn't order any food.

I went here with my boyfriend while visiting family. The atmosphere was ambient and the martinis were amazing. The margaritas weren't anything special and i probably wouldn't order it again, but it is a brewery so obviously their beers are better. Between the both of us we got two beers, a vodka crush, martinis, and a margarita. I will say their martinis and beers are amazing. I want to come back and try more from them while I'm in town. I would definitely come back. This place doesn't get super busy in the evening. We went around 9pm and the place wasn't super full so it was easy to have a conversation and to find a place to sit. I would definitely come back.

Great building and atmosphere. Could have had quicker service. Did not try any food but the Bavarian dip trio looked good. Might try it next time if we had more time. They also did a great job with our child. Made him feel very welcome. Keep the family atmosphere there and you will have great success.

Waited 10 minutes. No one said two words to us. Finally left without any service. Don't go to this place.

Busy Icefest crowd and with good reason. Beer, pretzels, fish and chips- all stellar.

My uncle ordered a cup of chili to start. It was served hot which is always a bonus. Not too spicy even though it had a spice label next to it on the menu. The presentation was nice as it's served with 4 tortilla chips. My Aunt opted for the babyback ribs served with fries. My uncle's main dish was the soft shell crab tacos while I went with the brisket mac and cheese and side Caesar salad. These items, with exception of the salad, were on a separate menu, likely seasonal. The servings are large (even the side salad)! I barely put a dent in my Mac and cheese. I was a little disappointed that the brisket that was "folded" within my MAC and cheese was playing Hide-and-seek. I would prefer more protein in that dish based on the quantity of pasta. The salad was well-dressed. At most restaurants I have to add caesar dressing to the salads. I washed it down with a sweet tea while my Uncle tried the White Birch beer. My aunt thought the baby back ribs were dry, and had a bit too much sauce on it. It would have been nice to have less sauce on the ribs, with additional sauce on the side. My uncle did not think the soft shell crab tacos were all that (although novel), which is probably why he ordered. It had more batter on it, and one can barely taste the crab. He said he would not order it again. As residents they will not go back to this restaurant anytime soon, and can't really recommend it unless someone just wants to try give it a try. I'll have to try the root beer on my next visit. Our waiter was very attentive and the volume in the restaurant was reasonable enough to have table conversations. I definitely recommend stopping at one of these locations if you're visiting or passing through.

The server was a young guy, who, at 3 pm on a Wednesday really just was trying to grab a bite to eat himself in the back room. No attempt at a smile, but he did go through the motions. We've been servers before so we know what it's like to be tired on your feet, but this wasn't that. As to the food, the bratwurst reuben was really, really, not good. The fries were fine. Burgers were decent. They forgot (several times) the sauce for my kids chicken tenders, so that we had to go get it ourselves, and by the end, it felt like we couldn't wait to get out of there. Bummed, we've been waiting to go for a few years! It's amazing how a few smiles could have improved the experience.

The steaks were okay -- they seemed tough and mine, for medium seemed slightly over cooked with hardly any pink inside and what there was was very light pinkish / brown color. Jenni said her steak was done to her satisfaction -- medium well. I would say mine was probably also medium well. My steak had a lot of fat and gristle that I didn't eat. The mashed potatoes were amazing. My asparagus seemed stingy in size and number of stalks and added little taste or filling to my plate. Jenni said her green beans were okay. The iced tea was great. My Pepsi didn't taste flavorful though Alyssa said she checked the soda bags and they were full. I swapped for sweetened ice tea. Alyssa was a super friendly server who checked on us regularly. We want to patronize local businesses but we probably wouldn't get our meals again and would try something else. Jenni said she'd rate our experience as a 2.5 which is exactly what I'd give so we're going to round up since maybe our experience was just a little off this evening.

First, half the tables were empty and there was still like a half hour wait. It just seemed not staffed enough, but once you're here (they don't take reservations) there's not a lot of places nearby to change your mind to. There is a small merch shop to browse as you wait. The tables are nicely spaced out. The Bavarian pretzels were great, but they only come with mustard and cheese is an upcharge, which I've never seen as a pretz connoisseur. It was an interesting thicker cream cheese-ish dip which required spreading with the knife. The website lists a "weekly steak special" but none was to be found when we went. So we got the gyro which was decent and the Philly cheesesteak which was extremely salty to the point of being almost inevitable. The homemade chips (the only non upcharge size) were thick and crunchy. Both sandwiches were around $20 which felt overpriced for the quality. Other sides were available for an upcharge, which seemed not worth it on the existing bill. The service was good, the bathrooms were nice, and there was plenty of parking. The food was just disappointing. If you're more of a drinker, you may be able to overlook that.
