Traded in for a used car, it was a fair deal . Next day, in the snow I was all over the road , three tires were bad. Purchased 4 new tires and found the brakes were bad, had to replace. So after purchasing a 2020 vehicle I spent $1800 to make it safe to drive. Contacted the dealership owner 2X, never heard back... also they only gave me one key fob, they said they would have another made for me, took weeks before they paid the locksmith who bought the key fob. I went to Ben Davis Chevy on Monday to look at a truck I found online. I met Mike on the lot and he quickly got my keys for my truck and the keys for the truck I was interested in. We go to the test drive quickly. My wife and I fell in love with the truck but noted a mechanical/electrical issue. We went inside to get ready for the offer from the GM. Mike delivered the offer but as is usual, did not return my keys. I reviewed to offer and immediately felt insulted. There was no movement on the price of their truck, the offer on my truck was very low, there was a quite large down payment amount listed and the payment was very high due to a ridiculous interest rate. I wanted to leave right away but my lovely wife and Mike convinced me to offer different numbers so I did. Keep in mind that I'm retired and have to watch every dollar I spend. There was zero good faith negotiation at all during this visit. The new car manger returned my keys and wanted to talk to me. It was easy to see that things would not go in my favor given his demeanor. Mike returned with the next offer. Nothing changed except that they were somewhat confident that I could be in the desired payment range given my credit score of over 800. I really liked the truck so I thought we could proceed...until it was noted that they owed me nothing. They weren't going to repair the mechanical issue. I estimate the repair to be in the $800-$900 range. I stopped the paperwork process and asked about the repair. The GM came by and wanted to talk to me outside. His posture and the way he spoke to us made it clear that he was in charge... Very condescending. He explained the buying process to me as if I were an 18yo buying my first car. He finished by saying - "We want your business but don't NEED your business. That was the end for me. Personal note to the GM - You must be very proud of your dealerships success, so much so that you can turn away a sale. read more

just had oil change and rotate tiers on 2015 gmc arcadia cost 123.8. Now mind you i just had may chevy Silverado 1500 changed 2 weeks prier cost me 122.36 car is 6 quarts truck is 8 quarts . I'm not happy with them at this point because she told me the car was 6 quarts and it costs more. So why is the car more when the truck takes more oil in it. could it be the extra 9.60 charge for shop supplies. So what is shop supplies when i already paid for the oil and labor to rotate the tiers? looks to me like its just another way for them to charge more. NOT HAPPY read more

That means nothing, they took my money and refused to refund. I advertise against them all I can and so far, have cost them several big sales. HIGHLY don't recommend. Bought a used truck a couple weeks ago from a salesman named Matt. Matt told me it has a "harmless tick that all Hemi's have" and that they could fix it for me but it would be pointless because it won't effect the truck and the tick will come right back. Remind you, this was a "Ben Davis certified pre owned" vehicle that they insisted was inspected and good to go. Well shame on me for taking their word on that. Idk if they have the most incompetent mechanics around or if they just lied about it being inspected but the sound was actually an exhaust leak from FIVE broken manifold bolts. The heat shield on the passenger side was literally hanging on by one bolt and was just laying in the engine bay. The drivers side had 2 broken manifold bolts and a leak. I texted Matt to let him know and he gave me the number for their service department so I called them and they said I can bring it in but it won't be free to fix. Even though when I bought it they really talked up that free 3,000 mile warranty which turns out to be bogus. It's only for if the engine fails in 3,000 miles. Only way it would be fixed for free was if the manifolds were cracked because the warranty doesn't cover "rust" lol. Apparently their mechanic doesn't understand that it isn't a rust issue it's a broken bolt due to the aluminum black and iron manifolds expanding at different temps that break the bolts. but it was clear they had no interest in fixing it a week after I bought it so I was more than happy to pay Curtis (great guy) at Woodward automotive in Fort Wayne to fix up the truck for me. All I know is they definitely lost any business from me and I'll be sure to let anyone know of this experience since I work at GM and don't want people to think all Chevrolet dealers are this bad. read more

This is probably the worst dealer I have ever dealt with and I've bought several vehicles. The sales person I had was so Unattentive and even sold the vehicle I had a downpayment on and that was under a purchase agreement contract to someone else. Didn't even bother to tell me he totally screwed me over to get a little more money for himself on a different deal. Why else would you put a vehicle back on the market for someone else. 0 stars for this place. The manager called and promised all kinds of things to make up for this action and never even bothered to reach back out. Very unprofessional set up dont bother. I talked to randy about a car and I asked him if the car had any leaks and he said his guys did a full check out of the car and everything was working perfect. I took the car to another garage and they found a major oil leak in the front and back of the oil pan which ended up being and estimated $2,066 to fix. I told him I would buy the car for $2000 less than what he wanted so that I could fix it, he denied this offer and told me that he would not fix the car or come down on the price. It was a good price for the car if nothing was wrong but there was a significant repair that needed to be done read more

Bought a nice 2013 Malibu in 2016. No problems with the car and any mechanical defects were covered no problem under warranty. My problem is with all the up sale and extended warranty BS they tag onto the sticker price. Ethos Group warranty ripoff garbage. How do you get twice what the sticker says? Up sale the crap out of a vehicle to people new to buying from a dealership from a "Financial" officer who was an IU grad. Sorry, if you received a BS degree at IU and end up selling BS warranties without full disclosure on prices with your smug slick Willy smile you have a long way to go. I distinctly remember asking if these were simply included with the purchase. Slick Willy ensures that it was. Never mentioned the extra price tags. Only upsale I was fully briefed on was the undercoating which I fully agreed to with complete understanding. Otherwise they tried to microwave this BS buddy relationship with you to puff you into buying from their terrible dealership. Just be honest with me. Never again.
