She indicated who the appraiser would be, Ryan, and gave a brief description of what Ryan would be doing once he was at my home. Sarah stated the pricing clearly and the form of payments accepted. I was pleasantly surprised, that the appointment was only a few days out! Sarah explained, that once Ryan finished at the home, it would be about 48 -72 hours to receive the finished report. Ryan arrived at my home just a bit earlier than the stated time frame. (Okay by me) he was friendly, professional and ready to work! Ryan worked his way from the outside to the inside, measuring and snapping photos. When finished he briefly explained what to expect next. I contacted George (owner of Advantage Appraisals) to check cost, turn time, etc. George promptly returned my call, quoted me a reasonable cost/turn time, and asked for details of the property. He did a great job walking me through the process and answering my questions. When I received the appraisal, I appreciated all of the notes and analysis he included. He also communicated well through email and he made it easy for me to pay him. When managing an estate, you have to deal with all sorts of contractors, inspectors, advisors, etc. and George was by far the easiest to work with. Through research done in June 2021, I found Cody Thomson and felt respected by his timely response to my subsequent inquiry concerning his credential. Though I was deeply impressed by his written credential, I was unable to hire Mr Thomson due to relentless delays in my divorce initiated in Sep 2020 , delays associated with allegations against me. So communication with Cody Thomson had ceased till March 2023 when I contacted Mr Thomson again right after my realization of my chance to potentially hire him. Mr Thomson agreed to call me. During my phone conversation, Mr Thomson explained to me how professional appraisers ensure fair evaluatation of divorce-relalated properties, when one property owner i s likely absent. I must state that Mr Thomson was incrediblly kind and analytical and his explanation to me concering fair house evaluation was filled with funny metaphors!! After Mr Thomson's agreement to evaluation of my marital residence, I informed my attorny of selection of Cody Thomson. On March 21, 2023, I informed Mr Thomspon that the court has ordered him to appraise my marital residence. I subsequently requested that my attorney faciitate Mr Thomson's communication with my soon-to-be ex for his evaluation. I thought I would have to meet Mr Thomson prior to his evaluation and likely wait for many more months prior to his actual evaluation. ... To my surprise, on March 29 2023, Mr Thomson informed me of his completion of house evaluation on the same day and the availability of his report no later than April 4, 2023. On the morning of April 4, 2023, I wondered if Mr Thomson would send my attorney and myself his report, as he promised. On the early afternoon of Apr il 4, 2023, I got his report , the structured analyses in which are truly amazing. Our contract with Fidelity stated that the sale would include artwork. It did not specify oil paintings. We did ask Fidelity to auction artwork, and all the artwork we wanted to offer for sale was photographed weeks ahead of the auction by Fidelity's employees or agents. To be clear: WE DID NOT ALLOW FIDELITY TO PHOTOGRAPH FOR THE AUCTION ANY ORIGINAL OIL PAINTINGS OR ADVERTISE THEM FOR SALE ON THEIR WEBSITE. In his reply to my original review, Bo claims that "The day before the auction [my family] removed $20,000 in artwork and now you are upset because we charged you a commission to do that but that's exactly what the contract allows us to do." First of all, it's quite a shock to read that we owned artwork worth $20,000, because that's not what Bo told us at the time. He gave us a much more modest assessment of the paintings' value. Second, regardless of the worth of the paintings, that is not what happened. I don't know if Bo's memory is so poor that he cannot recall the events of his sale with us, if he is so lazy that he did not bother to check the facts, or if he is sufficiently deficient in honesty that he doesn't care about the facts. But his account is wrong. Bo knew that the oil paintings would not be for sale. We had a Zoom meeting with him and Kelsee more than three weeks before the auction in which he tried to persuade us to let Fidelity sell the oil paintings and our father's home; thank God we never seriously entertained the idea of letting him sell the house. But we told him immediately after the Zoom meeting that we had decided against selling the oil paintings. When Bo originally talked to us about the paintings, he wanted to have an online auction, so that people all over the world could bid on them. But that never happened, because we told them weeks ahead of time that the oil paintings would not be included. Again, to be clear: WE DID NOT ALLOW FIDELITY TO PHOTOGRAPH FOR THE AUCTION ANY ORIGINAL OIL PAINTINGS OR ADVERTISE THEM FOR SALE ON THEIR WEBSITE. You cannot believe anything Bo says. He whines that he "had buyers from all around Arizona and other states drive-in for those paintings.... When they arrived, they were very upset with us as an Auction firm.... You affected our reputation that day big time." But if Bo had people traveling from out of state to bid on items we told Bo were not for sale and did not let Fidelity photograph or advertise for the auction, well, that sounds very suspect to me. It is by no means our fault if Bo advertised for sale things he knew would NOT be for sale. We did not affect his reputation--HE did. If people were upset with him that day, it is entirely his fault. Bo won in our lawsuit against Fidelity not because the contract let him charge a commission (the judge agreed that it was a very badly written contract and did not redound to Bo's favor) but because, as I stated before, at the hearing, the judge allowed one and only one witness to speak: Bo's partner Kelsee Wirtjes. Please read my original review to see what happened next. In the time since I posted my original review, Fidelity has received two more five-star reviews, but three more one-star reviews. Their previously poor rating is even worse now--and it's entirely their own fault. The crucial point remains the one with which I concluded my original review: Why would you hire an estate sale company who is so disliked by most people who have hired it? Learn from our mistakes. Stay away from Bo Patrick. Don't believe his unctuous denials. However much he tries to shift the blame for his bad reviews to the people foolish enough to hire him, the fact nonetheless remains that most people who hire him to run an estate sale are extremely unhappy with his services.

He laughed when I said I had a large piece to ship, as the size of my painting is considered small compared to what he normally sends out (he also has a pretty good sense of humor). Fridge/freezer now looks up to date and is beautiful. Another two years down the road, our unit was making noises. The son-in-law stopped by and discovered there was a clogged line which he cleared and the problem was resolved. We couldn't be more pleased with this company.
