Driving through Kimball feels like traveling back in time, long before technology and division took over this country. Unfortunately the town was left heavily damaged after two major floods a couple decades ago and a small community is all that's left. Imagine my surprise finding a Greek restaurant in that environment. When you walk inside, it hardly looks like a restaurant, but you are immediately greeted by some of the nicest people you will ever meet. The owner has been in this town and in this building her whole life and her parents were as well. There is so much history in these walls and she loves to talk about it. I could spend an afternoon just hearing about the life of this small town and how they are fighting for its recovery. As for the food, in a word: unremarkable. It was tasty and prepared well, but nothing you'll remember the day after. Prices seemed high but I imagine the overhead in this small of a town makes that unavoidable. My 5 stars are really for the people. I'd give the food/ambiance 3/5, but the people really make it a diamond in the rough. It's the only option in town anyways, but even if there were others I'd still say stop here to talk for a while!

Located inside the Bolling Wilson hotel on the ground floor, in the front left corner of the building as you walk in from the street front. An updated traditional small interior, with lots of seating outside both on the porch and side patio. We were greeted walking in and opted to sit on the front porch since it was a nice afternoon the day of our visit. Service is professional, kind and attentive. Our server was prompt with our drink orders, appetizer and entrees, and checked on us enough without being overly intrusive. We enjoyed a leisurely meal in a beautiful setting. Starting with the Griddled Focaccia eith balsamic reduction drizzle. A great starter, simple, well prepared and delicious. I opted for the Mustard grilled Pork Chop with a Devils backbone Lager. The chop was nicely prepared but a little overcooked (dry) not bad but still overcooked. Good flavor and a nice presentation, however it was dry which made it tough to cut. The flavor and the sauce made it palatable though, just wish it had been tender and not dry. 4 Stars - All in all, still a decent meal with great service in a nice comfortable locale. 01236
