Just moved to town from another state and I needed a place to get my brows done. I had Suzan as my aesthetician and she did an amazing job! I don't remember the last time I was this happy with my brows. I scheduled a lamination and a brow threading session. Very happy with my results. Suzan was very detail oriented and careful to make sure I was happy with the end result. Thanks again Suzan! read more

Decided to come here since I just relocated and didn't want to risk going to a random place. I had been to a Benefit Brow Bar in a dif state and recalled they had done a great job so I made an appt. Let me just say NYAME IS AMAZING! She did an absolutely beautiful job on my brows and we enjoyed a good conversation as well. She was very kind and am so thankful I have someone I can trust with my brows again. So worth the extra couple bucks! Thanks again Nyame :) read more

Came at 5:30p on Friday and asked how long it would be for the next appointment for brows and lip waxing. When making my appointment I was told who would be helping me and what chair I would sit in. After walking around the mall I came back a little early and was told by the same employee who helped me that Lehua would be right with me as she was with another client. I waited for five minutes and was helped. Lehua made me feel very comfortable as I was used to threading and explained what she would be doing. Also, she was really personable and is great at conversational skills while doing her job. She repeatedly showed me the steps she was taking and wanted to make sure she got all the little stray hairs, all while showing me the mirror to check the process over three times. After my brows and upper lip were done, Lehua filled in my brows with a brow gel that was not overdone and added some coverage too. By 6:40 when my appointment was done, and I saw the final reveal I was blown away! The brow area was so clean, and looked natural like I wanted and prefer. Upon checkout Lehua told me about an event that would be happening next month and if I wanted to set my next appointment. I definitely should of and will come back as even now, an hour after the appointment I can't stop staring at my brows and how cleaned up they are. read more

This review is in hopes to find my favorite eyebrow esthetician, Alla, she used to work at the Benefit Brow Wax. I've been living in Portland since 2007 and have tried multiple locations and many different estheticians (every single one of the best places in Portland) and Alla was just the best. Consistent. She gave my eyebrows the best shape they ever had (every single time). She was the only esthetician that I did not have to do any additional touch up myself (when I got home). I really hope she returns to the Benefit store at Macy's after Covid-19 (or that I can find out where is the next place she'll be working at). I don't even know her last name to try finding her, she gave me her card but I think I lost it. :/ read more

Went in for a quick upper lip wax, but when I sat down I realized my wild eyebrows needed to be tamed in a good way. I've always been only slightly happy with my brows, so today I asked Allá, the stylist, if she could help me to make them look better. Not only did she do a fantastic job (my brows are now more arched and my eyes look bigger thanks to her great "highlighting tips, but she's also a very pleasant person to help out. Let's face it: brows and waxing, basically anything that involves touching of our face is a very intimate experience! So it has to be a pleasant personality, right? Alla is all that and more: soft-spoken, gentle touch, friendly and super professional. I will definitely become a regular and ask for her. Best times are on weekdays, which doesn't always work out for us with jobs, but it's simply better than over the weekend when it's quite busy. I was less impressed with Macy's manager Shonda who was helping out behind the counter today. Since Alla was the only stylist today, timing is quite important, I get that. I plead guilty, because I added my brows whereas the idea was to only wax my upper lip. So brows takes a bit more time. While Alla was working on my brows, we were talking about all kinds of things. All of a sudden Shonda barged in and gave Alla a lecture how she should have been told that I was having my brows done. This was all in front of me and a lady who wanted to have hers done too. Now, I have to say something because it's just not right. A good manager would not do this while customers are overhearing her "lecture", especially not with a bossy manager attitude. Shonda, take a deep breath: it's not the end of the world. As a customer at this place we know we may have to wait 5 or 10 minutes. It's no reason to be unfriendly to the person who is doing her best to make a customer happy. Just relax and talk to staff members when customers can't hear it. It's respectful to the staff and customers. I will definitely come back to Alla for my best brow appointment! read more

I was referred to Teresa by my sister and I never looked back since. One of the sweetest persons that I know and she is phenomenal!!!

