Where do I begin....should it be with the apple crumble gelato, with actual apple crumble in it? Or…read moreshould it be with the fact on my first visit I got to sample 5 different flavours? There was a lot of excitement locally, awaiting the opening of Moochie B's and they have not dissapointed us. As a big fan of all things sugary, I knew this was somewhere I would have to visit, particularly as it's a 5 minute walk from where I work and the fact the interior is pink! Inside there's a kind of American Diner feel, which I love. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. Everyone who knows me knows that customer service is VERY important to me and again I was not dissapointed here. I also love the fact that this is a family run business. I heard on the grapevine that the manager/owner went to Italy to train to make gelato! Talking to him, it's clear he has a passion for it and was happy to discuss how the gelato was made and new flavours he was exploring. I asked about whether he would be doing diary free ice cream and was told that he was experimenting with this, but would also be offering sorbet at some point too. This made me VERY happy. The milkshakes seem particularly popular, but on my most recent visit, I had a fresh made waffle and gelato. Strawberries and cream come as standard, although I did not partake. The gelato was so creamy and full of flavour and the waffle was huge, so I was a very happy person.

Great dessert place. I love the creativity , the cakes, gelatos and shakes are amazing. Staff are…read morepolite, the wait for waffles is annoying sometimes, but...they're sooooo worth it!!

My friend tried the savoury chicken crepe which he said was a little tasteless and i would have liked it a little more crisp, there was also a pathetic rotten looking iceberg lettuce on the side which looked rather unpleasant and i didn't eat. But the contents of the crepe was nice. The shop is very very big, maybe even too big. There is a small kids play area which is good to stop small children running around the shop for fun! But it can be full of kids and mums which is annoying if you want some peace and quiet. It was fairly clean, but not to my standard of clean. We were given a knife, fork and spoon held together with damp napkins, which looked cheap and nasty. I had also ordered a beetroot smoothie and was repeatedly asked if i wanted it made with frozen yogurt or soft serve. I wasn't sure what soft serve was so i asked the waiter to explain himself and he just kept saying its soft serve. i had no idea what it was. Then my friend pointed out its like a Mr Whippy van style ice -cream. Why couldn't he just say that? So i chose frozen yogurt. The smoothie was nice but i would prefer to have it with our any frozen yogurt or soft serve. There is a lot of choice with savoury options, a small selection of cakes, lots of different toppings for the pancakes, crepes and waffles. Price wise i think its very expensive. We had 1 Crepe, a small black coffee and smoothie for £14.00. Even for Harborne that is slightly too high, especially when this is aimed more at parents with children. I would return if I got a craving but I wouldn't rush back. Overall what I had was nothing special.

Now, this might surprise you - but I don't have the biggest sweet tooth in the world. Don't get me…read morewrong, I like a treat every now and then, but I don't get the sweats if I haven't eaten chocolate in a few hours or crave sugar every hour to keep me buzzing... However, I do have a dark secret and that is my ice cream addiction. I can't put a finger on when it started, but just the sight of ice cream makes me turn into a hyper child pulling on my dad's sleeve to persuade him to buy me a Feast or a Mr Whippy. As soon as I saw the first photos of Paradice being added to Yelp, that was it - I HAD to go. A trip to Harborne for work was planned and I knew a trip to the Gelateria had to be a part of the day. After doing some work in Boston Tea Party in the morning, an ice cream was just what the Doctor ordered after my massive lunch as an afternoon pick-me-up. The venue is just up from the Junction and has entrances on both sides (both Vivian and High Street) and is bright, airy and large. One side has a small children's soft play area (to keep the kids busy) and the other has a selection of booths and chairs for visiting groups. After a long look at the selection (which is rather generous to say the least), I opted to go for the (now) legendary "Hello Kitty" mixed with cola millions flavour in a medium tub (£3.40). The gelato is lovely. Light, fluffy and packed full of flavour - it dances on the palate (even when it's long gone). I didn't feel aggrieved at the price for two scoops at all (and if I had, had more of an appetite might have opted for 3). The staff were friendly and helpful from the moment I walked in. I was offered tasters of different flavours to try before I chose and you could sense that they love their jobs (which is important, especially in the service industry). I will definitely be back to try more of their selection. I believe their Ferrero Rocher flavour is already calling me...

I've heard of bubble tea before and in honesty tried it from here before but being so excited yet…read moreinexperienced I probably picked a really bizarre combination. Lychee juice with tapioca balls - yay... The lychee juice was really nice but not with the pudding balls. This time around I went for black tea, cold with the tapioca balls (I'd heard those are the best ones) and I was happy with this combo - don't mess with the classics. The staff were friendly, the place clean and the menu extensive. Frozen yoghurt also available which sounds great in the summer. A point to make though is those tapioca balls are really really filling. I felt like I'd eaten a meal after I was done so maybe give them a miss if you've just eaten.

You can have drinks cold (with or without ice), warm or even hot. My drink was sweet but nice. You do need a spoon to get the tapioca and jelly out at the end... This place, for my family, all started when a local pub stocked it for their puds, we already knew…read moreit was good when we discovered it was literally just down the road from one of my highschool friends. We'd ride our bikes here, using the ice creams as treats and calorie deficits, or come here to see the alpacas and come for lunch. The place is a little farm, caravan park, campsite, with rabbits, cattle, poultry, alpacas, goats you can feed, sheep, allsorts, and a little chalet where you can have your lunch, or buy farm shop type goodies. Lunch is pretty basic, a few choices of soups, sandwiches, salads, and the beauties that are Staffordshire oatcakes. But hell, I know that's not what you're after. You guys want the icecream don't you? Well, it's awesome, get yourself a big fat banana split, a sundae, cones, tube, to eat in, or you can purchase little cinema style single serving tubs, or treat yourself to varying litres, yes, litres. I'm personally always a fan of a banana split, as I can pretend I'm not being completely awful to my waistline, and you get to pick three flavours. My current absolute favourite is the Jaffa cake icecream, I described it to my other half, and he said its description was more unnecessarily arousing than the old marks and Spencer's ads. This isn't just any icecream, this is: tiramisu, Turkish delight, vanilla, blackcurrant, tutti fruity, bubblegum, chocolate, blackcurrant and licorice, ginger and lime, cappuccino, strawberry, dulce de leche, banana, banoffee, mint n choc, cherry, honeycomb, and so so much more thick, creamy, jersey cow deliciousness. There are loads of flavors, my favourites so far are raspberry swirl, humbug and honeycomb - yum yum yum! It's really cheap considering it is home made ice cream. You can buy it by the cone or in various sized tubs. Obviously the bigger tub you buy, the cheaper it works out per litre ( by the biggest!! He he ). There is a lovely field outside with picnic benches, perfect to drive, cycle or walk to. If coming from Stafford it is possible to get there on a cycle path, google it.
