A smart technician at lo and behold Costco told me this. She did a 1 1/2 hour hearing test on me and refused to sell me a hearing aid after she discovered b. Hinderliter sold me hearing aids (which didn't work) after only 1/2 hour quickie of a test. Yes, all is spic and span and smiling there - but: is that a priority? It costs S350 to make a good hearing aid - so you can calculate Hinderliter's profit margins! Do ask questions!!!

My wife suggested I check whether the repair would be covered under warranty. When I called, I was told it was--but that I'd have to pay a $344 deductible, and they would send the device out for repair. This is a clear example of a company prioritizing profit over the customer. Unfortunately, many people would never think to research whether such a repair could be done themselves. From the very beginning of my experience with this location, I've never felt valued as a customer. I obtained my hearing aids through a program for the underprivileged in Michigan, yet I was consistently treated as though I should be "grateful" for their help. At one point, a doctor even accused me of lying when I described the poor treatment I received. My hearing aids cost over $3,500, and regardless of who pays the bill, every patient deserves to be treated with respect. Do your research--there are better providers out there than this one.
