Instead of ordering the usual rolls, I ordered each one of their specialty rolls which came in 4 pieces which was great since that meant I got to try more varieties! All the rolls were mouth watering satisfying! I loved the black seasame panna cotta dessert too. Not too sweet. I highly recommend this restaurant for the ambience and quality of food. The first time I went there was in 2009 on the recommendation of a friend who used to have a Japanese restaurant. With job changes, going back to school, and plunging headfirst into a turbulent new career with multiple job changes, I never got back there until 2022. And guess what? They remembered me! The staff is genuinely friendly. They remember what I like, and a few times I've described dishes that weren't on the menu--and they made them perfectly. They actually listen, and that level of care is rare. The wine and beer selection fits my tastes really well, which is a nice bonus. Every time I visit, the atmosphere is happy and relaxed. I often see other customers come in and get greeted like old friends, and it's clear this place means something to a lot of people. It's not just a meal--it's a place that lifts your mood. Okura has become one of my favorite spots. Friendly people, great food, and a warm, welcoming vibe every time.

Unfortunately, the service and appearance of the food left a lot to be desired. I had a 2:30 reservation for nine family members. Most of us barely ate anything. We had to look for someone to serve coffee and beverages and we were forced to put our dirty plates at the end of our table or put them on another table as the weren't removing them in a timely manner. Going forward I will not plan any family gatherings on holidays at your restaurant. Serving the masses really cuts back on the quality of your service and food We were very disappointed.
