This review pertains to two separate jobs we hired this contractor for. The first was to reroof our…read morehouse and repair water damage to the eaves over the garage door. The roof was completed successfully, but during the second job, a windstorm revealed that a portion of the ridgeline over the garage had not been properly attached by the contractor's workers. When we brought this to the contractor's attention, he argued that it wouldn't be an issue and became angry when we challenged him. For the second job, the contractor only quoted us for labor costs and did not mention materials needed for the repair above the garage. During the repair process, we were charged for workers' travel time to purchase supplies, and although they couldn't find trim for the garage, we ended up finding it ourselves. We requested that the contractor use our replacement trim, but he initially tried to convince us otherwise and even wanted to make another bid for this change (despite agreeing to use our trim). After heated discussions, he finally agreed to use our trim and scolded us in front of his workers while threatening to walk off the site if we didn't stop questioning him. The contractor did patch up the roof and rush through the repairs, but tensions were too high between us at this point and we decided to let him go without completing one final repair that we had already paid for. Not only was his invoice much higher than originally quoted, but it also didn't provide a breakdown of cost, and he did not deduct the cost of the trim we provided ourselves. In the end, our main priority was getting the job finished and having him gone. It turned out to be a costly mistake as the work done on the garage was sloppy and shabby. On both jobs, they left behind scraps and nails that we had to clean up ourselves. We also requested a receipt for the second job but never received it as promised. Overall, we were overcharged for substandard work and cannot recommend this company to anyone.

I had a ten year later nightmare experience that cost me more than 20x the cost of the roof. They did shoddy work where I couldn't see. Didn't patch sheeting holes where they removed vent cans. Worst of all was they replaced attic ventilation that was working with very bad ventilation which ended up causing mold that was discovered 10 years later. They admitted they should have informed me about the poor ventilation and they also admitted that the shoddy work shouldn't have been done, but because we were outside of the warranty period they refused to do anything about it. They did stop by to shake their heads and say "yeah that's not good" but refused any kind of compensation for my extensive mold remediation project including drywall removal inside, re-painting and a bunch of roofing work to fix their mess not to mention a significant loss of value. There are many great roofers in Bend: NW Quality, AM-1, Taylor, Deschutes etc etc. It baffles me that a reputable company, that basically has it made, would cut corners on their own customers and then not stand behind their product???? However, I'm having an issue trying to get my $50 Amazon gift card, as promised by the project manager. I called and was told it would go out at EOM July when the rest would be mailed out in 1 batch with all the other customers cards. I called on August 14th and asked what happened to my gift card. The gal said it was an oversight and would be mailed out at the EOM August. We'll, here it is now September 12th and still no card. I called the office 2 days ago and talked to an answering service. She took my message and said she'd forward my concern. As of today, No one from this company has called me back to explain why I haven't been sent my $50 gift card. I just called the office again and the service again answered. I just hung up. I paid over $21,000 for the new roof so the $50 card is not the point. It's yet another company not following through on a promise they made. The $50 is peanuts. It's the fact I've been lied too and even worse no one bothered to return my call to apologize or talk to me. I respect actions over words. Clearly, they do not.
