I started going to Align Chiropractic which operates in this building because they accepted my…read moreinsurance. The doctor is very friendly and so is the rest of the staff. I unfortunately, however, will be searching for a new chiropractor because I feel like I was wasting my time here. I'm pregnant and was constantly expressing my concerns only to be told it was normal because of pregnancy but was not offered any alternative forms of relief. I feel like the doctor just did his five minute adjustment routine as protocol and didn't really listen to me when I expressed constant discomfort of my lower spine. The pain is to the point where I am quite nervous to go into labor. I guess I just wish he would have offered to try other methods of adjustment instead of just sticking to his routine and chalking up all my suffering to be an "unavoidable part of pregnancy." I do understand that there are some things you are going to expect with pregnancy but I didn't seek care to be told it was just how things were going to be, I seek care to find a solution to my pain. In his defense, there is a limitation to what can be done on pregnant women, but I feel like this isn't that surface level. I just didn't feel like he actually cared or was listening to what was hurting me so badly. Try the place out for yourself though, and don't let my opinion stop you from seeing them.

First, the office definitely needs better time management…read more They overbook, and even the Dr. agreed. A 10:30 appointment, we were called back at 11:25, then another wait to see the doc, .30 minutes. We left a 10:30 appointment at 12:45. This is very frustrating for someone who has to get to work and made time, and was on time for an appointment. Second, the forms were abundant and redundant. Then the intake person asked the same questions on the forms. Then the Dr. and the PA asked the same questions asked by the intake person and the original forms. Last, the Dr. was attentive, kind, caring and apologetic for the wait. My mom really liked him, and so did I. His bedside manner is top notch! He was able to help short term, while we wait until another appointment for hopefully a longer term solution. Hopefully his solutions will allow my mom to live a pain free life. TBD.

Further to the last post where I detailed how Holly (a registered nurse and the owner) left me with…read moresecond degree burns from the laser treatment, I have now had to be on antibiotics for some of the burn wounds becoming infected, was on prescription pain killers, had to get a tetanus shot, have been both to urgent care and the family doctor multiple times to deal with the second degree burns. And, according to the family doctor will almost certainly have permanent scars from the laser burns Holly inflicted. My lawyers have reached out to Holly to obtain her insurance info, which she is refusing to provide. Further, Holly had promised to refund the $200 gift card I had with her. She has not. And has kept an additional $50 she charged to my credit card that she was never entitled to. (Which I have filed a fraud report with my credit card company over.) Do not get treated at Reawaken Spa. Not only did Holly leave me with documented (by her, me, and multiple sets of doctors) second degree burns, but she is not professional enough to take responsibility for them by letting her insurance company and my lawyers properly settle the matter. Based on this action of her, I fear the only remedy is going to court (vice settling it between the lawyers and her insurance, since she refused that option) and filing a report with her RN licensing board because I genuinely fear what she will do to her patients, especially as a nurse.

I went in for a touch up laser hair removal. Holly used a black tattoo pen to mark the area that…read moreneeded attention. However, when the laser came in contact with the marker, it left, what urgent care confirmed, 2nd degree burns all up and down my legs directly over the marker's marks. Urgent Care also had to put me on prescription pain killer as it was painful to sit, sleep, put on or take off pants, shower, etc. I now have medical appointments to deal with the burns well into next week. On top of all this, I drove back to the med spa an hour after the appointment to show Holly the burns (which she photographed for her own records) and she took no accountability in an email she sent hours later despite initially sending in a prescription for antibiotic ointment to my pharmacy.

I returned 3 more times, saw 4 different people, a different one for each visit, got the wrong diagnosis, no proper follow up, and no biopsy was taken until I asked for one on the third visit. They only prescribed my steroid pills and cream, and no proper research was done. Finally, they said it was an allergy, at which point I went to the head of the Allergy department at Henry Ford Hospital. He said it was not an allergy at all, and I needed to see a good Dermatologist. I went to the Dermatology department at Henry Ford Hospital; they took a new biopsy and diagnosed me with Grover's disease in less than two weeks. They told me to stop taking all the steroid cream and prescribed a 3-step plan for my disease. I will NEVER return to Eastside again, and I recommend no one else goes to them either. Also, the visits were extremely short and yet they charged for each one. I wrote them a letter and refused to pay for unprofessional service and inaccurate information.

I feel bad for the one medical assistant that actually appears to be doing any sort of work. I can't remember her name, but I recall her being the only chubby black woman actually doing anything. I think there was another one always sitting in the back, but again they don't appear to be helping much at all.
