So far having a great experience with Serge and Lauren. I was recommended to them to resolve a p0017 code for a supposed camshaft actuator replacement. I described to serge what shops are telling me and he told me no darn problem and he told me exactly what they'd do, loosen the subframe, loosen engine mounts, stabilize the engine with a cherry picker & tilt it forward to access the engine from behind the fire wall. He was the only guy in all of the SF Bay Area, Silicon Valley, & Sacramento who even knew what I was talking about. After research, I decided to pull the trigger. So far, Lauren and serge were very welcoming to receiving my vehicle in the middle of the evening and now they're going to give a FULL thorough inspection to get me up to date with everything I might need for this project. I'm thankful to have found them and look forward to working with them for this project. I trust Lauren & serge will be sure to get this together for me. OEM pricing was steep, so I asked about alternatives and got a more reasonable quote for the rears, which I approved and got done. But when I asked for similar Brembo pricing for the fronts, communication dropped off. I followed up, even mentioned another reputable shop could do the same parts for $600 less and asked if they could price match. They said they'd get back to me -- never did. I also asked about lowering the car more (they previously lowered it) -- same thing, no follow-up. To top it off, I found a wrench left under my hood after the install. I called and left a voicemail just to let them know about returning it to them and ask about the previous items -- still no response. The pricing wasn't the issue. Massive shout out to Serge and BenzWorks! He is an absolute legend. He saved me from a shady dealership (Mercedes Benz Long Beach) trying to scam me out of $3500 today. Towed my GLS 450 to the dealership with a dead battery. They said they ran diagnostic tests and that the alternator was bad. It wouldn't hold a charge and needed to be replaced for over $3500. I paid $200 to have it towed over to BenzWorks for a second opinion. He said if the alternator had been bad, he would have fixed it for half the price that Mercedes Benz Long Beach quoted. But all diagnostic checks came back passing. Battery was fine. Alternator was fine. They straight up lied and Serge told me the truth even though that meant he wouldn't make a dime on me. He charged me $0 to run the tests and I was able to come pick my car up the same day. Also offered to do my Service B for $299. The stealership charges over $1,200 for that. Highway robbery. BenzWorks earned a loyal customer for life today. I'll be taking all of my cars to Serge from now on. read more

We originally were told by Porsche Irvine that our 2021 Cayenne GTS had a contaminated engine due to a coolant leak (that they may have neglected to fix properly a few weeks earlier). Estimated cost originally was $28,000. We towed it out of dealership and brought to BenzWerks where we were informed that engine had not been contaminated but that there were some maintenance items that required our attention along with some replacement of engine parts due to leak. Total repair was approx. $8900. We were treated with care and repairs were made in a timely manner. We will definitely be back and couldn't recommend more. read more