I have been going to benefit brow bar for years now and have been going with Teresa! I always look forward to getting my brows done with her! She does an exceptional job and goes above and beyond on caring about her clients. If you are ever looking for a new brow stylist I HIGHLY recommend you give Teresa a chance! read more

I've switched to Theresa and she is amazing! Fun to talk to and i get so many compliments on my brows. She also is not pushy about sales as some others have been in the past. You will have to book in advance if you want to see Theresa but she is worth it!!! read more

When I first moved to Portland, Oregon in 2009 I just happened to stumble upon Benefit BrowBar while in desperate need of an eyebrow wax. Katy has been waxing my eyebrows since 2009 and you wouldn't believe the before and after. She is quick and very skilled at what she does. She is also just an all around lovely person to communicate with. I have some pretty large eyebrows that can get unruly. However, I get compliments and inquiries on my eyebrows all the time thanks to Katy. Katy worked with me to ensure I grew the natural arch in my eyebrows back after years of bad plucking and waxes. Thank goodness I met her!! Additionally prices are very reasonable and there are many lovely and well trained estheticians working here. read more

Larissa is the best! I've followed her from downtown to Washington square even though it's farther from my home and work. She is so professional, an artist in giving me the best brows I've ever had. I trust her and all her recommendations of Benefit products and I love it all! read more

Teresa here is absolutley amazing! Both my mom and I have been going to her for years now and she not only is an amazing waxer but has become a friend! She is for sure the most popular and therefor it can be tough to get in to see her, but on occasion I have gone to Shondra who does a fine job as well. But if you are looking for a brow genius- book Teresa! read more

Nyame was awesome! They were very knowledgeable and did such an outstanding job threading by my eyebrows. Love that Benefit is doing threading along with waxing now. My brows have never looked better! Definitely will be returning. read more

I took my 17 year old little sister here to have her eyebrows done. Upon arriving, the lady informed us that they didn't have an opening until 3:30 (It was about 2:15) We were happy to walk around the mall. No where is it posted that you must be 18, or have a parent or guardian present. Apparently a sister over the age of 21 doesn't count either. When we returned imagine our surprise when they told us she could not have her brow's done, because she didn't have a parent. The aesthetician Jenna looked at us like we were stupid, and the lady who scheduled us was no where to be found. A frustrating experience for sure, it would have been really nice to have been told up front that she wouldn't have been able to get a service done, instead of wasting our time wandering around the mall. We could have gone somewhere else and not wasted our time. read more

I came to see Irina for my brows after being referred to her by two different people. Not only am I extremely particular about how I like my eyebrows to be done, but my skin is also VERY sensitive; I usually always break out where I get waxed. When I came to see Irina, she took perfect care of me. Not only did my eyebrows look absolutely perfect but I didn't break out once! She's amazing. She took her time with me and made sure I got the exact look I wanted. All I gotta say is, this girl knows what she's doing. I've definitely become a regular now. To anyone who is nervous due to past experiences, or just wants someone who is highly professional and skilled, Irina is your girl! read more

I have been coming to Teresa @BrowBar for over 5 years & she is amazing. She listens, gives me her full attention, and I always leave happy. The only downside is lately it's been extremely difficult to get into see Teresa. She gets booked out in advance so make an appointment as you're not likely to get in to see her same day. read more

The person who did my bros was Jennifer. I love how she did them and how she really focused on them. They turned out amazing and I would recommend going! I didn't realize that you had to be 18 or older to get them done but that wasn't a problem sense my family lived close. She was very patient about it and when I was on a phone call she was respectful. Just a great experience over all and especially the hype up from the other co-workers. read more

Absolutely love Teresa!! Not sure how long I've been going to see her but it's been at least a couple years! Wouldn't get my brows done by anyone else. Definitely book an appointment because she does get busy. Also pretty sure she has Sundays and Mondays off... that could have changed but that use to be the case. Would highly recommend her! read more

Theresa is the best!! Been seeing her for a couple years now and have nothing but amazing things to say. She does a fantastic job every time and remembers you and your story! Would highly recommend her! read more

Katy is basically the brow goddess at the brow bar. I should see her more regularly but her perfectionist personality about your brows is what I love most about her. Trust her to make your sister, not twin eyebrows amazing!!! read more

Larissa saved my brows! I have not waxed my eyebrows in years because I started threading my brows. I noticed that every time I would get my eyebrows threaded they would get thinner and lose shape. I will say I have difficult brows because of some scars I have and they are hard to shape. When I didn't have makeup on I noticed that my brows were just two thin lines and that's when I decided to let them grow for about 4 months. I went as a walk in and I showed Larissa what my brows used to look like about 3 years ago and she said it's going to take time to get to that again but we can do it! She worked her magic and at first I was not convinced because my left brow still looked bald in some spots and I had hair underneath but I said ok I can fill it in no big deal. She said I know they are not perfect but it will grow in and look better at least we have a nicer shape now to work with and I am so happy I listened and trusted her! My brows look so much better and thicker now I actually look forward to doing my makeup! I have gone twice now and the second time I am even happier! She has gained a loyal customer I am beyond happy. Thank you Larissa!! I posted the before picture and the pictures after seeing Larissa one with makeup and one without. Go see Larissa you will not be disappointed. read more

