I used to like this vet but they have gone corporate and they do not care about animals. All they care about is money. My cat had been a patient there since he was a kitten and back in March 2025 he had trouble breathing and instead of helping him to see what was wrong they said go to urgent care they are not equipped to help him. It says on their website that they help all animals in their care. That is a bold face lie. Do not bring your fur babies here!!!! If I could I would give this place a zero star review. read more

Relocated to Arkansas. Using a vet for my 5 critters close to HSV. Sooo unhappy. Made the break and found correct diagnosis and palliative care IMMEDIATELY! So thoughtful, so careful and caring. Had to bring my new baby (Exotic Pocket Bully) in for an injury all the staff was including the receptionist who answered my frantic call were amazing. They got us in super quick and All the ladies were super friendly and patient with me and my large baby. I've been coming here for a while now with my other dog as well so it was a no brainer to bring my new baby in. The Vet who saw my dog was super nice and she explained what was going on with him and answered all of my questions and calmly explained the after care as well. Staff and the vet even offered him many treats because he's just the sweetest big boy ever. Thanks to everyone there keep up the amazing work ! read more

I do not recommend Benton Veterinary Hospital in Benton, AR. The vet/part-owner was rude and condescending. I made an appt. online but their computer had a glitch. She assumed I was a walk-in and basically said she was "doing me a favor" by even seeing my very sick dog. I've been a client there for over 10 years. I have moved by business elsewhere. I have an english lop rabbit and my exotic vet left the practice to open her own. I've been using her for years, but apparently BVH wasn't happy that she chose to open her own practice, so when I called for an appointment with her all that I got was that she's no longer with us. No vet will even clip a rabbit's toenails except an exotic vet, so I asked where she went and they refused to tell me, in spite of the fact that they have no exotic vet to help me. Apparently she was not allowed to take her patient's files with her either. Basically this tells me that BVH cares nothing for their patients welfare if they themselves can't make the buck for their care. So petty. read more

Terrible. I made an appointment my 2 cats and 2 dogs. I made this appointment a week in advance for the very first appointment time (8:00am) of the day to avoid "running behind" that's normal for an scheduled work at times. I was assured that I would be out of there in a hours time. 2 people were in the waiting room when we arrived. The woman I was trying to check in with, was blatantly rude, and obviously clueless on what her job responsibilities were. We took our seat and waited. More people had come in with appointments and others came in as walk-ins. At 8:50 when everyone that was before us and everyone that came in after us had been called back or they were being called back and were already gone. We loaded our 4 fur babies up and walked out. WORST experience I had ever had. I was in disbelief! read more

I have 3 dogs that have been seen at this "clinic" for years. Until today the visits were just for normal shots, etc. This morning, one of my dogs had an allergic reaction. Her face and throat were swollen making her struggle to breathe. I rushed her to our vet, Benton Veterinary Hospital since this happened during their regular hours. The receptionist told me she had no appointments available and that I would have to go to Little Rock. When I told her that this was an emergency and that I didn't think my dog would make it to Little Rock she said there was nothing else she could tell me, just go to Little Rock. I left with my dog gasping for breath. We made it to the Little Rock ER where my dog is still recovering. So much for having a vet that takes care of your pets in their time of need! Find a new vet.....before you need this ones help. read more

I live in Little Rock and take my dogs to a vet here for normal shots and services, but I take my dogs to Benton Veterinary Hospital for anything beyond that. The owner is a vet and came highly recommended to me by several people as just an amazing vet. (THE REST IS LENGTHY, but should be a CAUTIONARY STORY for anyone who loves their pets.) I came to search for an EXCELLENT Vet after a very tragic boarding experience where my dog was bitten while there and I was out of state. It upset me and they called and said he had to have several stitches but he would be ok. I believed them and thought he would ok bc "he was at the vet."... I came home and got him on a Saturday and within an hour could tell he was not well. Took him to the Emergency Vet where they quickly determined he was "toxic" and after a night of pumping him full of meds he was was just too far gone when I'd gotten him there. He did NOT receive the proper care while there and I was away and I just didn't know it. I "trusted blindly" because it was a vets office. So my lesson learned was, as with our own doctors, we want to seek out the most experienced and best in their field. The main vet (and owner) at Benton Veterinary Hospital is that vetted person. I have taken 3 dogs there since for various procedures and surgery's and they came out perfectly. Just perfect outcomes and healing very quickly. The vet clinic itself is always clean and it's very open. You get addressed quickly and friendly and you go back and meet with the vet. I have never been pushed anything extra or that I thought was just trying to sell me more. They are busy and they are good, but they are not too busy to take good care of your pets need. I just needed someone who was wonderful at their job and knows how to handle all ways a situation can go, and the owner of that clinic is exactly that. I look at them as my vets Dr. and the vet here in LR as my pet's nurse. read more
