Abysmal intake department. The experience was so negative…read more The intake dept. refused to book my husbands appt. with the specialist because they wanted to know what the diagnosis was. That was the entire reason we needed the specialist! My husbands primary care doc couldn't diagnose and urgent care couldn't figure it out; those doctors told my husband to see a specialist yet when we called to book with the specialist the intake refused to book the appt. because we didn't have a diagnosis and because we didn't have a referral. We just relocated to the area, so no referral. I've never had a worse experience with a medical institutions intake dept. OK, I wrote this review before my husband went in. He had a very positive experience with the specialist which is why I'm giving 3 stars. The specialist immediately identified the issue and provided a diagnosis & a prescription to treat it within the first 5 minutes of the appt. It took all of five minutes despite the fact it took over six weeks to convince the intake department to get an appt for his condition that my husband had been suffering with for four months that two other doctors couldn't figure out. Thank God it wasn't life-threatening, but I'm disappointed with this facilities intake and I will be reluctant to book here in the future although my husband had a very good experience with the doctor. Btw, we have high quality PPO insurance although we were so desperate we would've paid cash but apparently they don't take cash patients here either! Just strange and terribly inefficient. Non medical professional staff should not be gate keeping appts. The end.

Another 20 minute wait. May 2026 Imagining appointment rescheduled for 5 months later with no notification, called and nobody knows why. April 2026 Scheduled for a mammogram, undressed and in procedure room when they tell me they scheduled it too soon for insurance and come back next week. If you are considering surgery with Dr. Butler or anyone at Gulf Coast Plastic Surgery, I strongly…read moreencourage you to read this review carefully. I underwent a primary rhinoplasty with Dr. Butler in July 2024. During my consultation, I clearly stated my two main goals: reducing my dorsal hump and lifting or rotating the nasal tip. Dr. Butler told me that my tip angle was already appropriate and that reducing the dorsal hump would cause the tip to "fix itself." Although I questioned this explanation, I trusted his professional judgment and proceeded with surgery. From the early postoperative period, it was evident that something was wrong. Even with the cast still on, my nasal tip appeared droopy and unsupported. I also want to note that no taping or support was ever used postoperatively to help maintain tip position. I was repeatedly reassured that this was normal and advised to "give it time." At cast removal, the issue became more apparent. Although swelling masked some of the deformity, my tip remained rotated downward, consistent with a developing pollybeak deformity. I again raised concerns and was told that all swelling had "settled into the tip" from the cast and that there was nothing to worry about. Between two and three months post-op, after moving out of state, I sent multiple emails to Dr. Butler's nurse expressing concern about my collapsed, downward-drooping tip and a prominent bump at the tip of my nose that appeared to be protruding cartilage. These concerns were again dismissed and attributed to swelling due to my being "very active," and I was told I would need to wait until six months post-op for evaluation. At my six-month in-person appointment, my appearance had not improved and had, in fact, worsened. I raised my concerns directly with Dr. Butler regarding the obvious pollybeak deformity. His response was dismissive; he stated, "Someone's been online, haven't they," and told me that my nose looked great and that he "wouldn't have changed a thing." No revision, corrective plan, or financial accommodation was offered. Following this appointment, I consulted with three well-known U.S. revision rhinoplasty specialists, all of whom independently confirmed a clear pollybeak deformity, a droopy and under-rotated tip, and protruding cartilage irregularities. Ultimately, I required revision rhinoplasty at fifteen months post-op, at an additional cost of $15,000. Several months after my surgery, I reviewed the practice's website and was shocked to find my photos being used in a misleading manner. Although I signed a photo release, I did not consent to false or deceptive representation. The photo labeled as my "before" image is actually my six-month post-op result, while the photo labeled as my "after" image appears to be taken within the first month post-op, when swelling temporarily obscured the deformity. The website claims the "after" photo was taken at four months post-op, despite me not having a four-month appointment. If my nose truly "looked great," it is concerning that my unsatisfactory six-month result was used as a "before" image. I have attached screenshots and accurate before-and-after photos for reference. I reached out to the office to express my concerns regarding my postoperative care and the misleading use of my photos and received no response. I am sharing my experience so that others can make a fully informed decision and avoid the physical, emotional, and financial distress that I endured.

The provider is professional, caring, knowledgeable, and easily accessible. We were able to get all of our employees signed up for primary care services at an extremely affordable price. This service is perfect for a small locally owned business and for anyone who is uninsured or underinsured! I'm so glad that there's now a service in our community to help fill the huge gap that exists for those who can't afford insurance to have access to health care services. At first I think a lot will assume this is a gimmick, but I assure you after being in healthcare for ten years this is definitely not! I especially encourage any local small business owners to contact her and see what she can do to help offer your employees (or even yourself) some great affordable care

My annual exam was canceled with no reschedule date. All I received in the mail was a card in the mail canceling my exam. Shortly after, I became my late husband's caregiver until he passed away. Everything for me was put on hold until now. I needed to get back on track. I called the Women's Group to set up an appointment with Dr. Grammer. I was in their system and then was told I would be considered a "new" patient. The lady explained because I hadn't been there in such a long time I was considered new. I explained to her my health concerns, which by the way is clearly listed on their website. She stated, "Honey, we don't handle those kinds of issues, that would be something your primary care physician would handle." I asked her if they treated post menopausal women. She really couldn't answer that question. Honestly, I felt under valued, old and completely disregarded. I think once she heard Medicare that's when she started to put me in the ready for the nursing home box. I don't know if I will ever get the care I need and deserve here in the Gulf Coast, but I certainly won't consider The Women's Group.

I find out about appealing the denial by contacting my insurance provider. I am told by my insurance provider that the authorization staff has to submit the appeal on my behalf. (Good luck with that!) In addition, I have had procedures that I scheduled a month or two in advance cancelled by the staff a week before my procedure because they waited until then to tell me my referral is expired or incorrect. That's not enough notice to do anything about it. Why not tell me when I make the appointment? Why not tell me even a week after I make the appointment? It is cruel to me to wait for them to get their act together when I am in pain and need some relief. I have had to self pay for procedures due to their incompetence. No one should have to deal with this level of stress and stupidity. Everyone claims they "aren't the one" who talked to me on the phone or submitted the wrong codes or didn't see the expired referral. This is their job but there is no accountability on their part.
