Cool place, overpriced oddities, barely any parking, still fun to go look around, I bought a couple tee shirts just because I'm not from the area and wanted a souvenir, but expect tourist prices for things. The range of their menu wasn't that big, a few things but none of them sounded appetizing, so just went to buy some things from the store, they do have a tattoo place in the back, had no idea that was there, as there were no signs in plain sight about it. Overall a cute place for people who like dark macabre things, but not worth it if you're traveling for just this place. read more

This place is always on my To Stop list when I'm heading into or through Pennsylvania. The coffee shop inside is so fun and delicious, and the items for sale always spark my curiosity! Last time, I got the monthly latte, the Whomping Waffle, from Strange Brew, and a graphic novel about Oregon's haunted sites. I moved out of the area but if I get back to Pennsylvania, I'll always make the stop. read more

It's more of a museum at the prices. Not many parking spots and many don't know how to park in the spots making it worse.

If you want a tour if marilyn masons house this is the place. Lots of dead animals etc. Not my cup of tea but the clove cigarette, black and purple hair, my chemical romance crowd would love it. All kidding aside, if this is your thing, this is your place. read more

My wife and I have visited numerous times over the last few years. We travel from Hbg and are often in town to see a show. We went there today, 3/16/24 (or anniversary) and we were SHOCKED! The decorations have been trimmed down, broken, moved or generally missing. There used to be trinkets, baubles and stuff to buy which we always did...this time - nothing. No critters in lexan, no butterfly display boxes, no little things to pick up and pay for. The shop was somber and looked decimated. It was the most depressing visit we have ever made to this destination location. For the first time EVER, we walked in and walked out empty-handed within 10 minutes. They are asking $40 for a beanie hat and $50 for a sweatshirt now. Besides very over-priced clothing, there is nothing more to see at this shop. I'm not writing this to be negative, but I am writing this as it seems to be the end of an era that my wife and I incorporated in to our lives. I wish the store well in the future. My wife and I each own multiple shirts and a couple of sweat shirts from the store. We still speak highly of the experience, but do so with less confidence after today. read more

This place is really cool to explore if you're into spooky things. It's like visiting a museum. Place is small, but absolutely packed full! I was happy to see they added a Halloween themed part to the shop in the back. It is a cool addition, I snagged a few goodies from there this visit. They even have a cute little café now that's Harry Potter themed. The "portraits" on the walls were fun to watch! read more

This is my go to ! Whenever I have family in town , I bring them here. Great lattes & the atmosphere in there is "strange and unusua" BUT wowwww looking at all those cool antiques is my fav part. Love going during the fall as well because it just sets the mood lol but definitely recommend. The staff are amazing and sweet & it isn't too expensive in there !! read more

I visited two weeks ago while on a trip to the Pocono area after seeing it advertised in a tourist pamphlet. The store looks large from the outside, but when you go in there is much less than expected. I love weird things and they definitely had a bunch, but for the hour's ride my boyfriend and I took there, it was underwhelming. I would really only bother to visit if you're in the area and/or actually have intent to buy something rather than just browse. I would like to say also that they do have their own little cafe inside and it is quite cute! They had a few skeletons set up on one of the seats as if they were dining next to us. I ordered the Unicorn Blood, and although pretty (it had glitter), it didn't taste like cupcake, as the board suggested. My boyfriend ordered the Butterbeer and that however was delicious! read more

Randomly stopped in yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. Such a cool place with a wide range of t-shirts, jewelry, oddities, and all around cool stuff. There's also a coffee shop to the right as you walk in and I had a large butter beer. The barista who made my drink was an absolute gem! The pictures don't do it justice. read more

This place is amazing if you love the strange and unusual like myself. You can find anything from taxidermy to lights made out of human bones. After collecting you special treasures you can stop at steamy hollows for the most delicious cup of coffee I have ever had! read more

I am a sucker for unique & pretty lattes! I've loved every drink that I've tried here so far!! On our most recent stop I tried the Jack-O-Latte, which was delicious! Truly an awesome experience. The perfect mix of macabre and classy. The girl working today was super helpful and friendly. I was definately glad this parlor come up on my Yelp suggestions because I wouldn't have wanted to miss this. This may not be up to everyone's tastes, but if you want to find something unique and maybe a little macabre, you gotta get there. BONUS. I went the perfect time of the year. The Strange and Unusual is hands down one of the best antique/oddities parlors I've ever been in! I am a repeat visitor. The drinks at the Steamy Hallows cafe Inside the parlor really puts the topping on the cake after my 3 hour drive from NYC to PA. The shelves are always stocked with amazing finds, I never walk out empty handed. The staff is beyond friendly, and the owner is a cool cat too :) You've got my recommendation! read more

I love it here. The staff is super helpful! I've been there twice and I plan on coming back! I bought a bat skull along with a beanie the first time I was there and I was so glad the skull had survived the 4 hour car ride home! I would recommend this place to anyone!