1st time here. Called in the morning in for an appointment, hoping to get in tomorrow and next couple days. My E350 was overdue for a Service B due to being mislead from MB Dealership Service Dept. Serge was not available, spoke with an associate named Paris. He gave me the price and was able to get me in within 30 minutes of my call. I have friends that service their AMG's here but didn't call them for referral. I wanted to get the full "new customer" experience. **Incident** as I parked, a Car Insurance Appraiser was in the car next to me. As I was getting out of my car, I hear a LOUD thud against my passenger side (WTF). That "careless" appraiser (I have other describable words instead) swung open his door full force and hit against my door. Keep in mind the appraiser is not a Benz Work employee. Lucky it didn't put any dent on my door and there was a scuff. The appraiser guy was acting as if he didn't do anything wrong, but apologized after I confronted him about the whole situation. Long story short, Paris said he would take a look at it and see if he could buff it out as a courtesy. While the appraiser took off asap. My car was serviced within 45 min as promised AND as a courtesy, Paris was able to get the scuff out from the door swing damage, looking like new. Overall, great experience and will definitely be coming back for future service and anything else needed for my car. They service all levels of Euro cars, Luxury cars, Benz etc...Paris was knowledgeable and professional from beginning to end. Okay here's the deal. When you invest in a car and you like it & you want it to last you tend to lean to more specialized services. Notwithstanding; I want to balance things cost-wise, so I opt to maintain items at America's Tire, AAA club batteries and whatnot. I am in no way saying BenzWorks cannot provide these things, and beautiful ones at that, I just have other stuff I want to use my money for. In any case, this a helluva clean shop. Had a light sequence come on on the dash so I stopped by BW the way home. The guys are polite and efficient, one halted his work on a precision machine to summon Serge, the owner for me. As busy as Serge is, we made a good connection, had a little conversation regarding the issue, and made a plan. I was able to communicate via text with him which made things all the better. Brought the car in and of course, BabyBenz did not feel like duplicating the problem. Serge ran a diagnostic, did a little research, gave me his hypothesis and the cost possibility range, but wanted to test it to make sure. He had me cruise around for a couple of days in order for it to duplicate and when it did, I drove over straight away. Got a ride home from them and did my thing for a few hours. Serge called later on telling me the issue was as hypothesized. Another reason I am good with this shop is that you can verify the issue by looking at it. Serge showed me the relay issue so I could verify it. Had them do an oil change as well, it was a little over $200 to have the cabin air filter replaced with the oil service. I opted to replace it myself and saved a little chunk of cheddar; you know that those kinda of things are a given at a repair shop, plus you can always do that stuff yourself anyway. Conclusion: spot on, if not more, competitive pricing, communication, service level, shop cleanliness and results. Thank you Serge. I have high praise for this shop. They treat all vehicles brought to them with high degree of care. I brought in my fun/daily 2005 C55 with 173K miles on it. My check engine for Secondary pump camp up and after replacing the pump the check engine light came on again. They took the car back with no hesitation and diagnosed the issue coming from the engine ECU. Other shops at this point would say to replace the ECU which is roughly a $2k part, instead Serge went the extra mile to diagnose the pin in the ECU was the issue and fixed it. It's no secret that Mercedes Benz vehicles require extensive knowledge, precision skills, and highly trained technicians to maintain and repair. This is EXACTLY what I found with Serge over at BenzWorks. I have heavily modified AMG GTS, which isn't your average Mercedes. It had a steering vibration at 80+ mph, making it a little more tricky to diagnose. After taking it to a couple other shops and not being able to figure it out, I was referred to BenzWorks. Benzworks and Serge are one of a kind. In 2013 we heard about Benzworks through friends. We just needed a minor service for an SL600 RennTech, but thought we should "do more." Serge recommended to not spend the extra money and treated us as if we were spending big money. The work was excellent. A couple years later, we needed a major service on the 600. Serge once again saved us money by working hard to keep costs down and educated us on what wasn't needed. That service was excellent as well. Then recently we upgraded to an SL65 AMG. We basically gave Serge a blank check to do high performance work; from suspension, gears to motor. He once again spent our money as if it was his own, but he also built us the most amazing SL65 we've ever heard and seen -- and we have seen plenty of tuned 65s. This thing is far beyond our expectations. We just realized Benworks does a lot of exotics too, and we plan to have Serge work on our exotics as well. OFFICIALLY A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE!!!! I own 2 Mercedes both PHEV and I've been to a few different Benz dealerships usually when I am unable to perform a service myself so I tend to explain what I have done so far and see what advice is given, with my experience they usually want you to come in and pay $300+ for a diagnostic. I didn't want to pay that since I knew what the issues were but they always insisted on doing the diagnostics first then any service, but here at BenzWorks I was introduced to Carlos and Serg who are honest and willing to give advice based on what you provide them even if that means not bringing it in! This is one of the cleanest service garages I have ever been to almost Operating Room level. I came in for a couple different services after I installed a new air compressor for my wife's C350e I had to get it recalibrated and found out it also needed a new fuse as well, and most recently my EV mode on my GLE550e was not kicking in after changing an AUX battery and was told that I probably need to change the starter battery which I did at BenzWorks. After having either car evaluated Lauren at the front desk contacted me no more than an hour after dropping off the car and informed me of the service as well as the price, which was much better than the dealership not to mention it included a warranty as well. All in all I have no reason to go to the dealership anymore with these guys providing honest to God SUPERIOR SERVICE! read more

I recently moved to HB and was looking for a reputable Benz shop for my vehicle and reading the great reviews for BenzWorks I brought my vehicle in for inspection and estimate for repairs.Place was very clean, Lauren was great at front desk and they had a lot of high end cars in for service so I left my car with them and awaited next steps. BenzWorks gave me a very high estimate and I quesitoned if the vehicles issues were that serious, so I brought it back to the shop who had serviced my car before I moved to HB, to get a second opinion. My old shop showed me the issue and gave me a much lower estimate and none of the repairs required were what BenzWorks quoted me for. I have been driving my car for several weeks after the repairs, no issues so I am confident my old shop performed the work necessary for repairs.
