Dr. Russell is a pulmonologist and primary physician and part of the South Baldwin Medical Group. His board certifications include: American Board of Internal Medicine Pulmonary Disease American Board of Internal Medicine, Sleep Medicine His office has relocated from his Foley office to 25908 Canal Rd Suite D, in Orange Beach inside the South Baldwin Medical Group Walk-in. Dr. Proctor reminds me of my mentor, Harrison Goldberg, from my Navy days. An older, thoughtful and wise man that has been practicing medicine from the decades when medicine was a very personal experience, but I digress. It's a modern, organized, and efficient front office with digital check-ins, text and email reminders, and telehealth options. First of all, they charged me $150 because they scheduled me with a doctor who doesnt take my insurance and wasn't Dr. proctor even after specifically asking for a proctor a month a prior due to my potential life threatening condition, they never refunded me my money like they said they would. Came in for an appointment a few days later and proctor got my name and asked me a few questions about my condition (which he completely disregarded even after telling him I've been to the ER 3x) told him about the antibiotic resistant virus I have that is known for its high mortality rate and asked if he'd recommend me to a infectious disease doctor, his response "if your feeling okay with the antibiotics they gave you from your last ER visit then you should be fine, if you have another incident just come to the ER here in orange beach so that I can access your records". I requested the care I know I need and he denied it, to which I'm currently coughing blood again. Had another appointment set for this month but had to cancel and tried to reschedule my appointment with his office and never heard back from them. I'm convinced the medical institution wants to see us die and doesn't mind making a dollar off us in the process. Know it all doctors don't care about your needs, just the paycheck they get from your insurance company. Safe to say this doctor is one. Word of advice to proctor, google exist and will teach anyone-anything they need to know with a few sources and time and research, someone like me who's been dealing with what I have for more than 2 years can probably tell you more about my condition than you already know. So don't treat people like they are naive or don't know better. The unprofessionalism is beyond anything I expected for such a highly recommended "doctor". read more

We ended up calling over to AFC they said they were more than capable of treating me so I went over there. I was in and out in an hour with a prescription for topical and oral medicine. After 18 hours on meds my face is already looking better. Highly recommend them !!!!

I was told to get all of my medical records from my previous doctor concerning a particular blood count which is deficient without medication. So I provided the paperwork and they said insurance wouldn't accept it. This doctor ordered new blood work which was much worse than my previous diagnosis. Still can't get my prescription. Insurance said this office withdrew their prior authorization (PA) for the medication I was sent to have bloodwork for to prove that I needed the medication. I've had multiple visits, paid multiple copays, insurance has paid them and I still cannot get my medication. Someone is either lying or incompetent. I've never been to a "professional" office that is run so poorly. It's been over 8 months and I still don't have my medication and the staff seems to find my suffering comical. So far the only staff I have been able to speak with is the receptionist who has no interest in helping me. I came yesterday and of course no one was there except her to speak with. I was told the person I needed to see would be back this morning, so I'm back this morning and have been sitting here for over an hour and still no one to speak with although I've seen the staff member who ordered my bloodwork walk by the door. No one here will speak to me although they have been compensated multiple times. What do they call it when a doctor bills insurance but doesn't provide the service but they keep charging you and insurance for visits without following through with the service? The photo is a constant reminder of my level of care at this office.

In my sad (pathetic) desperation I sought the miracle cure to this hangover from hell... enter this place and the angels that work here. No appointment needed and they gave me a great deal for an IV drip coming to $125 (with a coupon) and had some pure oxygen added to! The procedure was very professional and almost spa like. I was a tad nervous at first but the kind woman who helped me put me right at ease and once we got started my worries washed away. Within 20 mins (takes about an hour for the full drip) I was feeling amazing and so much better. Honestly I would come back here once a week if I could, this stuff works as it pumps you full of vitamins and hydrates you.