Honestly, I do not write reviews at all but my experience at the Benefit Brow Bar at Macy's in the Washington Square Mall was amazing. At first I was hesitant to get my brows done, though I decided to do my research and see where I should go. You should note that I never really trusted anyone with my brows, but I decided to take a leap of faith. Irena did a flawless job and took her time. She's also very easy going and good to talk to. If you go here, ask for Irena ! read more

This was my first time at the brow bar and it was a great experience! Jennifer was wonderful! Decided to give it a try based on the reviews here and same-day availability. Jennifer was kind and professional. Walked me through everything she was doing before she did it. Will definitely go back and see her again. Online booking was super easy. Just make sure to bring cash for a tio if you plan on using your Macy's card. I rarely carry cash, so I'll bring a double tip next time I go. They aren't expected, but I always typically tip for services like this. read more

Do yourself and your brows a favor and go see Jennifer Golden. I exclusively see her - I don't trust anyone else with my brows. She's able to work around my scar through my eyebrow and still make them look fantastic. read more

Teresa is F.A.N.T.A.S.T.I.C!!!! She helped fix my brows and showed me how to use some amazing new products including what would look best for my brows. She showed me how to do my brows with my new product and walked me through the step by step process!! Gotta give a shout out to Nikki (I hope I spelled that right!) and Shondra as well. Both these ladies helped me to figure out how to use some new products and left me looking refreshed and ready! Thanks so much for your amazing customer service!! I will absolutely be back! read more

Katy is amazing! I have been to most of the Benefit Brow Bar locations in the Portland Metro area and Katy is hands down the best!

Irene did mine! I've been growing mine out for months after a horrible threading appointment. She managed to give my brow a decent shape & she took her time which was nice because usually people rush it. She did awesome! read more

I walked in and was immediately greeted with a smile and was in a chair in 30 seconds. I'm so happy with the job Katy did! I was long overdue for a waxing and I'll admit that I was a little anxious that I'd end up one of those skinny brow girls (I prefer a more natural look) but to my relief they are perfect. Afterwards she used some of their amazing products on me and I left feeling like a million bucks (even though it only cost $20...plus tip). Definitely a fantastic value!! read more

I travel from Seattle to Oregon for work every other month. Part of my trip planning is to make sure I book an appointment for Lehua to sculpt my brows. After letting my eyebrows get out of control. I was in search of finding a place to shapen my unruly eyebrows. I scheduled an appointment w/ Jenna. When I got there, there was no wait at all and Jenna quickly got down to business on my brows. She was very professional and gave me quick tips on how to maintain the shape.. Jenna did a great job and my eyebrows definitely improved! My husband even agreed that it looked good and it was worth doing. I would not hesitate making another appointment in the future. The cost was only $20 (w/o tip). read more

I always get my eyebrows done here! Honestly anyone who works there is great, I've gotten my brows done by 3 different girls and have been happy every time! read more

As far as waxing goes, you won't find better. I've had a couple of the girls do my brows (Katy, Jenna and Teresa) and they're all great. I first had an appointment with Jenna and she was great at adding shape to my flat brows and helping to even them out because one was a little higher than the other. Katy was really great as well. Teresa was friendly and I'm happy with the result. It's a bit expensive but you get what you pay for. At the end they add aloe to sooth your skin and make up to help hide the redness. This is a great place to help you with coloring your brows in as well. read more

Chynna was super helpful and you could really tell she loved her job. She took the time to help my friend and I with our make up needs. She didn't jump around from customer to customer. Lehua has been doing my brows for almost 2 years now and she is seriously AMAZING! I used to work at Macys and my brows were a mess. I was a little tweezer happy as a teen :/ Lehua introduced herself to me at Macys and invited me over to the Benefit counter for a brow consultation, where she broke the news to me in the nicest way possible, that we needed to fix my brows. We came up with a plan to start growing them back, and I can't thank her enough!!! She changed the entire frame of my face and I will never go back! I now go every two-four weeks to see her, and I have never gotten so many compliments on my brows. Not only did she make me a more beautiful human being, but she has also become a great friend. THANK YOU LEHUA!!! read more
