I visited Olde Good Things (Scranton) on 8/23/25 looking for old copper gutters. Kevin informed me that at that very time they were disassembling building materials from the State Psychiatric hospital in Harrisburg and showed me photos of the gutters. I agreed they would be perfect and provided him with a materials requirements list. I also asked him for pricing in order to determine how much material to purchase since my project had both essential and optional components. On 8/27 Kevin quoted me "This gauge is heavy vs what's used today - $12.50 per ft on gutters" and "Downspouts $9 a ft" telling me that I could pick them up on 8/30/25 between "Oh 11 - 11:30". When I arrive I find that the gutters have been put out for me but not the downspouts. Kevin remarks "uh there's a problem with the downspouts" but doesn't elaborate while also commenting "I should have quoted you more for the gutters." He takes me to a place in the building where some of the materials for me had been placed but not brought out including 90-degree gutter corners, gutter clips and a host of downspouts. I collect what I need and find Kevin to settle up. At that point he tells me "I'll have to charge you 5 times the cost for those downspouts because they have the green patina we use for other projects". But he says that he's returning to the job site in the following week and will find other downspouts. I assure him I'm interested texting him at Saturday 12:21 "Kevin, if you are able to get me 26' of downspouts and about 20 of the metal clips at the end of the gutter holders then I can make this work. Text me and I'll come pick up the stuff. Thank you" Thrice in the course of the week I text him asking how it is going and assuring him that I'm interested in purchasing. He never responds. Finally on 9/6 I text him "Kevin, it's been a week. Are we still trying to do business together or have you moved on? I'd appreciate the courtesy of a reply. Thank you." To which he responds "Not at this time - if I go back to site I let u know - other gutter material sold." When I query him about this behavour and point out that I'd wasted 1.5 hours driving to his business and another 1.5 hours sorting materials, somehow it all becomes my fault with him texting me "no one to blame but yourself." Neither professional, nor ethical, nor good customer service! Buyer beware. I'll never do business with Kevin and this rip off company again. - Markus Robinson, Tunkhannock, PA.

We stayed on the main floor (not enough time) so there could be even more floors, who knows. Staff were wearing masks, no sanitizing in between people or the pens we used to sign but there is hand sanitizer at the pick up counter. There are public restrooms on the main floor. Many vendor booths with actual antiques, memorabilia, vintage jewelry, kitchenware, tools, comic books, records, train stuff (lots of O scale) - definitely something for everyone. There was also a room of cases and cases in other spots too. We bought several comic books, a vintage pin, a Hess truck, an HO train car, a book (100 yrs old) and a few other things. We definitely needed more time and will be back.

Unfortunately, as much as I tried they fell flat for me. I feel like it's someone's unorganized storage of ebay listings...and it could very well be. I don't think they know what they have in there and nothing appears to have any kind of organization with the exception of Christmas and artwork. I found a piece of artwork I did like, but was deferred by the prices (ebay prices, higher than thrift, more in line with an antique store) and the fact that it was stored so unresponsibly that it was damaged. I was greeted upon entry, so the staff (owners? who sit in a little room off the entrance door) were friendly. Everything else was a miss, from the lack of cleanliness, high prices, weird configuration of the parking, weak floorboards upstairs, and just the fact that the majority of what they sell is high for item and condition. Most items did have condition issues, with the exception of some newer (Target?) items on the first floor which were priced at retail. I suspect they came from a pallet purchase. If you're looking for deals there's much better places in the area.

Summer 2024 I have…read morealways enjoyed Studio 895 but lately the last several times I've been there haven't found anything. I know it's hit and miss with any antique type of a place. The store was reconfigured and it looks nice except for my favorite area is gone- the smaller area that had a cart of low priced random items and lots of bargain priced antiques called "salvage". There is a new space called "salvage"- but it's primarily doors and pieces of wood- minus the best part to me-low priced antiques. I asked about this and was told that those items are now sprinkled in the store (I hadn't seen any upon my last few trips) Many of the vendors I liked are gone too. I think the biggest disappointment to me was 2024 almost monthly promotion of a "flea market". I was really excited to check that out! I had expected vendors to be set up in the parking lot- there were cars even parked along the shoulder of 895. You can imagine my surprise when not one vendor was set up and the parking lot was vacant. I felt like that was a bait and switch type thing and it made me fall out of love (I hope only temporarily) with Studio 895. I don't think healthy businesses need to do that. I'm not saying I would never go back but this is why I have not been there and why I have discontinued bringing my friends here and meeting up here. The staff has always been helpful and friendly in the past. I look forward to going back sometime and elevating my review. I hate writing unfavorable reviews but- I also need to be honest. The fake flea market made me feel duped and I had been tricked into wasting my precious weekend time. Maybe something happened that I was not aware of.
