During a recent furnace inspection we were told that our hot water heater needed replacing. Their…read morequote was $3,200 which seemed high to me. Got a second quote from Honest Abe and they were in the same ball park. Got a recommendation to get one more estimate from Danny at Ably Plumbing. He did the job for about half of what the others were quoting. On top of that he was very responsive, arriving when he said he would and following through on everything. He will be our plumber going forward!

After changing the gas control valve and igniter assembly, the water heater is working as it should. Everyone at the company is professional and pleasant to deal with. Something you can't say about most service oriented businesses these days. They even pro-rated the time and did not charge some additional time used for getting parts, phone calls, etc. Definitely use them if you are in the Baltimore/ Carroll County area. Good, honest, professional people. Reasonable fees.

Michael is truly an expert! He's been to our home several times this year, and we specifically…read morerequested him because we trust his knowledge and advice. When we discovered water leaking through a recessed light, I was convinced the roof was leaking. Michael immediately diagnosed the real problem in less then five minutes, which was a leak in our water line. He fixed it quickly with his assistant who knew every tool Micheal needed ahead of time, and the price was reasonable. He neatly cut out 2 - 14x14 pieces in our ceiling and told us to purchase access panels until we could replace ceiling. He's incredibly knowledgeable, honest, kind, and professional! We highly recommend Michael to anyone looking for an outstanding Master Plumber!

I was told someone could be here between 4-5. Steven arrived a little after 4:00. He was awesome. He didn't try to sell me something we didn't need. That alone is worth five stars. I know nothing about sump pumps and he could've taken advantage of that, but he didn't. He pulled a handful of debris out of the well where the pump is located. Dryer sheets, a Lego man, plastic flossers for teeth, a bottle cap. That is what was causing the loud noises. The cost was extremely fair, and had I not called it would've ended up needing replacing because of the stuff blocking the sump pump. He saved us a lot of money. I would absolutely use them again.

Main issue was very weak water pressure from one of the showers. They "fixed" the issue but forgot…read moreto turn the hot water back on. Then came back to "fix" what they'd neglected to do (their bad) and charged another $150 for a 30 min visit which they claimed was from a faulty part in the water heater which they also claimed we would need to replace within a year. They say that we were lucky the water heater lasted us 16 yrs when most only last 10-12 years. Really? Is that why the water heater at the house we lived in before lasted 50 years+ without ever needing to be replaced? Guess we were just "lucky"--maybe this is a sign that I should play the lottery. He had a very tenuous relationship with the truth as he said he checked the water and the heat worked on his first visit which was a load of BS because he never did. Then this time there wasn't warm water and he even said we'd need to run the water for 20-30 mins for the heat to kick in bc the water heater was big. Funny, I don't seem to recall him running the water for more than 30 seconds on his first visit--all he confirmed then was that the pressure was stronger than before!

After the initial quote, it was difficult to get a hold of Steve to move forward, and the onboarding process was never completed. A major pain point was the answering service: every time I called to follow up and couldn't reach him directly, I had to re-explain the project from scratch. After several weeks of limited progress and unreturned calls, we ultimately had to go with another provider. It's unfortunate, as the potential is there, but the lack of communication and operational continuity made it impossible to complete the project.
