As a single mother who recently moved to the Atlanta area, finding a trustworthy primary care physician was one of my biggest concerns. From our very first interaction, the staff at Ethnē Health has been responsive, professional, organized, and genuinely compassionate. As a new patient, the initial appointment took about a month to schedule, which is understandable for a busy and highly regarded primary care clinic. Once I became an established patient, however, scheduling follow-up care has been quick and efficient. When I came in with concerning symptoms, what stood out immediately was that Dr. Guiles truly listened and took my concerns seriously. I have a complex medical condition, and he quickly recognized that something serious could be going on. He knew exactly which diagnostic lab tests needed to be ordered, and having lab work drawn on site made the process seamless and efficient. What impressed me most was his follow-up. Dr. Guiles personally called me with my lab results in less than 48 hours and clearly explained the next steps and treatment plan. His attentiveness, medical knowledge, and quick response very likely saved my life. Because of his quick action, I'm still here for my daughters. As a mother, that means everything to me. My daughters depend on me, and knowing that a physician took my concerns seriously and acted quickly is something I will always be deeply grateful for. As a parent, that kind of responsiveness and care provides an incredible sense of security. Dr. Guiles also coordinated a specialist referral, and thanks to his office I was able to schedule and be seen within two days. That specialist team has also been excellent and collaborative, which speaks to how well Ethnē Health supports coordinated patient care. In addition to excellent medical care for complex conditions, the practice also provides thoughtful support for ADHD evaluation and treatment, which has been incredibly helpful for our family. Having a primary care doctor who understands both physical health and ADHD care makes a huge difference for families with teenagers. It is rare to find a primary care doctor and medical clinic that combine clinical expertise with such genuine compassion. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found Dr. Guiles and the entire Ethnē Health team, and I feel confident that my family is receiving the very best care. If you are looking for a knowledgeable, responsive, and compassionate primary care physician in the Atlanta area, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Guiles and Ethnē Health. Services received: primary care visit, diagnostic lab testing, on-site lab work, ADHD care, specialist referral coordination, and follow-up care.

Unfortunately, this time the experience was completely different. When I needed to cancel my appointment in advance, I was unable to reach anyone despite multiple attempts. The phone number provided in their text messages did not work, and when I found another number online, no one answered. The automated system claimed to allow voicemail, but instead disconnected the call without letting me leave a message. This level of disorganization and lack of communication is unacceptable for a healthcare provider. Patients should not be at risk of fees or penalties simply because an office is unreachable. It's disappointing to see such a decline in professionalism, especially after a positive prior visit.

UPDATED REVIEW - 10/16/2020 - BELOW…read more Customer Service: Customer service is poor. The staff are nice and friendly in the office, but are almost impossible to reach by phone. They rarely return phone calls. Physician: Dr. Waters no longer sees my family member, she passed my family member off to a Nurse Practitioner, the NP is professional and friendly and so far I haven't had any issues with her care, but she isn't a MD. Office: Office is not too small and nothing special. The last time I went inside the television was off? I'm not sure if they had enough money to purchase Netflix, Hulu or Cable? Parking: Parking area is sufficient, but the office has moved into an area that is not as nice as her previous office. Additional: Dr. Water's office nickels and dimes the patients now. I'm not sure if it's because she's hurting financially (see TV comment above) or what the reason is, but my family member went to a scheduled appointment and asked them to fill out a form for work; they wanted to charge an extra $25 fee to fill out a paper for her job. That should be part of the office visit. I consider that unacceptable and very poor customer service. This medical office has gone from being one of the best in Atlanta to being just like all the others, not very good. Summary: Overall, because it's almost impossible to get anyone on the phone or get return phone calls, because they want to nickel and dime you for every single thing and because they have to send patients out for many things now, I would definitely not suggest Dr. Waters anymore. Perhaps if she addresses these problems and returns to the way she did business before I would change my review, but as of now I can't recommend her to anyone. Pros: 1. Parking is never an issue Cons: 1. Very difficult to reach anyone by phone. 2. Nickel and dimes patients now 3. No longer able to do lab work at office because LabCorp will not send Phlebotomists to office d/t Covid and office staff very inexperienced with drawing blood. (Costing MORE for the patient) 4. Sends out patients because they don't have proper equipment or the experience to perform basic exams or obtain diagnostics. (Costing MORE for the patient) "F" as of this review. Let's hope they improve. UPDATED REVIEW - 10/16/2020 - ABOVE

I really loved the location of this office. I initially started off being a patient of Dr. Moore-…read moreWaters and ended up being a patient of Dr. D'Souza's due to needing an emergency appointment one time. Let me just say thank God they didn't have the "you-can't-see-a- different-physician-in-our-practice" policy like another medical practice I used to go to. Both Dr Moore-Waters and Dr. D'Souza are great doctors, hands down!! Absolutely no complaints there. Very thorough, friendly and very informative. It's hard to find great physicians like them these days. Now here comes the minor negative.....and I really mean minor negative.... No x-ray facility so if you needed a chest or spinal x-ray, you'd have to trek to Dekalb Medical Center. The clerical staff seemed absent minded at times. I'd call to ask a question and get transferred around sometimes. It wasn't a constant thing but it certainly happened here and there and was frustrating. Now here is why I've taken a one star deduction. I called to make an appointment last month and not only was I informed Dr. D'Souza was no longer with the practice but I was also informed the practice had moved to Tucker, GA. I was shocked because I wasn't notified about any of this and really felt left out in the cold. At this point I feel like I'm at a crossroads. Tucker is not terribly far but I feel like the carpet has been pulled out from under me. I have more questions than answers and I'm not sure what has happened because Dr. Moore-Waters hadn't been at that particular location very long. For years she was next door to Ace Hardware on Scott Blvd but none the less, she's been in Decatur for years. Maybe I'll never know and maybe it's none of my business but I do feel a bit neglected by not being informed. Either way, it doesn't diminish Dr. Moore-Waters' and Dr. D'Souza's expertise as physicians

She took the time to fully understand my symptoms, and ran tests that ultimately uncovered an autoimmune issue and gluten sensitivity--this was over a decade ago before gluten-free menu options and the only bread available was that rice brick. I've even had two doctors prescribe antidepressants and assure me all my symptoms were stemming from my thoughts. I now think they were so misguided and misguiding. I heard about Dr. Owen at Whole Family Medicine from a coworker who had been through the same ordeal as I. She said Dr. Owen was the one who pinpointed the issue and set her onto a road of recovery. With some hope that I scraped from the bottom of the barrel, in regards to doctors, I went to see Dr. Owen. I wept on the sofa in her office and laid it all out there. She took a deep breath and began that day to set me on my road to recovery! I'm feeling better every day under her care. She understands my apprehensions with western medicine and works around that. She finds the treatments that I am comfortable doing. She has a very optimistic attitude and a matter of fact way about her that makes me feel safe. But... personality aside (I've had several personality plus doctors who had no clue about healing people) Dr. Owen KNOWS HER STUFF! And...if she doesn't know something she will figure it out. She is open to all sorts of treatments and doesn't judge or cringe when a patient brings in their own idea of treatment. Like she said the first time I met her, " If the crud on the bottom of a pond heals you and makes you feel better, then take the crud off the bottom of the pond!!! I don't need to know how it works but that it works!" She doesn't judge her patients. She actually has compassion for them and is curious about these treatments we want to try. I know. I'm one of them. There is a difference between a doctor who practices medicine and a doctor who practices healing. She is the latter. I'm thankful every day for this woman.
