Misty is no longer there, so I want to be clear this has nothing to do with her. She is amazing. I booked an appointment at this location back in September for November 1st. They hadn't had an esthetician so I was stoked. I get confirmations/reminders, the whole lot. Imagine my surprise when I get there for my appointment and no esthetician. An employee informed me there hadn't be one in a while. They had one, but she was only there a few times then never came back. I was also told I was not the only person this has happened to. I sent a message to Benefit Corporate and got back a very bad generic response that did not address my concerns at all, but you know told me how to book another appointment. Nope. Long time Benefit customer, but I can't support a company who doesn't value their customer's/client's time. They had over a month to reach out to me and cancel the appointment. Radio silence. All this to say, I won't be going to Benefit again. If they do reopen, book with caution read more

Over a year ago, I had to find a new esthetician and my eyebrows needed some TLC. I made an appointment with Misty and have come every two weeks since. She has beautiful energy, is attentive, and a perfectionist! I look forward to my appointments and being able to continue working with Misty. Called in to ask about the birthday brows and the girl I spoke with had no idea what she was talking about. My birthday was on a Monday so I wasn't able to claim it until Saturday, and she said it was too late because I had to come in 7 days BEFORE. She kept telling me "well it's not your birthday anymore" which isn't the point because the promotion applies the whole week. I read the fine print on the Benefit website and other stores confirmed that I was right. On top of that she was pushy to schedule me in anyway and get me to pay for a wax that should have been complimentary. Not a good first impression and wouldn't come back. Even if it wasn't complimentary I wouldn't schedule with someone who's clueless AND rude. I hope she realizes she's giving out wrong information or at least make sure with someone else next time. Customer service includes phone inquiries too. I've been to the Brow Bar several times and would recommend, just make sure you go to a good location (not here). read more

I am very, and I mean very picky when it comes to my eyebrows. I took a risk going to someone outside of my usual person whom I typically travel to San Diego for. But I know from experience that benefit is always capable of training their brows specialists to deliver exceptional results. My brow girl in San Diego comes from a Benefit background so I knew visiting a Boutique would deliver consistent results. Alex is amazing! I can't recommend her enough. Now they finally have a brow specialist!!! I was so thrilled this service was now available. Her name is Stacy, she's available Tuesday's, Wednesday and Sunday's. But her schedule can change. I would call in advance. I happen to be shopping for other things and just stopped by and got lucky. She was free and was able to do my eyebrows. I was a little sad after I saw my eyebrows.. I felt naked!!! I had to pretend I liked them. But as I walked out of the Macy's and saw them in the light I was like damn they look great!!! I came last week to get my eyebrows done and I left there feeling so beautiful!!! The young lady that helped me was Alexandra and the service she gave me was just A1! At first she was talking to me about which shape and direction that fits me but also gave good advice on how to put eyebrow pencil on it after if I want it to look natural! She helped me with not only my brows but also in makeup advice! My eyebrow hairs are really thick and I haven't got it done in awhile but after she did it, it turned out great and what I wanted it to be! She's excellent in her job. She needs a raise!!!! The struggle is real with eyebrows and it showed when I showed up for my appt. First of all, Alex - The Brow Wiz was there to greet me 10 minutes early (which is a plus), then she asked me how I liked my brows and what I wanted them to look like (which almost never happens). Then she provided a consultation on my face shape and what shape of brow would suit me. THEN she proceeded to SLAY my brows! I went in to the brow bar desperate for someone who knows what they are doing. My eyebrows have been butchered from other people waxing and over plucking them. I was greeted by Ashley who was super sweet and very helpful. She assured me that Alex was the best of the best and that she too goes to her. Alex was extremely knowledgeable and confident in her abilities. She did a brow mapping for me to assure me that they would come out even and they did! They look perfect! After looking for a good place to shape my brows, I decided to go to this Brow Bar location. I wanted to get them cleaned up before my wedding makeup trial later this evening. I am so unhappy and disappointed in the results. The artist recommend me tint my brows and I was really hesitant but said yes as I've never done them and she assured that I would look very natural. However, after she wiped off the tint, she got a bunch of makeup remover in my eye and down my face into my mouth, which caused my eyes to sting really badly. THEN she had the nerve to say that I must be really nervous because I was sweating so she was having trouble putting the brow make up on afterwards! I wasn't sweating, my eye was watering being it was stinging so badly. Then she proceeded to put some kind of concealer to my brow but then wiped them off. She said she was going to hand me off to one of the other girls to put my brow make up on. I told her no need because I was already extremely frustrated and my eyes felt like they were on fire. Then I looked at myself in the mirror and my brows were way too dark and dramatic (exactly what I told her I didn't want) because I don't wear makeup everyday. She even make them uneven and got tint in between my eyes and told me "not to worry about it." Now my wedding make up trial is ruined because my eyebrows are way too dark and I am so disappointed with Benefit as I am a long time user of many of their products. but I will never go to another Brow Bar again if they deem this quality of work as acceptable. I am now out $40 (and trying desperately to rub off this tint) when I could have just paid $10 to get my brows threaded at the place I normally go to. I've been threading my brows for years but I had noticed they were getting too thin and I just didn't like how they looked anymore, so I decided to give the brow bar a chance and I surely wasn't disappointed one bit. Alex is absolutely AMAZING, she asks you how you like your brows to look shape wise and she does exactly what you ask for. Today is my third time coming in and my eyebrows have grown so much in the areas they were sparse and they look really good.
