I have used Ben Daily and Son for two different renovations in two of my homes. I could not have been happier with my outcome. One was a beautiful kitchen renovation and the second was a downstairs bathroom and more. They allow you to pick your own hardware and appliances versus making you pick from three different choices like other renovation/building companies. Patrick performed an outstanding service at our office. Our office is a rented suite and the care that is needed to perform re-construction, demolition in a rented suite can only be told by an office renter. Him and his team performed very well. A few noteworthy points: 1. ALWAYS came on time - I think punctuality is one of the strongest points for Patrick (Ben) and his team 2. Courteous - always followed up on any work and made sure we were all comfortable. 3. Great Workmanship - his team had excellent people and we got the job done very efficiently 4. Cut throat prices - I do not believe anyone on the market can deliver a more efficiently done job in the time frame and cost that Patrick gave us. I am very happy with his work and in fact his final invoice was much lower than the estimate he gave before (NOTE to New customers: Do not get startled or annoyed by the initial estimates, as I have come to know they are only estimates and there is a lot more to be said about workmanship and efficiency than just numbers) - Imagine an electrical outlet broken up by workers and then management billing the tenants or worst yet, imagine it causing electrical surges on computers or a water line broke, causing havoc. We had a large renovation done in a house we were not living in. Fairly happy with results. Time frame and final cost as expected. HOWEVER if using them I recommend that all design decisions be discussed at length and agreed upon. Bad decisions made without our knowledge by employee Dave who was unprofessional and not receptive to our wishes. I understand he is no longer there. When speaking with Patrick later after trying to live with what was done and not liking it, he stated he would get back to me with an estimate and never did. Dave decided to make the island that contains our stove bar height rather than counter height which means no one under 5 ft 6 can even cook in our house. Yes this will affect resale. read more

We hired Patrick to finish our attic - basically add two bedrooms, a bathroom, and stairs. It was a large project that spanned several months. The work (for the most part) looks very good, but working with Patrick was extremely difficult. There were several instances in which we were told that we had already paid for work (e.g. paint and hardwood floors). But when the final invoice came, he charged us again. In other instances, he made decisions without consulting us, and when they turned out to be not what we wanted, he made us pay for the fix. On top of all that, he treated us disrespectfully and unprofessionally. My advice is this: if you choose to work with Patrick, make sure everything is in writing. Every question you have, every decision you agree on, every detail for the project. We ended up paying for his mistakes and lack of communication. read more
