I went here a few weeks ago for a "Rejuvenation Facial" with Lacey. There are so many estheticians to chose from in Denver, but I was pleased with my services. Bel Viso is located downtown and fairly easy to find. It is located right next to a parking structure which is convenient (be prepared to pay for parking). The location is small but very welcoming inside. They offer a number of services like: lashes, brow tinting, wedding makeup and hair etc. It is worth some research online if you are interested. Anyway, Lacey works in a small room which is the perfect size for what she does. Is it comfortable and well lit. Lacey took her time and did a great job focusing on my face. She also massages your back and arms/hands which is heaven. My face felt great after the service. Some things to note: the room is not completely enclosed so the lighting is a bit bright and it is a little louder than most places I have gotten facials. Just be prepared and bring some ear plugs if you like the silence or make the first appointment when no one else is there. I will go back again and would recommend Lacey! read more

First off, I'd like to preface this by saying that my first experience here was great. The owner was very nice and attentive. Today, I got my eyebrows done and I literally walked out of there looking like bozo the clown. One eyebrow was perfect, while the other was noticeably shorter and thinner, absolutely no symmetry. As we finished I asked if she had something to put on my eyebrows - to which her response was "like what?" O I don't know I was thinking something to reduce redness or remove the excess wax, but what do I know? I would never write something like this but hours later I'm fuming as I think about how I can cover up this atrocity up for the next few weeks. Embarrassing. read more

I was called a few days before my wedding, and was told the girl that did the trial run for my hair (who I very much liked) no longer worked for the salon, and would not be able to be there for my wedding. On the day of my wedding the hair and make-up artists arrived an hour late, which put us behind for the rest of the day. My makeup was done very well on the day of, but I was a little frustrated that my hair did not look at all like the trial, even though Lindsay assured me the new hair person would be able to replicate the trial I had done. I did not have time to fix it because they were so late, and had other hair to do. My sister was curling and prepping hair for the hair stylist since they were running out of time to complete everyone. I was recommended to the salon due to the owner, but did not actually get to work with her for my wedding. If I were you, I would pass on this salon, it made my day much more stressful than I needed- and they were too expensive for me not to have my hair look how I had expected :( read more

I was recently a bridesmaid in a wedding for which Lindsay and two of her assistants did the hair and makeup. After Lindsay moved our appointment back several hours and then also arrived late, it was clear we were going to be extremely tight on time. However, there was a near-total lack of urgency shown by the team until the very end of the day, by which time everyone was extremely stressed and anxious. (At one point, in spite of the time crunch, one of the assistants stepped into the bathroom to touch up her own makeup...). Multiple times, Lindsay had to stop her two assistants and take over seemingly straightforward tasks (e.g., curling hair). After most of my makeup had been done by an assistant, I had to wait for Lindsay to re-do my false eyelashes because the assistant was unable to figure out how to adhere them. When Lindsay turned to me to take care of the lashes, she took one look at the makeup job and said "This is a mess." The hair and makeup turned out well in the end, but caused a lot of anxiety and frustration that could have been avoided. read more

THE WORST HAIR AND MAKEUP SERVICE CO IN DENVER! I found this company online through the YELP review and felt based on some of the review and also the company's website they could do a great job for me on my wedding day. I scheduled a trial session for hair and makeup with the owner LINDSAY. When I got there I was shocked at how GHETTO the facility is. That should have given me the red flag. I waited in the lobby for over 30 mins past my scheduled time as Lindsay finished with a client. We ended up doing airbrush makeup which ended up given me a skin rash or some sort of skin disease as 4 weeks past by and my face still has not healed. I had big rashy itchy bumps all over my face. I spoke with some other face experts and they told me the reason for this skin rash was: 1) I may have had an allergic reaction which should have gone away within a few days not 4 weeks and 2) she did NOT practice proper cleansing practices for her brushes 3) she reused old spray foundation from previous clients BASICALLY, she is disgusting and dirty! The best part of my experience with this lady was that she ended up telling me that she can't be at my wedding day AFTER I paid her the deposit. She was going to have her staff fill in for me. So, I argued that I already paid for a trial practice and now I would need to pay for another trial practice with her staff. The asshole told me that she has to pay her staff and yes, she will give me a 20% discount! I cancelled immediately. What kind of BULL SHIT is this?? I was so nervous about this, but they were very professional and answered all of my questions leading up to the wedding. At the trial, Lindsay took care to ask me exactly what I wanted each step of the way. We hardly made any changes for the actual wedding because she was so detail-oriented at the trial itself!
