The train was so dirty I couldn't see out the windows! Even though the Steward swept the floor when we got close to Portland he only swept the aisles. The seats were filthy. When I had to take the train back to Washington, with my granddaughter, we were then told the train wasn't coming at all and we had to ride a bus back. Not a normal Greyhound bus but a small party bus jammed packed with people, shoulder to shoulder, a sack lunch from Subway, that I couldn't eat, no bathroom and the seats were ridiculously hard and had to sit straight up! I'm almost 70yrs old and that was very painful on a 4 hour ride! For the money I paid, and no reduced charges it was HELL! I'll not take the train ever again and I'm telling everyone I know across the country not to either!!!

Only to find out our train had been delayed by 4 hours and was now departing at 10:35am. We checked our 2 largest pieces of luggage and decided to just wait at the station, as our family friend DR had already dropped us off & gone on to work. Well about 7:30am the Amtrak employee who works the desk came by and gave us a 5.11 oz. Snack box filled with: Hummus, Cheese Spread, Almonds, Brownie Crisps, Crackers, Beef Stick & Dried Apples! FREE! WOW, what a wonderful service and it saved us from having to buy snacks with our own $! I'm highly recommend taking this train. Thanks Amtrak!

Loved this gorgeous winery! The view is absolutely breath taking…read more Reservations are recommended especially on weekends as this place gets very busy. They have an onsite kitchen and is a very popular spot for wine and lunches. They are dog friendly on the patio only. You get to taste about 8 wines for $30 Or fee is waived with a purchase of any two bottles. Tasting did not disappoint from their whites to red. They have a variety for all taste buds. I loved all their Cabs. They have a mix of 100% Cab to some with Merlot and Cab Franc. All were delish and as I was tasting I kept thinking of food items these would pair well with. Of course we purchased half a case variety of red wines. Venue is super clean, great vibe and super friendly staff. Darcy and Alex were both amazing. We will definitely be going back here when in the area.

I absolutely adore this winery: the wine, the space, the people, the food, and the community…read more The Wine: The wines are consistently amazing and are made to be aged, without the usual high price tag that comes with that. I like bold, flavorful wine, and they have that in spades. I thought I hated Merlot, for being generally weak, but Terra Blanca's Merlot is fantastic. I thought I only liked red wine, but their Albarino is now my go-to summer white wine. I thought Rose was too sugary of a wine, but their Rose has incredible flavor without heft. I'm an enduring fan of their Block 8 Syrah, but the Cab Sauv is a close second. The Space: It's gorgeous. The building is beautiful, the grounds are well-maintained, the vineyard (which you can tour at some of their events) feels old-world-meets-tech, the cellars are amazing, and everything feels welcoming. Like, I don't just want to go here, I want to spend time here. The People: The employees are wonderful: welcoming, knowledgeable, happy, humble, and it never feels like they're just trying to sell you something. They're honest and upbeat, even at times when I *know* they must be feeling rushed or stressed. It makes the whole place feel like hanging out with friends and neighbors (but in a classy way). This is *not* the kind of winery where they pour, recite a litany about the varietal, and walk away. This is the kind of winery where you can walk in and say "I know nothing about wine" and they'll be excited to take you wherever your curiosity about wine takes you. The Food: I've eaten at the Thursday happy hours, at buffet banquets, and at a tasting/pairing event. Each time the food has been delicious, unique, and well-paired. And it's all from scratch, locally grown & grazed, etc. even their charcuterie boards are lovely (and a lot...you will not leave hungry). I recommend trying the flatbread pizzas off their wood-fired grill. Oh, and the menu changes quarterly, so I've yet to get bored with anything. The Community: In addition to this place feeling like a community, and growing one with their wine clubs and virtual tasting group, they're involved in the Tri-Cities community. I love when local small businesses support each other and non-profits in the area! They have regular events and banquet fundraisers for orgs like Children's Developmental Center and TROT. Oh, the prices? I'd call them good. High enough to convey the quality, but low enough to be approachable even for people who are just starting to try wine. And they do a lot of sales and discounts throughout the year. The tasting room prices are spot-on, which keeps Terra Blanca feeling inclusive. TL;DR: Tasty wine at affordable prices, great customer service, welcoming atmosphere, excellent food, fun events

If you're looking for a personalized, stress-free wine touring experience in the Red Mountain AVA,…read moreI can't recommend TC Black enough--especially David as your driver. This was our first visit to the Red Mountain AVA, and our goal was to safely explore some of the smaller wineries to get a true sense of what the region has to offer. From the very beginning, David exceeded our expectations. He responded quickly to texts and had us complete a thoughtful questionnaire about our wine preferences and even our music tastes so he could tailor the experience to us. Communication was outstanding. He called the day before to confirm everything and even offered to contact a winery we wanted to visit when he couldn't personally take us there, just to let them know we were coming. That level of service really stood out. On the day of our tour, David arrived right on time. His vehicle was immaculate, with cold water waiting for us, and he was friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. Every winery he selected was exactly the type we were hoping to discover. Each stop was expecting us, and thanks to David's relationships, we received VIP treatment everywhere we went, with tastings customized to our palate. The highlight of the day was when David arranged for us to sit down with the owner and assistant winemaker of a local winery--even though they were closed. That experience alone speaks volumes about the relationships he has built and the exceptional level of service he provides. If you want a safe, comfortable, and truly personalized wine tour with someone who knows the region inside and out, ask for David at TC Black. He made our first visit to Red Mountain unforgettable, and we'll absolutely book with him again.

I just gave you the ball and it disappeared. Where did my Pass-go?…read more This is the station for Pasco and for Kennewick and for, also, Richland, collectively which are known as the Tri-Cities. They're basically all one big city but with three distinct centers and they consider themselves as different and yet the same. So it is pretty adorable around here, and this is a cute station too, and it's set back a little bit from the road, and looks cute. It looks brand new as well. It serves the three cities well, but especially Pasco where it's situated. My concert was in Richland so it was hard to get there from here with my instrument honestly. It's for local transit. And Greyhound stops here as well which is how I've used it on a number of occasions.

I'm a bit of a train nerd, so when I'm at a train depot I'm happy…read more Train travel to me is like a step back in time (in a good way). We're lucky in the Tri-Cities to have one of the newest train stations in the Pacific North West (this station was constructed in 1998). I like it here, because whenever I'm here, it means I'm going somewhere cool, whether it's the early train to Portland, or the evening train to Glacier National Park. The Empire Builder is the east/west train which serves us. This depot also serves Greyhound as well as the Mexican bus service, Estrella Blanca. The waiting room is generally clean, and there is a vending machine available (but if you've got time, stop by a taco truck since you're surrounded!). I must admit I was a little wary of leaving my vehicle here over the weekend, but my MINI was waiting for me safe & sound after my weekend trip to Portland. Ok, when's the next trip!?
