Called three times in a week. No one answered the phone. Everything goes to voicemail. Staff cannot seem to return calls. When they finally did, I mentioned my difficulty with getting return calls. Gretchen was snarky and told me twice if I had a bad taste in my mouth maybe they weren't the company I should trust to do my work. What ever happened to people who know how to move on when they have had a misstep? I never said anything about any taste in my mouth, but she did twice! Once again, I can't voice my support highly enough. We asked for a quote on an issue with the flashing on our roof and they sent someone the same week as our request. The young man who came out was prompt and professional. He not only found a much more affordable, reasonable solution to the flashing issue than we were expecting but also found two areas on the roof that were problematic that we hadn't noticed. He solved an issue that the original builders had created and put it into the quote at a very reasonable price for all 3 issues and saved us a ton in preventative maintenance. On a very windy day, a tall pine tree fell into my roof--branches were visible in my living room ceiling. Two days after I called the office, a crew came out, repaired all of the damage under the roof, replaced the shingles and cleaned up the debris. The crew took photographs of the interior damage and the office coordinated with my insurance company. Their help was invaluable at a time when I really needed it. Trailhead Property Management hired Northwest roofing to re-do the roof on the 4-place townhome I live in. They moved all of my patio furniture into the middle of the yard without putting it back, left roofing scraps everywhere, nails everywhere, were impolite while they were here, rescheduled and then took a day longer than they said they would. Hire people that have honor and integrity, and finish a job by leaving things better than they found them, not worse. I didn't find that with these guys. read more

Having been stood up, literally, by another local Bend roofer in 2017, following the ice dam debacle winter of 2016, I was concerned I would not find a quality contractor to install the metal roof I wanted to replace the old composite roof on my home in Three Rivers. In addition, I wanted a metal installation on a house with a complex design. Other companies walked away, whereas Northwest embraced the job. From day one, they assisted in getting the right color, kept in regular contact (important as I am a remote owner) updated me, and made me feel like a valued customer. I was very pleased at the time invested in the job to get it right. At the end of the job, they worked with me to add snow fences, and to make an adjustment for some interior finish work not in the bid. The job superintendent met me at the home, reviewed the work, and saw that all touch up painting was done. NW also supplied opening skylights for the same price as the fixed units they had bid. Kudos to Craig, Gretchen, and the entire team. They do great work - on time - on budget, and with a great approach to service. read more

I needed some cracked concrete roof tiles replaced so called Northwest Quality Roofing. A very nice lady answered the phone, and scheduled the repair that day. She called back a week prior to the appointment to give me a specific time window. The two repairman showed up on-time and had the job done within an hour (I had spare replacement tiles already). Bend is a great place to live, but getting repairmen to call you back, particularly for small jobs, can be frustrating. NQR was a refreshing change. read more

Amazingly, we felt NWQR had the most straightforward quote process and a very competitive bid. (Other roofers wanted as much as $3,000 over NWQR's quote.) At every step of the way, this company has been communicative and accountable. The crews are very hard-working and everyone is very conscious about the cleanup of the site. We have a home in Bend while I am stationed overseas and I got a call from our tenants saying after a windstorm they thought the metal roof was damaged. I called Gretchen at NW Quality Roofing and they were able to get Jake out the next day to inspect it. I was expecting a best case scenario of a few hundred bucks with the real possibility of it being much. Jake inspected the roof and said that it was structurally sound and then told me the history on that style of roof and why is sounded loud in high winds as well who made it and where he lived, he's incredibly informed. He told me a repair he could do that would eliminate the noise in high winds but I deferred and asked if I could just pay him for the inspection which he did on a Saturday but he declined payment. I couldn't believe it. Not only are they an extremely generous company, they are a very knowledgeable roofing company who showed up on time and with an incredible business ethics model. This winter Bend had an unusual weather system that resulted in ice dams forming on many roofs. Jake was great to work with and the crew that came out was excellent. We had eight skylights fixed or replaced and some other flashing issues corrected. The crew which came out worked hard and a kept a very clean work site while working and on leaving each evening. I have found no nails what-so-ever in the yard, which is amazing. The work looks great and I am now confident winter will not cause us any issues. The cost was reasonable and well worth what we paid. After trying to get a roofer to respond to my calls, I finally hit on Northwest Quality Roofing. The office responded quickly and had someone out to look at my roof later that same day. I requested quotes for both repair and a new roof, and never felt pressured to go with the more expensive job. But they were so good to work with, I did get the new roof. The work was done on time, done well, and the work site was left very, very clean. I had to do a lot of transactions long distance via phone and computer, and that worked out quite well.
